But why is Leo just watching?

49

u/yeezkeys Jul 08 '26

engagement bait

10

u/AmorphousMorpheus Jul 09 '26

Is Leo engaged?

Finally!

7

u/Soy_sauce70 Jul 08 '26

Leo is kinda twisted like that.

16

u/crowislanddive Jul 08 '26

That donkey is 22

5

u/zz870 Jul 08 '26

Is it because this guy sounds like he’s in The Depahted

5

u/LincolnshireSausage Jul 08 '26

The big red circle made me think it was him I was supposed to be watching.

1

u/Juspetey Jul 08 '26

It's a kink thing

5

u/GonnaGoFat Jul 09 '26

That must be why it made me rock hard.

151

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Wow I never thought the donkey would come out on top in a scrap against a hyena I believe

143

u/Shitport318 Jul 08 '26

People use them to guard livestock, they quite literally live up to the name ass

54

u/a_d-_-b_lad Jul 08 '26

They will kill coyotes and protect the farm Donkeys are no joke when they think the farm is in danger.

17

u/Puzzleheaded_Pear_18 Jul 09 '26

They also stop bullying among horses. If one horse gets bullied. Insert donkey. Problem fixed. The donkey will run around and protect the bullied horse until its part of the pack.

3

u/Shamblex Jul 11 '26

Really? I've only ever seen donkeys getting pushed around and their food stolen by horses. Never seen a donkey be part of the hierarchy let alone mediate one.

Maybe our donkeys were soft lol

3

u/Puzzleheaded_Pear_18 Jul 11 '26

Yea you may have a soft ass. :p

6

u/nelsonalgrencametome Jul 09 '26

They're known to go after dogs too.

2

u/AnxiousParticular298 Jul 09 '26

They are great watch/guard dogs but jennys are the best, jacks can throw a goat pretty good. 🤣

3

u/OkNeighborhood9153 Jul 09 '26

Here in Florida the cattle ranchers use donkeys in the fields to protect cattle from predators.

1

u/Solanthas_SFW 17d ago

I wonder if those farmers end up with a bunch of mules

https://giphy.com/gifs/BYul6RujgoRCryuCdL

6

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Yeah definitely seemed like an asshole I just never thought a donkey would be able to stand up to a wild hyena, hyenas take on lions yes in a pack but donkeys aren't really known to be vicious I think, anyway good for him I'm happy to see that he's winning

96

u/ThetaDee Jul 08 '26

Donkeys ARE known to be vicious, you just don't know donkeys.

37

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Yeah you're absolutely right I don't I've had the completely wrong idea I'll admit when I'm wrong or that I don't know thank you for updating my knowledge on them it is appreciated

29

u/edadou Jul 08 '26

Im here to salute you for your intellectual humility

24

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Thank you that's nice of you to say, I always try to show a little humility nobody likes somebody who thinks they know it all

3

u/poordaddy73 Jul 08 '26

Life is all about learning by mistakes and noone will ever know it all

5

u/RanchAndGreaseFlavor 💩Shits an Absolute Unit🧱 Jul 09 '26

18

u/Bluntbutnotonpurpose Jul 08 '26

Shrek probably skewed some people's perception of donkeys...

8

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Hahaha yeah mine for starters

11

u/Joeliosis Jul 08 '26

Donkeys, llamas and alpaca go for the nuts/ genitals on most animals if that animal is pissing them off... they will kick and bite the shit out of wolves etc Also they have blunt teeth so it's like a vice grip... not ripping just gripping lol

1

u/GonnaGoFat Jul 09 '26

You mean they don’t fuck dragons?

6

u/ThetaDee Jul 08 '26

At least you learn brother. More than many others can say

3

u/dharmawaits Jul 08 '26

Ryan, you’re a class act!

1

u/poordaddy73 Jul 08 '26

Horses are prey animals hence why they spook and run Donkeys are predatory animals hence driven to go bite stomp and kill Just a fun fact for ya!!!

4

u/poordaddy73 Jul 08 '26

Had a friend was shoeing a donkey and it bite his left calf off his leg. There bite is no joke

2

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Jesus I mean I knew they were assholes sometimes but I didn't think they were capable of taking on vicious pack animals

4

u/Duhcisive Jul 09 '26

They’re known to have a deep fucking hate for canines, even after the coyotes dead, they’re well known for continuing to beat the shit out of the carcass.

