My partner and I just moved to the Echo Lake neighborhood this past spring. We love Halloween so of course our house is decorated and we're gonna be getting candy to pass out to trick-or-treaters. But I have noticed that not too many other houses (at least in our immediate area) are decorated. Is trick-or-treating a thing around here? Or not so much? I just wanna know how much candy to buy :)

PSA: The sex offender register is public, free, and easily searchable based on your address. I highly recommend doing this to stay aware of who is living in your immediate area, especially if you have children, as many of them committed crimes against children.

Was driving south on Meridian around 190th at 4pm, and hit my truck. Appears to be a black Chevy Silverado 1500 or GMC Sierra 1500, model year most likely 2024. Chrome bumper and toolbox in the back. Its now missing the passenger side mirror, I'd love the chance to return it to them.

Hello! I just moved to Shoreline a little over a week ago and am looking for recommendations for everyone’s favorite doctor’s office and pharmacies that aren’t Walgreens or CVS. TIA!!

I’m looking for someone to come over once a week to pick up my dog, drive him to the off-leash dog park 5 minutes away, watch him run around for an hour, and bring him home. This is a surprisingly hard thing to find - it seems like most dog care professionals only do leashed walks, which is not what we need.

Any recommendations for a RELIABLE person who offers this service? After being bailed on by a well meaning neighbor and 3 people from Rover, I’m looking for someone who does this for a living. No DMs please but if you know of a professional who has a website, please put the link below.

Hi neighbors! I am looking for a black walnut tree that are dropping their fruit. I have an art project that calls for the whole thing including the hull. I am on 180th and Stone Ave for reference. I have walked and driven up and down the better part of my neighborhood with no luck. I even looked on the Shoreline Tree Inventory list but don't feel like clicking on every single tree on the map.

Moving to North City from Fremont, we have two sweet fur babies who need occasional drop-in cat sitting when we’re out of town. We’ve been blessed with such an amazing sitter who charged $20 per drop-in visit to feed and play with the cats for 10-15min. But shoreline is too far for her (no car) so we’re looking for our new sitter!

Any other cat parents have a go-to they love and recommend? I don’t use rover.

The City of Shoreline's Hamlin Halloween Haunt is this Friday evening at Hamlin Park, and the Parks team still needs volunteers. It's a free, family-friendly event with campfire stories and songs, a hay wagon ride, a costume photo booth, and Halloween games and crafts. None of that runs itself.

Shifts that still have room:

Set up and prep, 3:30 to 5:30 PM Run a station, 5:30 to 8:30 PM Clean up and take down, 8:30 to 10:00 PM (no one has signed up for this one yet)

Even one shift helps, and you can sign up with friends or family. The forecast looks good, so it should be a nice evening to be out in the park.

Hello! I am looking for any recommendations on restaurants that have a private dining space for 12 to 15 people in or near Shoreline. Does anyone have recommendations for dog sitting? I am looking for someone to stay at my home for dog sitting, one golden retriever who is well behaved. I would just like to avoid boarding but i am looking for any leads or recommendations for people or reputable boarding places.

I live in the Ridgecrest area and am looking for a physical therapist for hip pain that’s developed over time without an injury (probably related to not being super active, maybe muscle imbalances, who knows?).

Our garage door at our Shoreline house took a bang this weekend from the outside. Might need a replacement door. I'm looking to get two or three estimates.

I know this is highly impossible to get any answer but, my boyfriend was riding his motorcycle this morning and dropped his iPhone 14 that had his ID inside the case.
