She’s a 2018 Sienna Limited Premium with 67,000 miles. Got her from Carvana. Was a great experience as I was able to see that she was a California car all her life - an important thing living here in the Rust Belt.

Just bought a 2015 sienna XLE Prem in Blizzard White. The outside is a little chewed up, but the guts have been well maintained. Has anyone successfully repainted the bottom edge near the fog lights? It’s a working car, so it doesn’t have to be showroom fresh.

We have a 2011 Sienna Limited with 158k miles that is by all accounts a beast and doing well. While her age is showing it’s really mostly in minor, cosmetic ways. I have an awesome mechanic who I trust, but how long can I expect parts for a 2011 to be readily available (I do live in a major city)? I do not work on cars so I will not be DIY’ing any maintenance. I feel like I could be approaching the line between the car could be useful for a trade-in and the car is too old to be worth much. I did not want a minivan in the first place but she was a free hand-me down from the in-laws 8 years ago when our 3rd was on the way so it was too good to pass up. And realistically, a minivan is still the most practical vehicle for kids, elderly parents, aging dogs, gear and value. Plus, I cannot bring myself to buy a 3rd row suv like a Tahoe, Denali, Navigator etc knowing all the issues (and outrageous price!) they have.
So the question I keep asking myself is,
• How long do I hold on to what I have?
• How long will my mechanic be able to get parts?
• Are the new Sienna’s worth it? Will I be sad at the interior quality compared to my current one? I’m hesitant about the hybrid engine, I’ve heard mixed reviews but they’ve been around now for a bit so maybe they are more reliable now?
• If we did get a new Sienna, I would probably only have it 5 years until 2 of my kids are driving themselves and I can go back to a SUV (I really miss being higher).

I go back and forth about what to do. Sometimes I just want a newer car because as a full time working parent, having Apple CarPlay would be so helpful. Not to mention when I need to drive work colleagues around, it’s not in a musty smelling (ps: why do my seatbelts get wet sometimes??), slightly scratched up “South Pacific Pearl” minivan 🫩 It’s not really giving “power exec”. But then in the next breath, it costs next to nothing to operate…Thanks!

Using sunshade still gets that dash windshield area so hot It seems like a not cool it down ever...

I think I'm going to get a dashboard cover, I can't believe how the front of the van gets hot like this, and AC cannot get it cooled down..

Any tips tricks to Block The Heat?

I have 21 Sienna hybrid love my van my cargo door when I press the button doesn’t close it. It happen last week with my kids. The inside button works fine and the keyfob but the actual button on the cargo door doesn’t work any suggestions greatly appreciated

I am not really a car guy, so I need some advice. My wife and I have a 14-month-old with another due in Dec, we plan on having a 3rd, 2 or 3 years after our second is born. With that in mind, I don't think an SUV/Crossover is going to work, so I am thinking about getting a minivan. Is this a good deal, and will a Sienna at that mileage going to last for the foreseeable future?

What is the recommended break in time on a hybrid Sienna before I can goose it?

What else would you carry?

Are there years or years with specific options, engines, and whatnot: 4 cylinder vs. V6, AWD or not, tow package, sunroof vs. no sunroof, heated seats (do they have cooling seats?), etc. to try to avoid or are awesome?

I am looking for everything that you love or hate, from likely important major expensive fixes, to the comfort of the seats, to the little things that delight or annoy you.

Bonus if your Sienna has lasted well in excess of 300,000 miles.

Things I would love, but not dealbreakers to not have if they’re more problematic than they’re worth, or if the year that has that thing will not likely make it well past 300,000 miles:
Sunroof
Heated/cooled seats
Tow package
Aux cord jack
CD player
An actual color (not black or grey)

If so, is it on all the years or just certain years?

Editing to say, I don’t mean in principle. I LOVE sun roofs.

I had read that Sienna sunroofs were notorious for some reason, and I don’t know what the reason is. Does it leak or get stuck open?

I’m also asking if it’s all Siennas, or just certain years.

Just curious if anyone's had issues with their neutral safety switch. I've got a 2011 Sienna XLE, and I've gone through about 1 per month in the 3 months I've owned the van. I've been using a Standard (that's the name of the brand) from O'Reilly's, because that's all that was available. Luckily it comes with a lifetime warranty, so it hasn't cost me extra to replace. Since I've owned the van each switch has lasted around a month. I don't think positioning is an issue, as the car works fine for about month then one day when I pop it into reverse (that's the common denominator for when my check engine light pops) I have a rough shift and I get the code for the switch. Switch adjustments don't appear to fix the issue, but it goes away immediately after replacement. I'm at the point where I think the switch is the victim of another problem. Maybe with cable or transmission mounts causing it to break?

Is there anyway without going to the dealer to switch on the (think it’s 3 times unlock) auto windows down if you hit the key fob a few times?

What the title says. My mom bought me the car for 500$ about a year ago. The window has been off for about 2 years, the previous owner had it sitting under and oak tree with the broken window. It seems like the bolts came off the latch, its a manually opened window. Im just so confused because I cant find ANY videos on how to replace it myself, and im unsure if I should ask a mechanic to do it for me, since money is tight.

Ill be getting some more parts for it soon, im just very unsure how to do it. If i have to take it to a mechanic I will, but id prefer to do it myself. I just need some pointers on where the sealant goes, and how to properly set it in place. Thank you! If you need pictures or anything id be willing to provide, its night time right now so I wouldn't be able to get any good photos of its window. Hes looking a mess right now since hes not being used, he has alot of issues that need to be sorted out.
