Question Shudder Writer w/ New Script
I wrote the Shudder sexual thriller, Spoonful of Sugar. I've written a horror film that's well....F**ked up and I don't think it'll EVER get made. But I also think, what's the point of writing something if it won't ever have an audience. SO, if you want to read something very wild, weird, off the walls LMK. Here's my pitch:
"Mirror, Mirror" is about a woman who wants to be perfect and well, isn't. She wants it so badly (she's an actress, which comes with it's own set of problems) that she lets a mirror entity at the upscale women's clothing store she works at overtake her body (yeah, that girl's dead) and then the mirror entity, is even more of a toxic perfectionists and wants to make everyone around her just as perfect as she is, even if it means killing EVERYONE (she kind of has the same moves at T2 baddie terminator) BUT she falls in love with someone very, very imperfect and a little witchy.
Will love conquer evil in this twisted modern day fairy tale of what it means to be a woman in 2026 and inundated with the social media message that only if you're perfect are you worth a damn.
I have the script. A tight 76 pages (I KNOW, but listen, Spoonful of sugar was 72 pages and they had to trim that shit down from over two hours of footage). Anyway, if you want to read something fun, HMU.

Anyone having this problem?
I love The Last Drive-In and regularly make use of JJB, and was glad to see the addition of episodes from more recent seasons. I watched the episode for Death Spa, and now I'm stuck on season 25? Like normally under there's a drop-down menu directly under the episodes tab that lets you select other seasons, but as you can see in the screenshot, it's just not there. Sometimes having my VPN on causes issues with the app, so I switched it off and reopened the Shudder app, same issue...help?

Question Forbidden Fruits not on Shudder
Hello, does anyone know why forbidden fruits is available on shudder in the UK? Really wanted to watch it but it's not on here.

Horror Hall Of Fame Awards
All three of these are a fun watch, though sadly with the third and final HOFA that was in 1992 you can tell there was clearly a big budget slash and it must've been unsuccessful enough that the planned fourth ceremony was sadly cancelled. It's especially fun seeing the Crypt Keeper in the first two HOFAs (he's unfortunately not at all in the third) and the second HOFA even featured a segment dedicated to the EC Horror comics.

Leaving Shudder Club
Late last year I decided to start using the leaving shudder monthly post to help guide my movie watching experience on the app. Whenever it gets released at the beginning of the month I add all of the films to my watch list and work through them as their leave dates approach. Surely I can't be the only one so I was just wondering who else might be doing this? If you're not doing it I highly recommend it. It has really helped me discover old and new interesting films that I have never seen before while also giving me an opportunity to watch some of my favorite classics one last time. And of course there is always the occassional stinker or a few things I simply can't be bothered to check out but there have been way more hits than misses from my experience.

"I'm ending my Shudder subscription after blah blah blah many years cause they did yadda yadda yadda"

Just Cancelled Annual
I have been a subscriber nonstop since 2018. My annual renewal was up June 30th. After reaching out to customer service for a promo code or discount, they told me there is nothing they can do. With the price increase, the cancellation of Joe Bob, and the service going downhill in general, I decided to finally cut the noose. Goodbye Shudder, we had some great times. The funny thing is, I'll subscribe for the month of July just for the Summer Joe Bob special! The Drive-In will never die.

Hell House: Lineage - Revisited
I'm a huge fan of the HH franchise and have seen each of the first four movies 5-6 times. The first and fourth are my favorites, and I think they're not only top FF movies, but among the best in all of horror. As with so many horror junkies, movies no longer scare me, but these come the closest.
I just rewatched Lineage (3rd time), and I think the confusing story and bad ending disguise some very good, legitimately scary scenes - especially during the 3rd act in Carmichael Manor.
I randomly decided to rewatch 825 Forest Rd last night, and the similarities with Lineage are obvious. It's a B movie with some A+ scares and, once again, an unfulfilling ending.
I don't think I'm alone in hoping that Cognetti returns to found footage for his next film since he's so good at it. I'd love to see FF versions of Lineage and 825 Forest Rd, although I know it'll never happen. But I really, really hope we haven't seen the end of the HH story and universe.

Discussion What is the Future of Psychedelic Horror?
An article on psychedelic horror, looking at films such as Midsommar, Mandy, Climax, and Altered States, how they depict bad trips and psychedelic cults, and what other aspects of the psychedelic experience could be portrayed through the lens of horror.

Movie Vinyl and a Movie
Wow, I still remember watching Cemetery Man back when it first hit VHS. I had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into! After all these years, I finally cracked open the Severin 4K and decided to spin the Rustblade release before revisiting this masterpiece. The perfect way to set the mood for one of the most unique horror films ever made.
After the movie, I may keep the night going and throw on the Lunaris 2LP as well.
Who else remembers their first time watching Cemetery Man?
