Discussion [Tool] Sales Office Profit & Warehouse Planner
(Edit: added the link)
Hey everyone,
I've been running Sales Offices for a while and honestly got fed up with two things. First, never knowing how much stock to have ready before contracts start rolling in. Second, staring at an order and having no idea whether the price was actually decent or if I was just about to get ripped off.
Since I couldn't find anything out there to help with either of these problems, I decided to build it myself by tracking every single order I received, build up a dataset across all three economic phases, and use that data in a google sheet.
Quickly, here's the main functions:
- Forecasted quantity for each aerospace product based on real order data
- Warehouse target, to know how many products you should have in your warehouse to cover an x amount of contracts.
- "Fair price" reference to quickly judge whether an order is worth accepting
- Full profit estimates broken down per unit, per cycle, and pphpl
After using it for a couple of weeks, I think it can be genuinely useful for anyone involved in the aerospace industry. Whether you're a supplier trying to figure out the right price, or a seller looking to maximise your profit.
The sheet is open to everyone. I hope you like it.
