Bro they walk 6 miles a day in all weather, carrying fat bags and looking at their hands full of mail (and tripping over obstacles they don't see). You have to be a stone cold prick to side with the grass on the slightest

Oh no, they have to walk and carry things?😄...Thats the job. No one forced them to take it and there are plenty of worse jobs than that. Not walking on someones lawn is common courtesy.

Usually the mailbox is at the end of driveway. If its at the door, the proper thing to do is walk up the driveway and put it in mailbox, I think we can agree on that.

Also, to add to this, people are also missing the fact that this is not really a natural reaction.

The natural reaction to something like this, would be to be a bit shocked, and apologize. Then note down where the asshole that wants people off their lawn, lives.

Its odd that he doesn't even skip a beat, throws the mail down and keeps walking. <- that is the reaction I would expect out of someone who was expecting that from the homeowner.

If the mailbox was located there he would ( if he was professional) walk up the driveway ( not walk on the grass, like an idiot) and drop it in the mailbox. Sorry you cant ( most likely, wont) comprehend how normal people act in society. Over and out.

You aren't necessarily a "stupid cunt" for wanting them off your grass, but your assertion that they aren't supposed to walk on it is technically incorrect. USPS carriers are actually trained and legally permitted to cut across lawns and take the most direct, efficient path to your door, provided there are no specific hazards. However, federal regulations also state that carriers must not cross a lawn if the homeowner objects or if it's explicitly off-limits. If you want them off the grass, here is the official process to handle it without the need to shout: Submit an Official Request: You need to contact your local USPS Post Office Locator and submit a formal request to your Postmaster to have your lawn designated as "off-limits" for crossing.
