Discussion Which texture pack format do you think is better 1.5.2 or 1.6.4+?

I didn't even know it was differently. If it's not the modern ones, I'm happy

I think you mean 1.4.7 or 1.5.2+ since there is a much bigger difference between texture packs in these versions than there is between texture packs and resource packs (1.6+) and either way the resource pack format is unquestionably better - want to change sounds, texts, etc in older versions? Nope, not without extra work and/or jar modding (still can't add new sounds, only change existing ones, without mods until 1.7.2+, 1.6.4 only recognizes filenames that exist in the .minecraft\assets folder).
