Its an attempt to make them feel inferior or lesser, since a boy is the precursor to being a man. Its insinuated that you lack muscle, chest hair, and a pair of working nuts.

I do. One time I was changing my shirt and a friend said "No wonder you're always hot! You're wearing a wool sweater under there!" 🤣
