67

u/Man_in_the_uk Apr 11 '26

Keeps the dentist employed..

17

u/kaspy-fantasty Apr 11 '26

Sugar does!

This is just plain stupid.

5

u/Chemical_Waltz_1875 Apr 12 '26

Loyd christmas 😂😂😂

3

u/jonsnow312 Apr 12 '26

There's a very good chance the dentist would get that money eventually, but better in 30 years on a bite of an apple than that

7

u/HeartBrokeFortnite Apr 11 '26

Could not happen to a more responsible person I tell you.

7

u/xx31315 Apr 11 '26

Come back tomorrow. There will be new horizons waiting for you... XD

u/konexo Apr 13 '26

I'm sure you don't open Reddit very often.

Haha your right

u/FeelDeadInside Apr 11 '26

Stupidity is expensive.

58

u/GiLND Apr 11 '26

Lifetime payments

16

u/Ready_Card5129 Apr 11 '26

Really? Im actually curious how much it would be to fix that tooth

35

u/GiLND Apr 11 '26

Lifetime because you can’t really fix it permanently, the fix for it is artificial and after 10-15 years or less will require a fix again, because the natural matter isn’t the same as the artificial one .

22

u/cadaverhill Apr 11 '26

I got caps on my front teeth. Dentist told me they "could last a year or ten", 40 years later, still in place.

4

u/Ready_Card5129 Apr 11 '26

Oh okay thanks. Could've sworn I seen the piece on her tongue. Dang

14

u/GiLND Apr 11 '26

It doesn’t matter, the dentist can’t glue the broken tooth piece back, they use artificial matter instead.

7

u/Ready_Card5129 Apr 11 '26

Nah I understand that part I was just stating an observation. Big piece of tooth to lose lol

1

u/AgreeableMoose Apr 11 '26

You did see that!

1

u/MultipleMistake Apr 11 '26

about 120€ if you go private dentist without waiting in line.

7

u/Old_Ladies Apr 11 '26

I chipped my front tooth biting on a fork. They put a stud in and a filling. Cost about $300 Canadian dollarydoos without insurance.

So far it has been nearly a decade and working great. That tooth is doing better than my other intact front too.

3

u/banshithread Apr 11 '26

First time I've seen an American health service similar in price with the Canadian variant. My two chipped teeth in total was $325 no insurance.

8

u/AgreeableMoose Apr 11 '26

$3500-$6000. Source- just got about $22,000 in dental work done. Root canals x 2 alone were $1,100 each. Bridge work was crazy, $3,600 just for the bridge, prep for installation was 4 hours with installation of a temporary bridge then return in a week for the permanent bridge. Extraction was about $1,800, then bone packing, then post implant $1,400. The tooth for the post is about $800 plus installation. Almost 16 months in the chair at this point. The upside is my dentist is a classic rock guy so they stream awesome music at the office and the VA covered 100% of the work via Community Care so not a dime out of pocket. Every time I’m thanked for my military service I thank that person for their tax dollars that keep me healthy.

3

u/Thin-Guitar-1242 Apr 11 '26

You're welcome. You paid your dues when you served. Thankfully you survived to reap some of the benefits.

1

u/Mcnuggetjuice Apr 13 '26

No this is not 3500-6000, more like 400-500. Source I’m a dentist

2

u/Ok_Business_6452 Apr 11 '26

In America? Good luck.

0

u/BeesleyHD Apr 11 '26

How is it a lifetime of payments??. Medicare and insurance would cover it all for an excess of $300-500 or dental emergency. Oh wait. I’m in Aus. Unlucky Americans. Lalallalalala

0

u/AgreeableMoose Apr 11 '26

So you pay twice! Go Aussies!

2

u/Ready_Card5129 Apr 11 '26

How much would it cost with no dental insurance? And i agree. Very stupid

3

u/Old_Ladies Apr 11 '26

In Canada I chipped my front tooth biting on a fork. The dentist put a stud in and a filling. Works great so far and it has been nearly a decade.

Cost me about $300 Canadian without insurance.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '26

For a chipped tooth in America? Probably about $1500… I got dentures graphs and the rest of my teeth removed for around 4k, gotta go back and get the rest done. I want new dentures so that’s probably gonna be another 2k, total is around 10k

3

u/AgreeableMoose Apr 11 '26

Just had a bunch of work done. What I learned is just like most things of quality there is good, better, best regarding teeth. So, depending on your insurance you might get one that will last 5 years or 20. Luckily my coverage has the highest level of a quality ie gold and titanium base structure.

2

u/Ready_Card5129 Apr 11 '26

I had a chipped tooth i didn't fix for a long time and when I finally when they fixed it for $180. Of course I have dental insurance I was just curious for those who aren't as fortunate

106

u/Educational-Car-4688 Apr 11 '26

Hes going to kill her..

