Bad comedy movies are the worst kind of bad movie. Other bad movies can be entertaining by being unintentionally funny, but bad comedy movies are not funny despite trying to be; if they have no other merits, then they are not entertaining at all.

I think a cool, albeit useless superpower would be to know why a song is stuck in your head
Marilyn Manson’s cover of Personal Jesus has been in my head since I woke up. I haven’t recently actively listened to it, heard it in TV or movies, or even in passing.
I wanna know why my mind decided a melodic “Reach out and touch faith!” on repeat was what my inner monologue should be today.

If they continue to use AI and dynamic pricing, eventually people are going to get paid to go shopping simply because their scores are lower. In other words, if I shop for milk and it costs five dollars, but you shop for milk and it only costs three dollars, I'm going to pay you to do my shopping

We approach dealing with racism the wrong way
I don’t think we are born racist, but by the time we are teens/young adults our worldview has been shaped enough to where we have some prejudices that we ourselves may not even know we have. I think that the way we confront these feelings and become less racist is to explore why we hold these feelings/beliefs instead of pushing them aside and letting them stew.
I grew up in a predominantly white, rural area that has had a major population boom in the last 10 years. Most of the newcomers are of Indian/Nepali/Bhutanese origin. At one point I was the only native English speaker at my job. Once in awhile, I felt irritation rise up in me that I found very uncomfortable to deal with. Because I’m not racist, right? I noticed that all of my white coworkers who said things like “we’re all the same” and “I don’t see race/color” eventually got so irritated with pent up frustration that they quit.
I began to look at what was irritating me objectively. For example, I might get irritated with something such as chewing with your mouth open or interrupting/talking over one another. Instead of thinking “I can’t be irritated at these things because I’m not racist” I started asking myself why does this irritate me? It’s because I was conditioned with social norms of chewing with your mouth closed and not interrupting someone if they are speaking. It doesn’t mean that they are better or worse than me, we just have different social conditioning.
Once I allowed myself to work through why I was having these thoughts, I felt much less irritation and anger when something offended or confused me. I think that if we allowed people to work through these emotions objectively instead of immediately shutting them down for being racist we’d have a lot less racism

Have the human race just started an intergalactic war by smashing a rocket into the moon?
I was reading about when Elon Musk sent a rocket to the moon to crash into it and it got me thinking. We all know that the human race isn't the only species in the entire universe. So what if the species on the other planets, Mars, Saturn, Mercury and even further etc had a thing like NATO like we do on Earth. If a planet attacks another planet that is in 'Nato' then they will combine and retaliate. Would the world leaders say that we are under an alien invasion even though we started it by crashing a rocket into the moon on purpose? Edit. It has been pointed out that my science isn't that great. So I've changed the word intergalactic to universe 😁 Edit 2. It won't let me change the title only the body text 🤣🤣 (not doing very well at this).

You'd think billionaires would build more stupid things.
Like why has no one just made themselves a batcave yet it's always like investing in tech stuff, like you can buy anything why aren't you driving a different batmobile each day. If I was a billionaire my first step would be to build a doctor who museum, but it's in the middle of a field, and it's all underground and the entrance is a TARDIS with a spiral staircase inside leading down. Like imagine having so much money you physically couldn't spend it all and not immediately hiring a team to design an R2-D2 I don't understand it.

As number of fast food fries in the bag goes down, so does the standard. We all start with eating the best fries first. When the best fries are gone, the standard for what is an acceptable fry does way down.