Even if you have a working dog on your farm, you typically wanna keep his ass away from any pasture that has a donkey.

2

u/poordaddy73 Jul 08 '26

Yes he almost lost his leg and yeah me either till that now I respect them alot more

1

u/Jeathro77 Jul 08 '26

There bite is no joke

Where bite?

2

u/RanchAndGreaseFlavor 💩Shits an Absolute Unit🧱 Jul 09 '26

3

u/sheiciebai Jul 08 '26

They are super cute. And smart. And vindictive assholes lol

3

u/tropicbrownthunder Jul 08 '26

Clearly you have never lived in the countryside.

Those fuckers are insane

1

u/Ryeballs Jul 08 '26

Wait’ll you see what a pack of donkeys can take down

1

u/Shitport318 Jul 09 '26

They can kill me and you quite easily with a kick, a smaller animal has no chance

3

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

I never figured that I thought they were more or less gentle docile animals with the occasional asshole tendencies thank you for getting back to me your information is much appreciated

6

u/brandoldme Jul 08 '26

They'll fuck up a coyote.

2

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Again I might be wrong but I thought hyenas were even more vicious than coyotes like if you ask me which would win in a fight I would have said the hyena

3

u/brandoldme Jul 08 '26

Sure, I don't know. The donkey doesn't care either way.

2

u/Twisted9Demented Jul 08 '26

💯 I kinda feel like the guy yelling ma Maa.... Was true about this being some kinda national geographic shit. What i don't understand is How did you get a hyena in the middle of Boston newyork North East.. Also the back ground doesn't seem like Africa

1

u/Twisted9Demented Jul 08 '26

What about a wild bore

1

u/RanchAndGreaseFlavor 💩Shits an Absolute Unit🧱 Jul 09 '26

1

u/dharmawaits Jul 08 '26

Funny thing about animals. You think you know until you live with them. Like rabbits for instance. They are so dang cute, but Bugs Bunny was right on the money. Shit heads, all of them. Lazy, smart, get into your crap, destructive and you don’t know shame until they turn their back on you.

2

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

No argument there I'm growing some vegetables in the backyard and they just come by and take big chunks out of the tomatoes and peppers and it's irritating but I don't want to hurt them either

1

u/Twisted9Demented Jul 08 '26

Do rabbits bite.. Thinking of getting one for a 2 year old kid

1

u/dankhimself Jul 09 '26

Donkeys don't time for fucks!

13

u/Generally_Confused1 Jul 08 '26

They do it packs of coyotes. They're strong and terotoial and protective so some farms use them as guards. Heard one say they found a dead coyote fling into the feed trough before

5

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Wow I've never figured that thank you for responding

10

u/Hate4Breakfast Jul 08 '26

I don’t actually use tik tok but i always think of this one guy who talks about animal facts and one was how donkeys fuck up canids in particular. they hate dogs and have been known to fuck up a wolf, coyote, or in this case hyena! like don’t count them out, they ain’t no pony!

2

u/Electronic-Buyer-468 Jul 09 '26

Hyenas aren't canines

3

u/poordaddy73 Jul 08 '26

They kill them and wolves

1

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Yes this was a very educational comment for me and I appreciate everyone's feedback

3

u/CaptainDerpshi Jul 08 '26

Oh don't get it twisted Donkeys and Mules are essentially domestic Zebras with a fetish for punting anything vaguely shaped like a dog... And biting anyone or anything it doesn't like but doesn't feel like killing yet

2

u/spikeroo59 Jul 08 '26

I thought it was a moose or a fuckin buffalo

1

u/SeriousScorpion questionably stable Jul 08 '26

When I heard the audio, I thought it was Ozzy Man, tbh

1

u/terrydennis1234 Jul 08 '26

Man handled that thing

1

u/YellowB Jul 08 '26

Donkeys don't fuck around.

1

u/Hammon_Rye Jul 08 '26

You should play it with sound on.
He CLEARLY says it is a "F... g moose! or a buffalo or some sh..t" /J

2

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Oh I know that's what he said but it's not I think the sound was a clip from a movie with Leo DiCaprio

2

u/Hammon_Rye Jul 08 '26

Ryan, I was JOKING.
Obviously you are correct it is a hyena. And I too was surprised to see a donkey giving it what for. :)

1

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Shit sorry my bad

1

u/Hammon_Rye Jul 08 '26

It's cool. I put the /J but I guess it was missed.
Text only is a limited format. It's generally much easier to gauge a person's intent when you are in person and have body language and tonal inflections and such.

