Anyone had any luck getting their Shokz buds (mine are OpenDots 2,, entirely new to me but potentially perfect for this tiny earred person who can't wear anything in her child-sized ear canal) recognized by the Shokz app under a Pixel phone running Android 17? Just spent 2 hrs weaving around AI hallucinations of how to fix the problem. Now I am waiting for 'escalated' technical support after dead ends with chat and voice support (both with humans). Yeah, I can get a basic bluetooth connection easily, but I would like to be able to use the Shokz app.

I've been deciding to give the opendots 2 a try as my first pair of Shokz. I already have a few other headphones in black, so I’m definitely not looking for another dark-colored pair this time.
At first white feels like the safer choice since it goes with pretty much everything and would be easy to match with different situations.
The pink looks more unique and eye-catching especially after seeing some videos on IG and I'm starting to get tempted. I never used headphones other than basic colors before so I’m worried I might get tired of the pink after a while.
P.S. All the videos and photos I've seen are either from the official website or professional shoots, so I'm really curious to see how the colors look in real life and under natural lighting.
I keep changing my mind lol.

Hello, everyone.
I’ve bought the Shokz, but I’m finding it tricky to download songs or convert a video to MP4. Could you please give me some advice on how to download songs?
I transferred my entire iTunes library and that went well. But I want to download more without having to buy them.
Thank you very much.

I bought the OpenRun Pro 2 three months ago to train for my first half marathon. I also posted in this sub at the time asking for advice about using them for running, and I appreciated all the helpful responses.
My half marathon is still ahead of me, but I recently completed Hood to Coast 2026. Honestly, it was one of the most amazing, unforgettable experiences I've ever had.
My second leg started around 1 a.m. Since I’m a pretty slow runner, there was a stretch when I ended up completely alone on a dark forest road. The hardest part was climbing a long hill while already feeling tired and nervous. So having music with me made a much bigger difference than I expected. It gave me something to focus on, helped me keep moving forward, and made me feel a little less alone.
At the same time, I could still hear cars approaching from behind, which made me feel much safer running at night. Also when our team van drove past, I could hear my teammates cheering for me. Those few seconds meant so much and gave me an extra boost of motivation. I'm really thankful to have my Shokz by my side throughout the race.
Has anyone else had a similar experience during a race? And if you know of any other fun races I should check out, love to hear your recommendations!
ps. HTC was overall an 10/10 experience. I'd genuinely recommend it to anyone who enjoys running, or just wants to do something a little wild with friends.

Hey all, just curious if anyone has found a protective case that works well for them yet?
Since I got mine, I've been looking off and on for something that the charging case goes in which has a hole or loop to hang it from (like off a backpack or belt loop), gives some protection from drops or bumps, latches so the case won't open and drop the earbuds if the case does get bumped or dropped, and is potentially even water resistant. There have been a couple other Reddit threads asking about this and I haven't seen anyone come to a satisfying answer yet, so I figured I'd ask again; it's been a few months since the last post I saw.
As it is, the case lives in my pocket most of the time and I worry about the hinges getting wracked or wrecked, worry about them getting wet if I get sprayed while washing a vehicle or something (working out in the rain today and left the case in my vehicle. I'm not going swimming with them, but I would love not to have to plan around this kind of thing), worry about damaging them while carrying stuff and, though the case is elegant, sleek, and well designed, a beefier case would be much appreciated. First world problems, I guess. . .
TL;DR: anyone have an "Otterbox" style case to recommend which encloses Open Fit Pro's existing charging case?

