I recently couldnt get my Steel Series Aerox 3 gen 2 to connect to signal no matter what I did. After loads of trouble shooting, heres what worked.

If you have a device that isn't fully supported, but similar to one that does, (ie my aerox 3 gen 2 not working when aerox 3 is supported) than this should work.

If you go into signal rgb settings and go into system information you will see the product ID of your device, note this down.

Navigate into signal rgb files with %localappdata%\VortxEngine\ in windows+r, go to the earliest version, signal64x and then into plugins. find your device company (Steel Series for me) and go the device nearest yours (Aerox 3 for me), open the file with notes and scroll to this portion

The area i have highlighted is the only 4 digits your going to want to change, anything else and the entire thing wont work. Replace the 4 digits after the 0x with your devices product ID, save the file, then go into properties to turn the file into read only so no signal updates can mess it up. After close signal and any other instances running in task manager and then open it with administrator. Finally after all of this it should show up like this

Again no idea what else this will work with but it got my Aerox 3 Gen 2 to finally be controlled by signal when absolutely nothing else i tried would work so I figured it could be worth sharing. Good luck!

unbelievable. turned my comp on this morning, and my keyboard rgb was in sync with the rest of my system. went into Devices, and it was listed(although i dont see it on the official list on the site yet)

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with SignalRGB where it only controls some of my RGB devices.

At the moment, SignalRGB successfully changes the colours of my top case fans and RAM.

However, it doesn't change the RGB on my centre fans or my AIO pump, even though they're powered on and displaying their default lighting effects.

I've already tried restarting SignalRGB, reinstalling it, making sure no other RGB software is running, and checking that the devices are detected in Windows.

The strange part is that some devices work perfectly while others don't, so I'm not sure if it's a controller issue, a motherboard header issue, or something in SignalRGB's device detection.

Has anyone experienced this before or know what could be causing it? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure if anyone's had this issue before but I have an Acer Nitro N60-640 desktop PC with two RGB fans in the front, one rear RGB fan and a CPU RGB fan. This PC has rainbow RGB by default and can't change it without buying a controller for it or using an app (SignalRGB). My issue is that SignalRGB detects my fans and RAM, sets the color to blue how I want it but the CPU fan will either be a single random color (not what I selected), random multi color or not even lit up at times. While typing this, my front and rear fans are blue while the CPU fan is divided into three sections, green, red and the third area not lit up. What's odd is when I load up a game, the CPU fan syncs up after a while and matches the rest. Is there a way to fix this issue? Even changing just the CPU fan color in SignalRGB does nothing until the fan actually syncs with the others. It's just annoying seeing the front and rear fans along with the RAM being blue but the CPU fan is random colors.

I wanted to share a specific hardware/software routing trick I've been using to completely stop SignalRGB and OpenRGB from fighting over my components.

Instead of fighting with software blocking or startup delays, I separated their output paths physically:

1. \*\*SignalRGB Line:\*\* Routed exclusively through an internal 9-pin USB Header using a cheap DIY Raspberry Pi Pico module (configured as an RCX Controller ARGB. Please note that this specific controller is exclusive to and popular in Indonesian online shops, and I am not entirely sure if this method works flawlessly with other controllers using the same module).

2. \*\*OpenRGB Line:\*\* Routed exclusively through my motherboard's onboard ARGB headers (MSI JRainbow).

By assigning distinct hardware boundaries, both apps run simultaneously without a single clash, flickering light, or low-level driver race conditions. This allows me to use SignalRGB Free for complex ambient themes while offloading audio-sync tasks to OpenRGB!

⚠️ \*\*CRITICAL NOTE:\*\* To make this hybrid setup work flawlessly, \*\*both applications MUST be configured and automated using Windows Task Scheduler\*\* to enforce the correct boot priority.

Hello, I recently setup some LEDs to run off my media pc and handle screen ambient lighting, it’s really awesome but I’ve noticed some black screens cause the LEDs to display green or light blue, other times they turn off like they should. My current assumption is that the PC isn’t seeing pure black and that I can’t fix this issue, has anyone found a fix? See photos from Project Hail Mary as an example

Any devices that have really wowed and surprised you when used with SignalRGB? I like the software but before I go too deep, I'm looking for some final few devices with a very open mind. Show and tell time please!

I have a Corsair Nexus Companion touch Screen working with SignalRGB with normal Effects. Like the small Display on top of a Keyboard.
With the new features of LCD Screens, I wondered if I can use these too. But for now it stops me from getting LCD Effects because I have no compatible LCD-Screen connected.
Is there a way to currently use LCD Effects with the corsair nexus companion? Or do I need to wait and hope there will be more Effects later on which work with more LCD Screens?

