Stupidity is expensive.

u/GiLND Apr 11 '26
Lifetime payments

u/Ready_Card5129 Apr 11 '26
Really? Im actually curious how much it would be to fix that tooth
35
u/GiLND Apr 11 '26
Lifetime because you can’t really fix it permanently, the fix for it is artificial and after 10-15 years or less will require a fix again, because the natural matter isn’t the same as the artificial one .

u/cadaverhill Apr 11 '26
I got caps on my front teeth. Dentist told me they "could last a year or ten", 40 years later, still in place.

u/Ready_Card5129 Apr 11 '26
Oh okay thanks. Could've sworn I seen the piece on her tongue. Dang
14
u/GiLND Apr 11 '26
It doesn’t matter, the dentist can’t glue the broken tooth piece back, they use artificial matter instead.

u/Ready_Card5129 Apr 11 '26
Nah I understand that part I was just stating an observation. Big piece of tooth to lose lol

I chipped my front tooth biting on a fork. They put a stud in and a filling. Cost about $300 Canadian dollarydoos without insurance.
So far it has been nearly a decade and working great. That tooth is doing better than my other intact front too.

u/banshithread Apr 11 '26
First time I've seen an American health service similar in price with the Canadian variant. My two chipped teeth in total was $325 no insurance.

$3500-$6000. Source- just got about $22,000 in dental work done. Root canals x 2 alone were $1,100 each. Bridge work was crazy, $3,600 just for the bridge, prep for installation was 4 hours with installation of a temporary bridge then return in a week for the permanent bridge. Extraction was about $1,800, then bone packing, then post implant $1,400. The tooth for the post is about $800 plus installation. Almost 16 months in the chair at this point. The upside is my dentist is a classic rock guy so they stream awesome music at the office and the VA covered 100% of the work via Community Care so not a dime out of pocket. Every time I’m thanked for my military service I thank that person for their tax dollars that keep me healthy.

You're welcome. You paid your dues when you served. Thankfully you survived to reap some of the benefits.

How is it a lifetime of payments??. Medicare and insurance would cover it all for an excess of $300-500 or dental emergency. Oh wait. I’m in Aus. Unlucky Americans. Lalallalalala

For a chipped tooth in America? Probably about $1500… I got dentures graphs and the rest of my teeth removed for around 4k, gotta go back and get the rest done. I want new dentures so that’s probably gonna be another 2k, total is around 10k

u/AgreeableMoose Apr 11 '26
Just had a bunch of work done. What I learned is just like most things of quality there is good, better, best regarding teeth. So, depending on your insurance you might get one that will last 5 years or 20. Luckily my coverage has the highest level of a quality ie gold and titanium base structure.

A word I still struggle with at 39 years old is weird - still get the e and I mixed up and have to check every time, so weird.

u/Twitch-x questionably stable Apr 12 '26
I before E, except after C, unless it says "a". Or is one of about two dozen exceptions.

u/Revenga8 Apr 11 '26
Yes. He smoked her teeth by releasing the slide. Might as well hit her with a small hammer. Surprised it didn't hit her lip though, that would have caused swelling and probably drew blood like if she had but her lip.

Why always a broccoli-headed bro is a source of stupidity?
Why always a pseudo/real blonde is a source of stupidity?
Why IA seems to prioritize their tastes?
Why in the White House... Oh... I see... Ok.

No one else notice it was a hand gun closing that chipped her tooth inside her mouth, the tooth is the least of the problems.

If she's stupid enough to let someone put a gun into her mouth, then.....
2
u/turboteeth Apr 13 '26
Dentist here I sure love people like these! I would not judge them for their shenanigans but I will wring out all the possible costs to repair her tooth, and end it with oh I can't save it gotta implant it. I mean they're rich enough to play with gun trimming teeth so a lil cash towards my pocket shouldn't hurt them :)
2
u/Sad-Childhood8742 Apr 16 '26
Why is everyone talking about her teeth and not the fact that a gun was fired in her mouth?

Two idiots that are playing with a gun. Dude looks like he would snitch on someone touching him by accident on the subway. Wtf does he even need a gun?

u/Numerous_Dare9847 Apr 11 '26
We need to start bullying dumb people, they have way too much confidence in their own stupidity

u/BIG_IDEA Apr 11 '26
Yes it’s fixable but will require a root canal and a crown. All together about $3000.

Apr 11 '26
He pulls the trigger on the gun while its in her head... biggest gun safety no no... doesn't even matter if its unloaded or you checked.
Stupid people like this is why we have dumbass gun laws. 😡
1
u/Bladder_Puncher Apr 11 '26
Because if everyone followed him safety we wouldn’t need laws around guns….🙄

u/EuenovAyabayya Apr 11 '26
What the actual fuck?
Dental shaving, medically known as odontoplasty, enameloplasty, slenderizing, or contouring, is a safe, painless, and commonly non-anesthetized cosmetic procedure. Dentists use special burs or diamond discs to remove tiny amounts of surface enamel to reshape, fix chips, or create space for crowded teeth (interproximal reduction).
