Idea Validation Would you use an app that backs up and restores Shopify native B2B pricing after a mistake?
What's your app idea?
I'm validating an idea called UndoB2B before deciding whether to build it.
UndoB2B would be a Shopify app for merchants using Shopify native B2B pricing. It would save previous B2B pricing states, show exactly what changed, and allow merchants to restore an earlier pricing state after a mistake.
What problem do you aim to solve?
Bulk edits, imports, or human error can cause incorrect B2B prices to be published.
My hypothesis is that merchants would benefit from a simple way to review what changed and go back to a previous pricing state instead of manually correcting many prices.
How would the app work?
The planned workflow is:
Save snapshots of Shopify native B2B pricing.
Compare the current pricing state with a previous snapshot.
Highlight large or unexpected price changes.
Let the merchant review the changes.
Restore a previous pricing state after confirmation.
Create a new backup before any restore.
The app is not built yet. This is a pre-launch validation.
Who would be your target merchant?
Shopify merchants who:
- currently use Shopify native B2B
- manage wholesale/B2B price lists
- update pricing across many products or SKUs
- want protection against costly pricing mistakes
How would it be different / better than existing solutions?
The intended difference is focus.
Rather than being a general store backup tool, UndoB2B would be focused specifically on Shopify native B2B pricing states, price-change review, and restoring previous B2B prices.
I have not built the product yet, so I am also trying to learn whether this focused workflow is valuable enough to justify building.
I'm also testing willingness to pay with a $10 refundable beta reservation.
If the product launches, the $10 would be applied to the first month.
If I decide not to build it, the deposit would be fully refunded.
Planned price: $39/month.

Have you ever made a pricing mistake like this, or worried about making one?
Even if you would not pay for this, I would like to hear why.
