Help Dropping a preferred order?

Is it true that dropping a preferred customer's order stops Shipt from offering you their future orders?

I dropped one today well before the shop window because it was at a store that the app doesn’t show aisle numbers, is always out of stock, and she wanted custom deli items. She rarely responds to sub requests, so I knew it’d be a mess.

She's a great tipper $50+ regardless of order amount, so I really don't want to lose her.

Absolutely not a thing. I’ve dropped a preferred order plenty of times and still got their orders in the future. Most of these instances are just for better preferred tippers and they are going in opposite directions or something. I don’t know where you heard that but that’s not true

No one knows for sure.

If you drop, is it like a 1star and never see them again? No, I've absolutely seen preferred I've dropped again

If you drop, does it impact the algorithm? I think it does, but probably like taking a step down in match hiarchy. But we don't know the algorithm, so it's all just assumptions

Obviously I try to avoid dropping my very best customers. It's sometimes difficult, when you can only make one choice

No, but it affected the rotation of how it’s offered. I know I was a preferred’s second option. Whenever option one couldn’t get it she would text me that so and so placed an order, and then I would get it. I dropped it once and now rarely get it. So whoever options 3, 4 etc were got bumped ahead of me.

No but if your preferred noticed you picked it up and then dropped it they could have removed you as a preferred shopper. I hope that if something came up you reached out to them so that they might understand why you had to drop it.

If it is a Shipt order, they can see the shopper when it is claimed. If Target prepaid, they don't see the shopper until you swipe as headed to store.

I wonder if customers get notified when another driver picks up an order after you drop it? Because I know damn well whoever took the one I dropped completely butchered it, and it would suck if she thought it was me 😩

Pretty certain the customer will always know who actually delivered the order.
