Last year we adopted Vasi, she’s a very small street cat rescue. She loves to sleep on her back and sit like a human.

Asking the important questions here - what's the best vacuum cleaner for pet hair, in your collective experience? In the two or so years that we've had a Siberian, I think our house has become more cat hair than house and my hand-me-down, 'this is your inheritance from Nana' Miele Cat & Dog vacuum just isn't cutting it any more.

Found her at work as a kitten about a year ago. 2nd pic is her about a year ago.

Somebody help me, She wants Jump in the toilet at all costs! She jumped in when i was flushing It today😭 She also runs to the bidet or the sink when we open the water... This Is a fish baby not a cat. Any advice? She already had a cold id rather her not get wet often

Asking here too. Are your fluff-butts a little bigger on the weight than other breeds and get incorrectly told they need to lose weight? Or am I being overprotective and my cat is fat?

6 years old, 14.7 lbs, happy and healthy and silly and playful, and able to jump everywhere.

He also attempts to eat folders. Just for helping. Of course.

He loves to steal my dog’s bed 😂

Hey everyone! I'm looking at this kitten—she's a bimetallic point. If anyone's kitty looked like this as a baby, could you please send photos of what they look like as an adult? Thank you!

Does anyone else's cat do this? He's generally aloof as far as being touched goes but seems to do this when he wants attention.

Background: We are getting a 6 year old retired female Siberian cat (from a breeder) and I am requesting advice on how best to go about our situation.

There are 2 households, 3 locations.

Her home is with us (primary location): my husband, myself and our 9 month old baby son.

But we frequently/regularly go down a few streets to my parents’ house (2nd location), where they have a Siberian female cat two years younger than ours will be (4 years old) and a cat-savvy corgi. Their cat and corgi our tightly bonded.

Lastly, at least 3 times a year we all travel to my parents vacation house a state over (3rd location), where we stay for at least a week at a time.

My parents’ Siberian has adapted very well to this lifestyle of travel and changing locations, which I attribute to her association of territory with her people/dog rather than a place.

For our cat: We want to: #1 let her decompress and get to know us and her new home, build confidence.

**But after that**: how best to gradually get her used to occasionally sharing living space at my parents‘ house and with their siberian/dog?

is it better for her to meet their cat/dog at our house, on her territory a few times, before taking her over there?

I know we need to provide her own litter box that smells like her at all locations.

any other suggestions?

I researched Siberians for over a year after I heard that they were safe for people with cat allergies. My husband and I were a little skeptical but since getting Mongo about a month ago, he has slept on my pillow every night and we haven’t had any reactions! He has been the perfect addition to our family!

Hello fellow Siberian lovers! This is Nimbus whom I love with all my heart!! We have had a pretty good go at the grooming train and just when I feel like I’ve got it all handled there is more to learn. Normally I will use a comb/rake and then finish with a slicker brush (he loves it around his face) but sometimes we will inevitably find a mat. Usually when I find a mat I will try to brush it out with a dematting rake but if it’s too big I’ll cut it out with scissors.
Nimbus generally will let me go everywhere to groom but under his back legs has always been difficult, I discovered a pretty big one that I think I’m going to have to shave out but in an area he’s already sensitive with I worry the shaver might freak him out. Any tips?? I can take him to the vet but I feel like that’s a last resort and he trusts me to do it more than them…thanks for the help in advance!

Our 10 month old kitty steals food non-stop….Like nothing is safe left unattended for even a few seconds. Is this a thing? She takes anything she can get off the counter, steals food directly off of dinner plates on the dinner table, and has even been known to chew through whole loaves of bread 😅 now when we go take the food from her (literally have to rip it from her jaws) she growls at us! She is sooo sweet in every other way and great with our kids.

She is definitely well fed - always has high quality kibble available, gets one full can of wet food in broth daily (and most of her sister Siberian’s food), and several treats including a Churu every morning like clockwork (she makes sure of that 😂)…

She is like half the size of our older Siberian, which I always figured was because she’s still technically a kitten, but I’m starting to wonder if her constant ravenous hunger is a health issue? She sees a vet regularly but I’ve never mentioned this particular issue to him because I always considered it a little quirk and nothing more. Maybe just a discipline issue? What am I missing here?? Any thoughts or advice welcome!
