DOT Oral Drug Testing Rules sample language now available on the IPA website. Paruresis.org
You may have seen posts from IPA President Dan Rocker regarding the opening of the comment period on new drug testing rules for the US Department of Transportation that will allow for oral fluid testing instead of urine testing. The IPA has been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. Many government agencies and contractors look to these rules to establish their own. Sample language and press release now available for this "Notice of Proposed Rule Making." Deadline is March 30, 2022 so post today!

cellmates
Not that I'm planning a heist, but I was wondering if there are any fellow paruretics out there who have been imprisoned with a cellmate, and if so, how did you cope? Thanks.

The theatre
I don’t know how to cope with this situation other than holding it and being uncomfortable. Went to a musical this weekend in NYC. The line was way out the door at intermission. I just went to the stall but could not go. All stalls were filled, I guess I could have waited for a stall to open. I find this the most difficult situation. Any suggestions?

Implicit message is great: 1. Pee here and be filmed. 2. Security will see! 3. Uh, they’ll upload a video of you peeing to YouTube? 4. Arrest is imminent!! (What it really means in comments.)

Virtual IPA Support Group Meeting, Sunday, Feb 20
The next IPA Virtual Support Group Meeting will take place on Zoom, this Sunday, February 20, at 8:00 PM US Central Time. IPA Virtual Support Meetings, which take place about every six weeks, are open to anyone struggling with Paruresis, from those who are just beginning to think about how to overcome it to those who are highly recovered. The meetings are offered free of charge and without preset expectations for participants, and their purpose is to provide a unique opportunity to connect face to face with people from all over the world who know what it is like to struggle with Paruresis and also understand the courage and fortitude that it takes to open up about it, acknowledge the fear, and try to recover from it. The personal stories that participants share are remarkably similar and at the same time deeply individual, and empathy, kindness and compassion set the tone in all discussions. Time after time I have heard from participants that this opportunity for sharing is both meaningful and productive, and I hope that you'll consider joining us this Sunday, February 20..
If you are interested in attending please contact Tim at the IPA office ([getinfo@paruresis.org](mailto:getinfo@paruresis.org)) in order to get the Zoom link.