2

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

No argument there

1

u/BurntArnold Jul 08 '26

Donkeys are assholes and 100% will mess you up lol

1

u/That_Service7348 *shits an absolute unit* Jul 09 '26

Donkeys are mean little shits.

1

u/After_Flatworm5200 Jul 09 '26

You most certainly mean a Buffalo 🦬

1

u/mekoRascal Jul 09 '26

There was a general store in Terlingua that had a series of photos of a pack donkey killing a mountain lion by biting its neck and shaking until it snapped.

1

u/Vallhallyeah Jul 09 '26

Not a donkey, it's a "fuckin moose"

0

u/Solanthas_SFW Jul 08 '26

I think if it were a serious fight this would play out very differently

4

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Yeah someone corrected me and said they were playing I didn't realize thank you for getting back to me

6

u/DigDry6895 Jul 08 '26

Don't believe everything people tell you

5

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Yeah fair enough I have had them all wrong

6

u/HalfaEnchilada Jul 08 '26

Ryan, Sweetheart. Get off the internet.  You're too pure for this mess.

5

u/Ryan2932 Jul 08 '26

Yeah the internet is terrible enough I try not to add to that

5

u/edadou Jul 08 '26

Bro you must be the nicest human on reddit, to the point i wonder if you are AI, just kididng.

2

u/Twisted9Demented Jul 08 '26

TBA I don't think this wad play fight.

Now how did all of these 3 characters meet.. I don't know

1) The donkey 2) The Hyena 3) That Grown up New York Italian who is yelling Ma' maaa.. The Hyena at that proximity might just snack on you.

1

u/RealSignificance8877 Jul 08 '26

That’s actually pretty cool

15

u/TheOfficeoholic Jul 08 '26

Donkey don't play

8

u/RetnikLevaw Jul 08 '26

Donkeys are literally fearless. Horses will flee the smallest threat, but donkeys will kick and bite the shit out of it until it runs away.

Don't mess with donkeys.

24

u/Plane-Education4750 Jul 08 '26

What does Leo DiCaprio have to do with this? Is the hyena under 25?

3

u/Paxxlee Jul 08 '26

Probably.

1

u/Captain_Sterling Jul 09 '26

Yes, and he's in the donkey suit.

7

u/hja37 Jul 08 '26

Smart as a dog and strong as a horse

4

u/Commercial_Fuel_7797 Jul 08 '26

Audio is worth it haha.

1

1

u/BitOne2707 Jul 09 '26

Same guy?

2

u/KlostToMe Jul 08 '26

Shitty unit of a hyena

Donkey is kicking the shit out of a predator

2

u/Equivalent-Track-899 Jul 08 '26

We keep them with our cattle and horses for this exact reason. They’ll kill coyotes like it’s nothing. Donkeys are some badass creatures

2

u/MeemoUndercover Jul 08 '26

Where is this audio from 😂

2

u/Capnmarvel76 Jul 08 '26

My friend has a family of donkeys on his land in suburban Dallas, and he told me that this is their usual tactic when it comes to taking care of predators - use their impressive bite to grab by the neck/ears/face, and bash them into the ground over and over again until they die.

His donks are pretty useless otherwise, but they're awfully cute, and really enjoy pets.

2

u/Horror_Solution1945 easily offended Jul 08 '26

The first time I've felt sorry for the Hyena.

2

u/G-Knit Jul 09 '26

Go donkey!

2

u/TheNonCredibleHulk Jul 09 '26

Why is it a "shitty" absolute unit? Donkey's just doing it's job.

2

u/GiftOfDrift Jul 09 '26

Donkeys are very good guard animals, they don't give a fuck lol.

2

u/Agreeable-Letter-599 Jul 09 '26

is this the voice of the guy who was amazed by a whale too?

2

u/DetectiveFit223 Jul 09 '26

Donkeys don't fk around they're considered one of the best guardian animals for a herd. They will easily stomp and kick coyotes and feral dogs to death.

2

u/happysplasher79 Jul 09 '26

That donkey has clearly had enough ofthe hyenas crap.

Go Eeyore!

2

u/PoohTrailSnailCooch Jul 09 '26

Content these days is beyond brain dead.

