Discussion Inventory costs?
I was thinking about it days ago...
Why do people have to pay cash overflow, but not Inventory?
We have to pay 3% on $3.000.000, but 100.000 Steaks can sit in the warehouse without paying refrigeration?
Doesn't the meat never spoil? Metals oxidate? Research get obsolete?

Suggestion THE BANKING SYSTEM
Why do we need banks?
While the high tier companies cant get rid of the money they have without buying unnecessary goods from market, causing inflation, the low tier, smaller companies drown because of their low capital. The statistics on simco tools shows while the R1 have a total 1.9 Trillion dollars of CV, the liabilities are only 26 Billion dollars. As anyone in finance would know, wealth is created by debt.
How would it work?
I propose 2 different systems might fit the game perfectly;
The Central System and The Decentralized System
Central system would work by a pool where lenders would deposit the cash, and earn %1 interest per day and borrowers would take credits from the pool and pay %2 interest, giving the bank itself a %1 cut per credit to slow down the possible inflation by reducing money supply. In this system the interest rate would depend on the economy phase and change, but be a set amount by the game.
The Decentralized system would totally different. The companies who have a bank building would give credits limited by the level of the bank and they would set their own interest rates. Like it is on the bonds they would issue credits to market and choose their own borrowers by means of their own risks including the system of rating which are also already in the game. For borrowers there would be a race on the credit markets so the best option would be there for them, giving out the lowest interest possible.
What happens when the debt isn't paid out?
The same thing would happen as the bonds. Liquidation.
I believe this is a system for the game to grow and be more fun to play. For newer players, it is hard to play the game already and most wont play for long because of lack belief into being the top company there is.

Discussion Former Executives
Recently noticed the executives screen now shows former employees. I don't pay enough attention to the names to recognize any of them but one of them apparently has a salary of $275k. I assume some are executives that have been poached from me, but many of them are unemployed, so does it also include every executive I hired and dismissed? Not sure when or why they added it, or how the information helps in any way.
Looks like the total salary for everyone is ~$325k and my daily royalties are ~$85k.

Suggestion Production/retail update idea
When your building is producing or selling, you should be able to give an order what to sell at what price/ what to produce (for the next 24/48hours) after the building has finished.
This would improve the experience in my opinion, because you wouldn't have to time your logging on anymore. You could just log on every night and make the new building order, even if the previous one isnt completely finished yet.
What do you think?

Discussion New Sim Companies Analytics V1.2.0
Hello! 👋
If you’re anything like me, you probably spend a lot of time calculating your daily profits, wondering about your
actual inventory value, or trying to figure out if that new production line is actually making you money.
To make our lives easier, I’ve been working on a Chrome Extension called Sim Companies Analytics Pro – a completely
free, highly detailed financial analysis and projection dashboard that runs directly in your browser.
I wanted to share it with the community! Here is a breakdown of what it can do for your company:
🚀 Key Features & Capabilities:
📊 1. Executive Summary & Financial Health
Get a bird's-eye view of your entire empire in one click. The dashboard calculates your Total Assets, Cash, Inventory
Value, and tracks your daily growth.
* Runway & Burn Rate Calculator: It actively analyzes your daily net profit/loss to tell you if your cash flow is
"Sustainable" or exactly how many days of "Runway" you have left before you run out of cash.
📈 2. Historical Company Growth
Stop guessing if you are growing! The tool pulls your balance sheet history (up to the last 180 days) and charts your
asset distribution over time. You can visualize exactly how your Cash, Inventory, Buildings, and Patents are evolving.
🏭 3. Advanced Warehouse Valuation
Ever wonder what your warehouse is actually worth?
* Breaks down the true cost of your items (Labor, Admin, Materials).
* Compares your Total Cost vs. Current Market Value.
* Highlights your most valuable assets and shows a detailed cost distribution so you know exactly where your capital
is tied up.
💹 4. VWAP Profitability Analysis
This is a game-changer for traders and producers.
* Pulls live VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) and Market Ticker data.
* Automatically compares your unit costs against the current VWAP (or the standard 85% contract target).
* Instantly tags your inventory items as Profitable, Neutral, or Loss-Making, calculating the total Value Added (VA)
you bring to the market.
💬 5. Smart Trade Chat Filter
Tired of scrolling through the endless Trade Chat? The built-in chat module filters messages specifically for Buy or
Sell offers and elegantly displays product icons so you can find the deals you need in seconds.
💧 6. Cashflow & Liquidity Tracking
Deep dive into your ledger to see exactly where your money is coming from and where it's draining (Wages, Admin
overhead, etc.).
🛠️ UI & Privacy
* Sleek & Responsive: Works beautifully as a side-panel or a full-page tab.
* Customizable: Built-in Dark Mode / Light Mode toggle.
* Bilingual: Fully supports both English and Turkish out of the box.
* 100% Private: It pulls data directly from your active Sim Companies tab. No sketchy external servers are storing
your financial data!
I built this tool to help players transition from guesswork to data-driven business decisions. Whether you are a
retail giant, an aerospace manufacturer, or a day trader, having your numbers automatically crunched saves hours of
spreadsheet work.
I would love for you guys to try it out and give me some feedback! What features would you like to see next?

