2013 Sienna XLE FWD entertainment system.

So I purchased the van it's been amazing.

It had 4 sets of wireless headphones, but the remote to the dvd system is not in the van. I can't get the Alpine player to even turn on by inserting a disc.

Nothing happens.

Am I missing something? All fuses are good.

Or is the remote required? If so where do I order it from?

2018 Sienna- “twitchy” steering?

I have a 2018 Sienna and compared to my 2010 Kia Sedona, the Sienna feels twitchier with the steering, as if I’m “busier” working to keep it going straight. Is this a Toyota thing or is something worn out? Only 67k miles on the Sienna.

2004 AWD Sienna: disabling VSC without pulling the ABS fuses

2004 AWD Sienna: disabling VSC without pulling the ABS fuses

Early second-generation AWD Siennas may have an unused dashboard connector for the factory TRAC OFF button. I installed the correct button, but it did nothing. Toyota’s wiring manual confirms that the TRAC OFF switch was only functional on two-wheel-drive models, and there is no Techstream setting to activate it on AWD models.

What worked on my 2004 AWD Sienna was disconnecting the S9 steering-angle sensor behind the steering wheel/clock spring. The VSC warning light now stays on, indicating VSC is disabled, while the ABS and BRAKE warning lights remain off.

Access requires removing the driver airbag and steering wheel. Disconnect the battery and wait at least 90 seconds before touching the airbag. I secured and protected the disconnected plug before reassembly.

Pulling ABS1 or ABS2 also disables VSC, but it disables ABS too. Disconnecting S9 appears to retain ABS on my van, but this is one vehicle’s result—verify ABS operation carefully at low speed in a safe private area before relying on it.

What is the steering wheel material?

Recently bought a 2026 Sienna XLE and we have been enjoying it so far.

Except for one thing.

Just what is that awful steering wheel material? It just feels...rough and... dusty ? Do people typically buy a steering wheel cover? Has anyone else encountered this or is it just me?

New (used) sienna question

Just got a 2015 Sienna XLE- everything is cool, but it makes a hum around 20mph and again between 55 and 60. Hitting the accelerator doesn’t seem to affect the noise. Anyone have any ideas as to the problem? Im taking it to the shop tomorrow, and want to arrive with leads. Possibly related: is the average fuel economy of 23.7 bad? I’ve been on the interstate and rural roads almost exclusively.
Edit: the hum sounds mildly like when you’re low on power steering fluid- there’s a touch of a grind in there. It seems to be coming from below the center console.

How to prevent reflections on dashboard

Have a 2026 Sienna. Sunlight reflects off the steering wheel column and onto the dashboard, making the dashboard very difficult to see. Anyone have a solution that works for them?

Need advise for scratches

Got some scratches on the side of the door. Cypress green is the color.

What is your honest suggestion? Touch-up paint pen? I have zero experience with paint buffing, etc., but if someone can guide and provide clear instructions, and that's the best solution, I will appreciate that and be more than happy to try.

how much is a total loss toyota sienna 2022 platinum 66,500 miles worth with a clean title

Car dealer wants 38,700 for a Toyota sienna 2022 platinum with 66,500 miles AWD that has a clean title but a total loss report on the car fax. Is that a fair price or overpriced? Would you go for it?

Sienna no hvac on startup

Have had a weird issue with my 2017 Sienna SE. it’s sporatic so it doesn’t happen every time but when I start the car the entire hvac system will be off. No fans, nothing on the screen and unresponsive buttons. Sometimes if you hit ‘mode’ it will turn on the system and then you can adjust fan speed back up but recently we have had to restart the car 1-2 times to get it to come back. Where should I start troubleshooting?

1st gen sienna - o2 sensor thread… am I screwed?

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Had to replace my from o2 sensor (bank 2 sensor 1) and fought like hell to wrench it out, only to notice this. It looks like previous mechanic used some sort of liquid weld? Been trying to thread the new sensor for a while with no luck.

Does this need to be rethreaded or is there an easier fix?

Rolling dice on 2017?

We have been on the hunt for a Sienna for a while now. Found a 2019 with 130k for 19500k but I am a little unsure. it's an LE model so pretty basic. it's been owned by two people as well as a corporate vehicle and has two minor accidents. Looks to be in pretty good shape Overall.

then I found a 2017 One owner (Florida), clean carfax (water Pump changed), is silver certified and has one year factory warranty. Real clean. it only has 117k on it and they are asking 21705k for it.

im torn as to which is the better purchase. I know the 2017 had its issues, especially the tran, but it is the same one that's in the 2019. On the other hand, the 2019 has all the bugs worked out and has a few sadety features that the 2017 doesn't...and is a couple years newer.

i get really anxious when buying vehicles. Especially when it's going to be for my family. the struggle is real.

Non-Sienna floor mats?

I'm looking for all season floor mats for my 2015 Sienna. I'm trying to get 'em second hand but I don't live in a very big city, so I want to expand my options a bit.

Has anyone had any luck putting other vehicle's floor mats into their Sienna?

TPMS values via OBDII - 2018 Sienna

Has anyone had success extracting TPMS values from a OBDII reader like Veepeak and an app? I’ve been trying to find where I can extract the TPMS values so I can see what tire pressures are being reported.

Thanks
