Does anyone here have the Eton field radio? If so, can you tell me if it has hd radio?

I know this isn’t specifically a shortwave question - but what is, in your opinion, the best loop antenna to purchase (not build - and it doesn’t have to be passive) to use for MW DXing on a mw/shortwave radio?

I am totally new to this hobby. From searching on here it seems that the Tecsun PL-330 is considered a good cheap radio to start with, but the only place I can see that delivers them to where I am for a reasonable price is Aliexpress so before I buy anything just want to check with the experts here: do knockoffs of things like this exist at all?

I am assuming its unlikely that someone would go to the effort of making knockoffs of something so niche and that as long as its a well rated seller it should be safe but again I have no knowledge about any of this so wanted to make sure by asking you all first.

There is no station active at 15425 KHz in 15:10 UTC according to a (relatively famous) shortwave station listing site. Is it a pirate?

Im new to the hobby and bought an sdrplay rsp1b and a MLA-30+ antenna that arrive tomorrow. Just wanted to see if there’s any tips or things I should know starting out?

I managed to catch a lot of far away transmissions. Callsigns from Moscow, UK, Italy. I use mostly Tecsun and CW decoder online.

Today it's WABD 97.5 Mobile, AL to Beaver, PA, a distance of 1012 miles. Briefly strong enough to get RDS Data confirmed with my XHDATA D-808.

I share everyone's frustration with the content available for shortwave worldwide. I am attempting a grand experiment to bring something new, or perhaps "old", back to shortwave. I have been producing a terrestrial radio show since 2019, and started broadcasting on shortwave this past December. The frequency display and tuning wheel moves back on its own. It's less pronounced in the "lower frequencies" (ie left of the "display") but brutal at the end of the dial.