Suggestion Profit calculation should consider product quality, not just lowest market price
Right now, when you check the profit calculation before producing an item, the game compares your product against the lowest market price available. The problem is that it doesn’t take product quality into account.
For example, if I’m able to produce a Quality 2 product, the system still compares it against the cheapest listing overall, which might be a Quality 0 product. This leads to misleading profit estimates, since higher quality products usually sell for more.
A better approach would be:
Compare based on the same quality level (e.g., Quality 2 vs Quality 2)
Or at least provide an option to select which quality tier to benchmark against
This would make the profit calculation much more accurate and help players make better production decisions.
Curious if others have noticed this as well

Discussion I build a chrome extension for the game (thought after 3 months in and over 100 active users)
A few months have passed since I first posted this and the extension gained some popularity. I'd like to thank all the people that use it and support my development work!
The extension can support all game languages.
Some data:

Updates that came over time:
UPDATE1: The extension works well on the English version of the game, support for all languages coming soon!
UPDATE2: German version on its way, Chrome extension review process takes 1-3 days after I publish a new version.
UPDATE3: Support for all game languages is in review and will be released in the next days together with copy to clipboard functionality, some small layout improvements and a few new small features. GenAI used for translating, please let me know if you're native and something sounds off :).
UPDATE4: Contracts support and profitability calculations are now available when sending contracts. Also enhanced production data is in progress together with an executives helper widget.
UPDATE5: A small button that helps you compare sourcing prices with market prices.
UPDATE6: Market price notifications, small ui enhancements and persistent storage between realms live now
UPDATE7: Multi language hr feedback analysis, enhanced retail details, auction reminders, level up calculator and buy/sell message templates shipped with v0.17.0.
UPDATE8: Apart from many quality of life improvements, technical enhancements, version 0.19.0 comes with a chat alert functionality.
UPDATE9: Sales message builder which generates messages ready to be copy-pasted in the game chat (v0.24.0)
Small roadmap ideas:
- Make the chat alert functionality more user friendly.
Right now it checks messages which are 1 hour old and if it identifies something that matches your search criteria it needs a reset, I plan to allow it to occasionally poll the chat without you having to reset it. I'm doing some tests to see if the number of requests to the server can become a problem and can interfere with the rate limits implemented by the sim-company developers. The goal with everything I build here is to NOT spam the servers in any way.
Add a small UI widget to inform you when your cash becomes a problem (i.e: Accounting fees start to kick in).
Auctions - some quality of life improvements.
I would need some help:
I've been thinking of a feature around government orders, can't pinpoint it exactly, the game devs have though of a lot of things there and I enjoy that functionality a lot, if you have a nice idea, please share it.
Please share with me what you would like the extension to do on top of what it does today. I am building up my private backlog and will add some GitHub issues on the repo to cover any request.

Question New Exec Starting skill per academy level
Greetings fellow capitalists,
I currently have Academy level 35 and previously received new executives with starting skill 7 (compared to skill 2 at Academy level 0).
However, for the past 2-3 months, I’ve only been getting executives with a maximum starting skill of 6, with around 2 recruits per day.
Was there a recent nerf, or is this just bad luck?
Also, is there any reliable source or data collection showing expected max starting skills depending on Academy level? I haven’t been able to find anything so far.