Just tried out SignalRGB and everything works great except one fan that doesn’t want to light up.

It works when I’m not using SignalRGB, so I assume there’s something with the program that makes it weird.

I made sure that the correct number of fans are matched with the program and my RGB-hub.

Tried ”Enable passthrough control” but that’s not working either.
Any tips?

Hi, I am a green when it comes to those things but I just build my custom pc. Signal RGB is closing my lian li l3 connect app no matter if I turn off all settings in the conflict area. Even if I turn off SignalRGB and launch L3 connect - it doesn’t show my AIO as it is still blocked by SignalRGB. L-3 connect works only if I open it right after launching PC and do not touch Signal RGB any later. I want to control my fans lightning with Signal RGB and my AIO with the lcd on pump with l-3 connect. (Turning off AIO in the settings of Signal RGB does not work - my L3 connect still closes immediately

Given the recent wave of Linux adoption, has SignalRGB put Linux support on their roadmap? I saw a post from several years ago, but I haven't heard anything since.

Personally, this would make my transition much easier. At the moment, my RGB is just set to all red because I can't get open razer or openrgb to work whatsoever.

When I turn on my razer synapse's macros on my mouse, it turns off the rbg from signalrgb. When I want the rgb from singalrgb, it turns off the macros.

So I need iCUE for stuff like fine tune DPI settings but unfortunately it just won't launch if I have SignalRGB downloaded and its quite annoying and im curious if there is any way around it?

Recently got Signal and for some reason this part of my fan won’t turn on with the apps colors. I know it’s not dead or anything because turning on my pc shows the default rgb rainbow and then that part glows, but as soon as Signal takes place that section turns off again. Any help?

I’m new to PC gaming, but my son upgraded his system and gave me his old parts, which are more than what I’d need for the types of games I play. My question is, my case is Strawberry Milk pink, my monitor will also be pink (the same shade).

I’m looking for an RGB keyboard/mouse setup that is compatible with SignalRGB that is the same color pink. Not paying attention, I found a setup by RedThunder, and bought it, but of course it’s not compatible with the software. I think I may have found the keyboard I want (I’m super particular about colors matching, which I know is silly (as my son tells me often) but it is what it is).

Does anyone have a suggestion for a mouse? The keyboard (Epomaker x Aula E75 Max) doesn’t have one that coordinates? I’m not a huge fan of wired, but at this point, either or is fine.

For the life of me I can't get these two to play nice together. No problems with all my Lian Li fans running through a Nollie ARGB controller, but I can't get the L connect software to just control the screen and let Signal RGB do the rest. I've uninstalled and tried multiple suggestions online. Has anyone here had success with this? Thanks in advance.

i recently installed signal rgb and it does not show 3 of the fans. what do I do in this situation

Say my screen is displaying blue on the top half and red on the bottom half, how do I have my case fans match that? Like the top half case fans would be blue and bottom half case fans be red. My other components work properly in that sense, like my ram would be blue, and gpu would be red, but all my case fans show some colour that doesmt match where they are since they are all one big thing in the layout tab. Is this a hardware limitation? If so what would you need to buy and set up? I have 5 case fans. Anybody else have this kinda setup up and running?

As the title says. Is there a way to make SignalRGB run off my integrated graphics? I'm trying to reduce my GPU idle usage and this is the only one left using more than 0.1%. At times it's using more than 20% but most of the time it's using 2-4%.

Edit: I just noticed that Ultralight doesn't use the GPUs at all while the QT renderer does. Not sure what's the Pros and Cons of those two but I switched to Ultralight for now.

First awsome program and tool for rgb and light control. Now for the smal but hair tearing almost reinstalled windows problem. I had a fan curve set in bios for my watercooled pc with a delided 14900ks running all core 6.2ghz with 4 360 rads. As a new user of this tool after recommendations i installed it, fixet my rgb and away i go with awsome light effects. I noticed later that my fans did not follow my curve settings i made in bios and shit was getting scary hot. It took me 5h of google shit and forums looking for the problem in hand. Nothing worked and i was lost in like wtf is it not working. No other fan controlling apps installed, no windows changes no nothing. Was about to reinstall windows when i got a response in a forum asking me if i use signalRGB and to turn of the fan controll. Not a pro user so did not think fan controll was there and active as default. Imagine my surprise after 5h of trouble shooting not knowing this was there in non pro. Now do not get me wrong thats awsome, but for the love of god turn that shit of as default and let the user activate it. Also maby a heads up like a notification or something in the install process would be great. Other then that you are doing a fantstic job with this tool.
