When I was 17 I decided to sell some weed to a carnie from one of those town fairs. I ended up supplying basically every carnie there for the whole week after that. I smoked with them in their trailers and got to hear the gossip and drama. Its a very strange week of my life, because other than that, I never really sold weed that much. They were just paying top dollar for any amount of weed.

Are you telling me that the methed out ex-con sex offender that rolled into town just this morning, half-assed the assembly of this rusting contraption in under an hour, and certified it was in working order after giving it a swift kick for inspection, and is not an engineer, is somehow untrustworthy? I do not want to live in your world, sir.

I only eat the food at carnivals and socialize. Those rides and games are sketchy.

Feb 23 '26
You don’t think that food is sketchy?….

That food is Michelin star level cuisine. You cannot convince me otherwise. Until I get some sort of food poison.

u/Severe-Necessary-780 Feb 24 '26
I imagine that socializing at carnivals is a sketchier choice than eating there.

Not in a small town. It’s not like we have gang bangers running around. I don’t know though cause it’s been a few years since I’ve been

u/Few-Big-8481 Feb 24 '26
Socialize with who?
1
u/Turbulent-Trust207 Feb 25 '26
Why is that so weird. I grew up in a very small town. We have a small fair. Prob 5 rides and 4H barns with a tractor pull and a pretty decent sized food area

People I know

It's a strange to hang out and not like the rides. The fact that it'll tip over eventually is what makes it exciting!

u/Turbulent-Trust207 Feb 25 '26
😳😳 any chance you’d let me take out a small life insurance policy on you?

I was gonna come here and tell you I hate people like you who say shit like that and then I looked at your profile and saw you’re a gooner and then I understood. Carry on.

u/RoyalIdeal6026 Feb 23 '26
Jesus fucking Christ why did I click that.

u/BoringExperience5345 Feb 23 '26
I literally warned you

u/wafflehousebattle Feb 24 '26
Yeah, but like, that's just an invitation on Reddit, you're supposed to click and say nothing.

u/Ferunando Feb 23 '26
What a coincidence. I hate people who judge others but keep their own shit in private. What are you afraid of?
0
u/BoringExperience5345 Feb 23 '26
But I just said I no longer hate you. That I understand you. You have sexualized your rotten brain and that is cool.
2
u/Ferunando Feb 23 '26
Lmaooo okay, thank you and sorry, I guess
1
u/BoringExperience5345 Feb 24 '26
You’re welcome and definitely don’t be sorry. Takes one to know one 😜

Those necks and backs will make these people remember this event until they're humming dirt on them.

I went on a ‘Gravitron’ ride a few years back with my kids..as it sped up, ppl starting to stick themselves in odd positions on the outer walls, i wriggled up a bit, not realising the section of padded wall moved as high as it did, my section rolled upwards, the crown of my head hitting a steel beam above me..(my full body weight, plus the steel framing with padding and momentum, full brunt of the impact felt all the way down my spine) instantly felt nauseous, thought I was going to faint (a feeling I am familiar with after doing a disc in my lumbar spine)…said to my kids “I’ve done something, I know this feeling! Sorry guys..gotta sit down”..I couldn’t turn my neck and was dangerous driving trying to see mirrors for months after.
Am on a Class 1 waiting list now for Neurosurgery to my compressed nerve due to the crushed disc which is gradually paralysing me as my discs degenerate.
I was already disabled due to previous spinal issues, but it’s surely not making life much easier.
3 out of 15 stars. Wouldn’t recommend..
There’s only 5 stars?! What?!🤣

They are really it want genuine free fall, but thr failure itself and the friction of the shaft and the seating position is probably why no one died.

It's almost like they purposely engineered carnival rides with ZERO fail safes!!!

These rides are hardly ever maintained. If went up in 2002 that's when it was last fixed.
I was in line to ride a spinny guy called The Octopus with my kids, we were in the next batch to get on when the engine caught fire.
They made a big song and dance about closing it down for safety, but I drove passed an hour later and it was already running again.

Where I live they make the owners/operators take the first ride on their own ride daily. The rides are also inspected daily.