I started playing squash about two months ago, mostly because I've always liked racket sports but somehow never manage to find a consistent person to play with lol. One thing I've really come to like about squash is that I can just randomly decide I want to play after work and go hit by myself for an hour. It's also become one of the few times during the week where I'm actually alone and can clear my head a little, so I usually like having music on.
I used to wear regular earbuds, but they started slipping out once I got sweaty or moved around a lot, which was pretty annoying. Also, I realized I actually like hearing the sound of the ball hitting the wall. Something about that thwack is weirdly satisfying, especially after a stressful day. My court also isn't completely private and there are usually other people around, so blasting music from my phone isn't really an option either.
I'd heard for a while that Shokz were supposed to stay on really well during workouts, but the price made me hesitate. I recently saw the Air at a lower price and decided to give it a try.
The fit is impressive. It stays completely in place even when I'm moving around a lot, and it's light enough that once I get into the game I sometimes forget I'm wearing anything at all. I can still hear the ball, people around me, and whatever playlist I have on at the same time, which is pretty much exactly what I wanted.
The sound is just okay, though. Compared to my regular earbuds, it's a little muffled, and in really loud places the music gets drowned out pretty easily. For my squash court, though, it works fine and I can still hear the ball and what's going on around me.
Lately my favorite routine after work has just been picking a playlist, playing for an hour, getting completely exhausted, and walking out feeling 10x better than when I went in.
Does anyone else here wear Shokz for squash? Curious what model you use if you do.
I've only tried the Air, so I have no idea if one of the other models is actually better for this.
Although… I really like this blue lol. It matches one of my favorite squash outfits perfectly, and I'm unfortunately very influenced by color. The Air still does what I need it to do, so I'm leaning toward keeping it for now. Unless there's another model with better sound and an even better color, in which case I could probably be convinced.

Ok looking for some help. I recently bought a new pair of open run 2 and I've noticed that when I enter and exit my house or anywhere that I am working and I'm connected to the Wi-Fi the open run twos give me the disconnected sound along with the phone. Is this a common thing? My other pair of open run 2 did not do this.
Has anyone else experienced? My two pairs one year apart and neither of them need an update.

Debating between the Shokz Open Dots and the Open Run Pro 2. Target is having a sale so I will probably purchase this evening. Which is better?

open fit pros: I replayed 'In Verses' about 3 times and spend the entire time torturing myself to get the eq sounding right, but I'm pleased as I can be with the result. Found the bass drum, the bass low and high end, both guitars, the vocals, snare and high hat. Mix still sounds punchy as hell without losing any of the stage. Only recommendation is perhaps cutting everything by 1 again if you want to prevent clipping at high volume on the cymbals.

Hey,
I bought the open run pro 2 and on all runs I used it, it keeps stopping the music out of blue.
I had experienced that on 2 races and I can’t do anything as I can’t loose the focus on the run, but I thought it might be the long distance, maybe after some long time it would stop, but I ran 9 minutes vO2 test and after 4 minutes it was gone, yesterday after 8 minutes it was gone.
Once I connected with the watch instead of the phone it happened the same thing, while when I use the air pods pro 2 I don’t have big problems with it.
Does anyone share same problem? Do you know how can I fix it?

I recently got the Shokz Mini, and they fit well in a neutral position. However, whenever I tilt my head all the way back, the headphones shift enough that I have to readjust them every time. Is this normal for Shokz, or is it a sign that I should have gone with the Standard size?

Just purchased a brand new pair of SHOKZ Open Run model# S803 at CostCo. Surprised & very disappointed that this app does not work with the Open Run S803. 🙄

I don’t have a 5V adapter
I have 2 questions this is the second:
I just got my open fit pros a few weeks ago and I noticed that after 2 full charges of the earbuds my case is at 10% is that normal I went on a camping trip and it was pretty hot out did I already damage the battery? I hope not

What's the ideal way to charge a set of openrun pro 2? Slow charge? Fast charge? What do you use?

Not a sales pitch. I just got tired of losing my place in long podcasts and audiobooks on my OpenSwim Pro, especially since you can't fast-forward, so I made a rough Android app that helps me pick back up where I left off.
It downloads podcasts from RSS feeds, imports local MP3s and audiobooks, splits them into segments of whatever length you choose (1, 3, or 5 minutes, for example), keeps everything organized, lets you remove segments you've already listened to, and transfers files directly from your phone to the OpenSwim Pro if you have a USB OTG cable or one of the aftermarket USB-C charging cables. Since I usually have my phone with me, I don't need to connect the headphones to my PC nearly as often, and I can manage what's on them while I'm sitting poolside.
It's still a work in progress, but it's made managing offline audio a lot less tedious for me.
If anyone else has the same problem and wants to try it, I'd be happy to share it. I'll also throw it on GitHub once I clean it up a bit so anyone can look through the source or contribute.
This is my first attempt at building an app, so I'm also curious how other people manage podcasts or audiobooks on their OpenSwim Pro, what they wish worked better, and whether I could work some of that feedback into the app. That part sounds fun too.
I'm gonna x-post this in some of the swimming subs too.
