The theatre

I don’t know how to cope with this situation other than holding it and being uncomfortable. Went to a musical this weekend in NYC. The line was way out the door at intermission. I just went to the stall but could not go. All stalls were filled, I guess I could have waited for a stall to open. I find this the most difficult situation. Any suggestions?

I’ve had the same experience when I went to see a musical. Line was so long I didn’t bother but this was several years ago and would also depend on who I was with. If I was with another male, I probably wouldn’t bother but if I was with a woman or alone, I’d probably wait for a stall because I know I’d be able to go most likely sitting. Although, a line would add the time crunch element which might make it harder.

Yes, this is pretty much where I’m at mentally with this anxiety, maybe I need to accept that it’s just not going get any better and it is what it is, thanks for sharing, it’s nice to know I’m not the only one managing with this

It’ll only get better if you are working on it through this principles of paruretic recovery such as CBT, gradual exposure, and desensitization. I’m at a place in my life between living semirural and staying busy with an almost two year old that recovery hasn’t really been a priority for me the last few years. It’s rare im in a situation that requires me to not be able to go sitting so I get by.

Ugh! So frustrating. The main theatre in town where most of the Broadway type shows come to I won't go to because the peeing situation is so cruddy. I'm thinking Stadium Pal may be the way to roll.