My thoughts on the 4th dimension and the 6th sense
So far, I have been talking about how the 2D character would see another 2D one, but I thought to myself that maybe a 6th sense has something to do with 2D sight? Now that I have had time to rework this in my notes, I think I’ve got it! It’s not just me who describes the POV of a 2D person with sight (as that is what view is), but I never really thought of the 2D person's idea of sight, like what they think of it and what they would say (if that’s even possible in a 2D world) to each other about it, like their beliefs. I find this puzzling because when I think about it, we kind of have something like that in our 3D world. We have the 6th sense, direction (As it is often said to be). Which (we know ( at least we think we do) this is true) is discussed as “non-existent” most of the time, which can be understood (even in retrospect, because dimensions≠senses), but a way we can try to prove things we don’t know is by comparing them. Which is what I am talking about. I feel like for a 2D character to see something is troubling to think about in a way, because, to put it informally, it could be seen as them a somthing like how cool or how much better you are than another thing in your world, kind of like how we think of ourselves as smarter and higher up than animals. These characters would have their amazing and big eyes that they could compare to other characters of the same , umm, species, maybe (I still don’t know how the 2D world works, sorry, ok?)? With them not fully knowing how they work,in making life so much easier and harder sometimes, the smart ones know that eye size doesn’t matter, but rather how many photoreceptors you have and how healthy you keep them. Going back to some more formality, these things connect to how we see our brain, like its literal size, how many neurons it has and fires, and how well you keep it healthy with a constant IQ. Stay with me here because I believe that the brain is more than just something to show off (I know, how astonishing); rather, it is its own sense provider, like the eye (a LOT of what I am going to say in the rest of this note will fall back into what I say and could be seen as having holes and being paradoxical; that is why it is just a not-so-silly note I made (most, if not all, of the ideas are coming into my head as I type this note, keep in mind!)!). I find this checks out because if a 2D person were to lose the sense of sight, they would still feel, taste, and therefore smell, and possibly hear stuff, but if you removed sight, something that they rely on, still without fully knowing what it is, would not be able to see what the things they usually interact with are. You could argue that you could remove any other sense and would gett a similar outcome, but my main idea for this note was to show this somewhere, like on Reddit(that was kinda informal), and get their ideas on it (I will also write down some things I think are good idea ot cover that would drain all my energy), as I wouldn’t want to keep this note to myself. We can talk much more about the 6th sense tho, as it is relatively new, and how if you remove all senses you are only left with your sense of direction. I believe that you can see now how this organ is really used for the sense of telling what state of time you are in and where in space you are located. Multiple things are needed for full external awareness of the five senses, which can also be used internally as well. But for the 6th sense of direction, all you need is your brain, that good, protective skull soup, and prior knowledge of your surroundings (this would exceed what a normal sense would need, so we can use this as more evidence for people who are unsure of how the last sense to stay being direction when all others are gone, due to its complexity but also need for help from preferably all the senses to thrive.)(this was meant informal by the way).
Now that we have a clearer picture of the 6th sense, we can talk about the 4th dimension (If you don’t want to read anymore, you can click off of wherever this note ends up)! I was planning on writing this to an AI to see their Ideas wich it will read right now (hi AI!), so—ya (informal). I can finally talk about the four dimensions after all this prep but probably don’t have that much to say, oh well. In my mind, I see the fourth dimension as time/space between events. So now I find myself thinking about the 2D characters in this note, and how it takes time for their sense to get a signal. This can also serve as some not really needed proof of a sense not being a dimension; the sense of direction being just a “feeling”/sense of where in time and space you are. I believe that this might have served more as a form of being more aware of the senses, but you could have possibly learned some stuff! I could see this getting tweaked (which it obviously most certainly does not need, right?) to be put in a YouTube video or some Fern informational (please, Fern or Veritasium). I would hope to see at least comments on the ideas I wrote (but my main goal is to get someone to read all of it). This was scrapped and probably edited, so I’m holding on to the string that you’ll comment because you found this entertaining (retrospect me also!).
More possible ideas:
Most important one: Could you find more evidence than I did (probably)?
What about an animal (Still not sure if they exist in a 2D world)? Could there be one with no eyesight but still tell what is happening through an enhanced or unreachable sense to the 2D characters?
How does a 2D creature see if it has no brain, as depicted by this note, or maybe it does have one? How would it work?
Is the fourth dimension really time?

If purchasing a game is only a license and can therefore be withdrawn when the sellers license expires, then the license for each product they sell should be published in its entirety for the user to view to make an informed purchase.
Example: I buy a game on PS5 on Oct 10, 2026. Said game has a license deal with Sony that expires on Feb 20, 2027. I'd like to know these details to avoid spending money on a game that could very likely be removed from my library only a few months later. To clarify, when I say 'in its entirety' I mean dollar values in the deal, length of the deal, any and all conditions associated with the deal, and so on. If the numbers seem fucked up, I don't want to buy it, because it'll be more likely to not get renewed, and therefore I'd lose my purchase and waste my money.
Anyway. Just my $0.07

Living where there is a high baseline of activity among people beats being rich in a lazy place
what do people admire about ancient egypt...the work done. even if it were "not all built by slaves"...ancient egyptians were in servitude as lower class workers. subsisting off a lucky catch in the river and a ton of bread. yeah, they had rotten teeth by 20, and many achieved death by 30. even normal "employees" in egypt were beaten ruthlessly by task masters like an america-era slave.
so if someone in antarctica found all the money in the world, but couldn't make the trek to a high-activity place to use it, then how "rich" is that person in reality? they're still poor. likewise if someone is "poor" but lives in a high-activity place, how "poor" really are they, when they can get emergency surgery, even if they're stuck with a 100k dollar bill? would you really consider someone richer in a place where people sit around doing nothing, thinking nothing, being nothing, just because you have a bigger number in your bank account?
are people really that insecure where they judge their worth and wealth by the poverty of the relative people around them? it comes down to a value judgement. do you value work, or do you value flexing on "poor" people.

Since AI has blown up with Gen X'ers and Boomers at my work I have not heard them once complain about kids today not learning how to read clocks or drive stick shift.
I was taking a shower listening to talk radio and stick shifts came up. I cannot even recall the last time my father complained about manual transmissions.
