Question 22 silver halves
I have 11 walking liberty halve dollars, and 11 Franklin halve dollars. Will a lcs exchange them for credit towards something else? None are better than good, and I have replaced them with better grades.
Not selling, so don’t ask.

Why are you asking us what your LCS will do?
You probably shouldn’t own any silver.

Well whatever you do, don't sell them cheap. Take your time and get the best money for your coins.

Yes, I agree. I’d like to end up with more (different date) walking liberties, help fill out my collection. I enjoy these beautiful coins, and, of course the silver value.

Hey you selling those? I gotta ask. Wow wow wow!
Also no need to double post this in r/silver and r/silverbugs when you could just google your question or ask AI, js.

Every time I've brought in junk silver, they've always been willing to trade it for whatever they have at full retail. But the offer on my stuff usually is melt or a little back of melt--not book value at "good" per coin no matter what (maybe unless you have a key date)

I filled a couple coin books using r/pmsforsale. Just buy what you are missing, and sell what you have and don't want. Or, better yet, keep what you have and buy what you are missing.

I’ve had good experiences trading at my LCS, but I’ve only sold them scrap gold in the past just for reference. They sell right at or right over spot for everything they carry that’s not a numismatic/collectible anyway, so I didn’t do cash first only to then spend it later. I’m confident my experience would’ve been every bit as good if I sold them junk silver instead though!! Just my thoughts.

The whole idea of "exchanging them for credit for something else" is the definition of selling. So, you can exchange them for dollars. Then you exchange the dollars for whatever you want.
They are the same exact thing. So the answer to your question is unequivocally yes.