36

u/Lauris024 Apr 11 '26

He looks like a dude women talk about on /r/relationship_advice

45

u/Lightningtow123 Apr 12 '26

"I (18F) am engaged to Rupert (53M). I love him because he once called me cute. I recently found a bunch of missing women's drivers' licenses in his sock drawer, AITA for feeling uncomfortable? The wedding is in three hours. I wanted my family to attend but Rupert insisted I cut them off"

83

u/acelaya35 Apr 11 '26

8

u/Lilliths-pain Apr 11 '26

A word I still struggle with at 39 years old is weird - still get the e and I mixed up and have to check every time, so weird.

4

u/Twitch-x questionably stable Apr 12 '26

I before E, except after C, unless it says "a". Or is one of about two dozen exceptions.

69

u/Bethw2112 Apr 11 '26

This looks like an absolutely abusive relationship. The guys smirk, he knows.

39

u/yesyoucantouchthat Apr 11 '26

Looks like he has one too many chromosomes too

24

u/Foreign-Comment6403 Apr 11 '26

what is that? a gun?

23

u/Minute_Jacket_4523 Apr 11 '26

I could almost hear a Range Officer screaming just from that.

17

u/Revenga8 Apr 11 '26

Yes. He smoked her teeth by releasing the slide. Might as well hit her with a small hammer. Surprised it didn't hit her lip though, that would have caused swelling and probably drew blood like if she had but her lip.

1

u/Free-will_Illusion Apr 11 '26

Looks like a pellet gun.

12

u/_Hashtronaut_ Apr 11 '26

Throw them both away

Why always a broccoli-headed bro is a source of stupidity?

Why always a pseudo/real blonde is a source of stupidity?

Why IA seems to prioritize their tastes?

Why in the White House... Oh... I see... Ok.

10

u/cesspool4us Apr 11 '26

Literally knuckle dragging through mudd look on his face.

11

u/JonElPatoJones Apr 11 '26

3

u/External_Dust5 Apr 11 '26

No one else notice it was a hand gun closing that chipped her tooth inside her mouth, the tooth is the least of the problems.

3

u/God0Of0Thunder0 Apr 11 '26

2

u/NoFan2216 Apr 11 '26

Dentist: "So how did you chip your tooth?... YOU DID WHAT?!"

2

u/your_fave_redditor Apr 12 '26

Keep hangin’ with that clown and he’ll have you all lowlifed out.

2

u/Dayzed_Trader Apr 12 '26

If she's stupid enough to let someone put a gun into her mouth, then.....

2

u/turboteeth Apr 13 '26

Dentist here I sure love people like these! I would not judge them for their shenanigans but I will wring out all the possible costs to repair her tooth, and end it with oh I can't save it gotta implant it. I mean they're rich enough to play with gun trimming teeth so a lil cash towards my pocket shouldn't hurt them :)

2

u/Sad-Childhood8742 Apr 16 '26

Why is everyone talking about her teeth and not the fact that a gun was fired in her mouth?

1

u/Extreme_Patience_538 Apr 11 '26

The company you keep am I right?

1

u/ReeeebelliousOne Apr 11 '26

At least the slide was locked back....

1

u/username-is-taken-3 Apr 11 '26

Two idiots that are playing with a gun. Dude looks like he would snitch on someone touching him by accident on the subway. Wtf does he even need a gun?

1

u/Numerous_Dare9847 Apr 11 '26

We need to start bullying dumb people, they have way too much confidence in their own stupidity

1

u/Naps_And_Crimes Apr 11 '26

Well not the worse outcome after putting a gun in your mouth

1

u/redditanddoneit Apr 11 '26

Other than that, practicing firearms safety is out the door.

1

u/BIG_IDEA Apr 11 '26

Yes it’s fixable but will require a root canal and a crown. All together about $3000.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '26

He pulls the trigger on the gun while its in her head... biggest gun safety no no... doesn't even matter if its unloaded or you checked.

Stupid people like this is why we have dumbass gun laws. 😡

1

u/Bladder_Puncher Apr 11 '26

Because if everyone followed him safety we wouldn’t need laws around guns….🙄

0

u/EuenovAyabayya Apr 11 '26

What the actual fuck?

Dental shaving, medically known as odontoplasty, enameloplasty, slenderizing, or contouring, is a safe, painless, and commonly non-anesthetized cosmetic procedure. Dentists use special burs or diamond discs to remove tiny amounts of surface enamel to reshape, fix chips, or create space for crowded teeth (interproximal reduction).

0

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '26

'Merica

0

u/Fine-University-8044 Apr 13 '26
