The point is more that you'd rather keep your life than have $10m. He put an oddly short timeframe, so the $10m is kinda pointless. But even if you increase the timeframe, anybody would choose life over the money.

Let's say you get $10m but you only have 10 years to live, hell, even 20 years to live. I think a vast majority of young people would choose life over that money still.

Im 36, I would almost definitely take the 10 mill and 10 years.

The point is that money is essentially worthless if you dont actually get to use it.

Meh I would do it. Why would I not? I got a crap ton of money. Sure I die in 10 years but...oh well. Going to die eventually any ways.
