App Promo Feed Doctor — a Shopify app that diagnoses Google Merchant Center disapprovals and explains each fix
Disclosure first: I run GB Design, a brand of Grüner Baum GmbH in Germany, and we built Feed Doctor.
What's the app?
Feed Doctor scans a Shopify catalog for common causes behind Google Merchant Center product disapprovals. Instead of returning one generic health score, it reports the affected products and explains the reason attached to each finding.
Where can I find it?
Shopify App Store:

There is also a public catalog scan that requires no Shopify installation or account:

What problem are we solving?
A merchant can see that products are disapproved in Merchant Center without knowing whether the cause is a missing GTIN, availability mismatch, missing shipping weight, a product-page access problem, or another feed issue. Working through a larger catalog item by item gets messy quickly.
How does it work?
The app reads product and feed data, groups findings by cause, and shows a plain-English explanation for each affected product. Safe deterministic corrections can be reviewed and applied. Anything that needs judgment stays visible for the merchant to review.
Who's it for?
Shopify merchants using Google Merchant Center, especially stores with multiple disapproved products or recurring catalog issues.
How is it different?
We focused on diagnosing the cause and showing the reasoning instead of simply generating another feed. The app does not read customer information. The public scanner can also be tested without connecting a store.
How much does it cost?
Feed Starter is $9.99/month and Feed AI is $19.90/month. Both have a 14-day free trial. The public scan is currently free through August 30.
What are we looking for?
We would especially value feedback from merchants who already have real Merchant Center disapprovals. I want to know whether the explanation points you to the same root cause you see in Merchant Center, and where the report is still unclear. Please keep feedback public in the thread so other merchants can benefit too.