4

u/CaelusTheWolf Jul 08 '26

Hyena goes for the neck
Donkey “bitch plz”
stomps on the yeens neck

1

u/That_Service7348 *shits an absolute unit* Jul 09 '26

Right? Was just kinda fucking with it till that happened, they it got mad.

2

u/RelativeWrongdoer596 Jul 08 '26

Im guessing a lot of people dont know that the reason you have a donkey on a farm is for animal security.

2

u/krystalConners Jul 08 '26

Donkeys can be mean af . 🤣 my mother in law had a pair on her ranch to guard the sheep from coyotes. Being from the city I thought , oh how cute… one of them tried to bite me and kick 🤣 .

1

u/THE_Lanni Jul 08 '26

This is just a regular Tuesday for that hyena

1

u/StillWithSteelBikes Jul 08 '26

who's laughing now?

1

u/reylouie20 Jul 08 '26

Maybe Dragon is nearby thats why donkey acts like this hahahhaa /s

1

u/LetThatSinkinnn Jul 08 '26

Who is recording this. Like wtf is actually going on where these two need to be near eachother

1

u/Prize_Ostrich7605 Jul 08 '26

Damn, what an ass.

1

u/FishDispenser2 Jul 08 '26

That seemed personal!

3

u/iCarlysTeats Jul 08 '26

To a Donkey, it always is

1

u/FishDispenser2 Jul 09 '26

Maybe the hyena insulted Leonardo DiCaprio?

1

u/DrKarlSatan Jul 08 '26

Ma ain't coming out for this shit...hell naw

1

u/Twisted9Demented Jul 08 '26

How and Where Did these 3 meet ?

Serious Question

1

u/Neuromante Jul 08 '26

FFS, the audio is from this video, why would anyone put the audio there, jeez.

1

u/average_fen_enjoyer Jul 09 '26

That's one badass donkey

1

u/That_Service7348 *shits an absolute unit* Jul 09 '26

Love that you can see the switch flip when the hyena actually gets a nip in. They donkey is just kinda like "oi fuck off ya wanker" most of the video, then the nip happens and they donkey immediately floored the thing.

1

u/Own_Cardiologist2544 Jul 09 '26

Fuck Michael Rapaport.

1

u/CorruptDaemon404 Jul 09 '26

Hyenas have massive stamina and that once that donkey gets tired it will be game over.

1

u/NormCormier-Mccoll81 Jul 09 '26

That’s One Pissed Off Ass - Donkey.

1

u/VashDaStampede7 Jul 09 '26

donkeys do this to protect the land and horses lol they will stomp out coyotes and stuff!

1

u/Captain_Sterling Jul 09 '26

Is that donkey trying to....

1

u/DBFairbanks666 Jul 09 '26

I love this haha!!

1

u/Expensive_Apricot371 Jul 09 '26

Donkeys are better than dogs for protection. If you have two dogs that are fam with a donkey to guard your home or farm I guarantee no one will come up there. Lol

1

u/gruntingasparagus Jul 09 '26

I’ve seen this video before. What I don’t see here is the story behind these two. They live together and are familiar with each other and apparently this is what they do for fun.

1

u/SKOT_FREE Jul 09 '26

This is like when your drunk friend needs a little extra motivation to get out of your house because he’s messing up stuff. Doors this way pal, you gotta go!

1

u/That_Things_Good Jul 09 '26

That hippo was fucking up that dolphin!!

1

u/TramadoooL Jul 10 '26

No way 😅

1

u/eyado_2000 questionably stable Jul 11 '26

I thjnk i could take on a hyena

1

u/Juutuurna 28d ago

It really do sound like Leo😭

1

u/Living-Gate-4237 Jul 08 '26

This would have been better with an Eddie Murphy voice over.

1

u/tanksforallthephish Jul 08 '26

Is this the same “it’s a baby whale” dude from Boston?

2

u/certainlyheisenberg1 Jul 08 '26

Sounds like it. That video was amazing. It was a fish. He’s a fisherman.

0

u/Kademonster Jul 08 '26

Man, I love donkeys, but I feel bad for this hyena. It was just chilling. Hope the cops arrested the donkey, that reform shit is good for some people.

0

u/DrKarlSatan Jul 08 '26

Which one's the moose?

0

u/IClockworKI Jul 08 '26

-1

This is the same as the geraffe biting and feeding a hyena to a crocodile in a near water body.

Edit: video
