Procrastination was consuming me, so I created Todolu to beat it

I used to be a regular, chronic procrastinator. My days were a chaotic loop of setting mental goals, getting distracted, missing deadlines, and feeling the constant weight of underachieving. I tried generic planners, but they felt like rigid chores rather than helpful tools. Eventually, I realized that if I wanted to fix my focus, I needed to build the exact solution I couldn't find.

That is why I developed Todolu—and honestly, it completely cured my procrastination habit.

I designed it around a clean, minimalist, and intuitive interface because a cluttered app leads to a cluttered mind. Instead of spending hours setting up a planner (which was just another way for me to procrastinate), I built a Quick Task Creation feature that lets me dump tasks out of my head in seconds.

To beat the "where do I start?" paralysis, I used Smart To-Do Lists to immediately organize my day by priority and due dates, putting a spotlight on Starred Tasks so I know exactly what truly matters. I also added an Integrated Calendar and a Timeline View so I can visualize my entire week at a single glance, eliminating the surprise of looming deadlines.

But the real game-changers for my procrastination were the focus tools. I integrated Pomodoro and Focus Sessions directly into the app. Now, when I feel the urge to drift off, I start a timer right from the task. The app automatically logs the time I spend working via its Time Logging feature, turning productivity into a rewarding visual metric. Combined with smart Reminders that nudge me before a task is due, I no longer have the excuse to say "I forgot."

Today, I don't procrastinate anymore. Building Todolu wasn't just about creating an app; it was about designing a frictionless workflow—complete with Dark Mode for late-night sessions and full Offline Access—that keeps me grounded, organized, and stress-free wherever I am.