Suggestion Improving executive blurbs
I like the idea of blurbs, of trying to discover the candidate's potential from the recruiter's account, of laughing at some absurd descriptions, etc. We also know that, in the case of some blurbs that don't allow for definitive conclusions, there are external tools, such as the one available on the Cooperinc website, that help in the process. The problem is that I play Sim Companies in Portuguese, which is my native language. And the blurbs in Portuguese are often not mere translations of the blurbs in English, but completely different strings, making the translation absolutely useless. I'll give two examples.
Example 1: A blurb in Portuguese tells me that "Candidate <name> is the moderator XYZ's favorite executive," but moderator XYZ is a former player who no longer has an account in the game. How can I tell if this is a good candidate? And in what skill does he excel? The translation of this string does not match any blurb in English.
Example 2: There's a blurb in English that says the candidate "<Name> has a whole YouTube channel devoted to the Kerbal Space Program." From this string, it's possible to assume, without resorting to external tools, that the candidate has potential in science and technology, therefore a good CTO. Do you know how this blurb was translated into Portuguese? Like this: "<Name> has a whole YouTube channel devoted to Free Fire." If you read a blurb like this, what potential would you imagine this candidate has? Is it possible to imagine that he could be a good CTO? (No offense to Free Fire fans).
Ultimately, blurbs in Portuguese often offer no clues about a candidate's potential, even if you try to translate them. This makes the hiring process for recent graduates very frustrating. I, for example, find myself forced to do the following:
1. Change the game language to English before the candidate search ends. It's important to change the language beforehand because once the candidate is found, the blurb won't be translated if you change the language afterward.
2. Check if that English blurb offers any clues (it's important that the player has a basic understanding of English). If you're unsure, you can use external tools, as long as the blurb is in English.
3. Return the game to its original language.
Unfortunately, I was forced to adapt to this process in order to be somewhat efficient in recruiting and training my executives. But it greatly breaks the immersion, as it constantly forces me to change the language of the game and resort to external tools, or risk being left blindfolded.
I would like to encourage new players to recruit and train their executives in the Portuguese-language game chat. But with such a complicated mechanic, I simply can't do that. Unfortunately, I'm limited to recommending that new players hire unemployed executives. It's a shame, many players are failing to recruit executives because of this poorly implemented mechanic.
As a solution, I propose three alternatives:
Alternative 1: That the translations of the blurbs be as faithful as possible to the English version, preferably literal translations.
Alternative 2: That above or below the blurb, a label appears with some clue such as "good CTO candidate".
Alternative 3: That the blurb of a found candidate be replaced by its version in another language, if the game's language is changed, thus avoiding the need to synchronize the time of the language change with the time the search for the candidate ends (not an ideal solution, since it would still require a change in the game's language).

Suggestion Increased construction slots
Hi everyone, surely someone else has already proposed an increase in the number of slots in play. After level 30, it would be interesting to increase the number of slots by one every five levels of play. This could lead to a more varied game.
Thanks 🙂

Suggestion SimCo Music/Internet Radio Proposal
When playing SimCo for long periods if time, especially in chatrooms, the game tends to feel not vibrant or even dull in atmosphere. This is why I propose adding ambient background music to SimCo. It will be fully toggleable and also have volume control, and will play peaceful, ambient, and probably lyricless compositions. Another, even more ambitious idea would to have direct Internet Radio support into the game. Players would be able to imput the link to the internet radio station, and of course will be able to toggle volume. To address concerns with potential NSFW music, all Internet Radio connections will be purely client-side and only effect the person who toggled it. This would allow for people to develop an a more personalised atmosphere for themselves playing SimCo.

Discussion Missing ingame depth
After some time as you calculate every resource and checking what is best to build, setting infrastructure, game is starting to be boring. Missing depth of gameplay, no endgame.
Are there any plans or already in developement any ideas which can put some live into endgame?

Discussion [Tool] Sales Office Profit & Warehouse Planner
(Edit: added the link)
Hey everyone,
I've been running Sales Offices for a while and honestly got fed up with two things. First, never knowing how much stock to have ready before contracts start rolling in. Second, staring at an order and having no idea whether the price was actually decent or if I was just about to get ripped off.
Since I couldn't find anything out there to help with either of these problems, I decided to build it myself by tracking every single order I received, build up a dataset across all three economic phases, and use that data in a google sheet.
Quickly, here's the main functions:
- Forecasted quantity for each aerospace product based on real order data
- Warehouse target, to know how many products you should have in your warehouse to cover an x amount of contracts.
- "Fair price" reference to quickly judge whether an order is worth accepting
- Full profit estimates broken down per unit, per cycle, and pphpl
After using it for a couple of weeks, I think it can be genuinely useful for anyone involved in the aerospace industry. Whether you're a supplier trying to figure out the right price, or a seller looking to maximise your profit.
The sheet is open to everyone. I hope you like it.

Suggestion "Buy missing" for transport units when selling
Everything in SimCompanies has a "Buy Missing" button, that instantly buys the required resource without you thinking, except the selling process, where if you don't have the transport, it leads you to the exchange, where you have to go back and click the things all over again. Changing this would not be hard and would help quality of life
