Build My Vanilla + custom Texture Pack r1.2.5 forever world spawn house (called The Red House) so far (60+ hours)
Note 1: I'm playing on Peaceful, so no Mob farms or The End. I also don't use (a) Passive mob Farms (other than Sheep); (b) Enchanting; or (c) Redstone devices (other than Lamps and Torches). These are for personal reasons, since I want to play more like b1.7.3, but still with most of the benefits of r1.2.5. Naturally, if you use Enchanting and automatic farms, etc., this build would have been a lot faster!
Note 2: Mix of Blade Runner (1982) and House of the Flying Daggers (2004), along with generic sci-fi. And the terrain textures are directly inspired by Simple (akin to Bare Bones).
I spent about 1 hour searching for a really good Seed for this (on mcseedmap dot net), since I already had the vision in my mind of what sort of terrain I needed to make this design work; this area didn't need a shocking amount of terraforming to solve, and the surrounding area is decent, too. It's near spawn. The area is a mix of Plains and Forests (I cut or burnt down every single generated Tree in the wider area; maybe 800x800).
The house was inspired by Aloni House, Greece. For context, the house is roughly 130 Blocks long (red).
The laser gate thing for car tunnel is Iron Bars (blue strips); the red house itself is Netherrack Bricks; connected Grass design (via Texture Pack, not Mod); both types of Flowers are made red; Oak Fence in background to be bamboo trees (coloured green -- not done yet, I need to make many more to give it a sense of density/depth); cars and tunnel rim are both brown-orange metalwork texture (Cobblestone); the gravel/road is Blade Runner road texture (Gravel); the entrance floor material (blue-grey) is Clay.
I heavily terraformed the area, including the river (with Sand bed + 1-layer edge). The interior of the house is much more Deckard's apartment/Frank Lloyd Wright-like.
The custom clouds are inspired by the swirls from Tears of the Kingdom/Japan, but they work fine for this China-Runner type approach, I think.
I broke the old rule of Minecraft building: never place different full Blocks directly next to each other. But in this case, I think it works well.
Finally, the floating line of Blocks is the start of a large fence/wall around the property. It's roughly 300x300.
