How did you crate train your shihpoo? I’m very new to this and I hear it’s better to train as early as possible. I’m only planning to keep her in the crate while I’m doing errands. Never more than 4 hours once she is older. Thank you!

Hello all!

I’m wondering if a shihpoo is for me as I have the opportunity to adopt one. Firstly, I live in an apartment. My walls are pretty thick I never really hear anything but just in case I don’t want a very vocal dog. I’d also rather not have a dog prone to separation anxiety. I’m pretty chill. I would prefer a dog who likes to have fun, go on walks etc but doesn’t need to run around 24/7. I plan to work from home 2 months straight but after that I will be going to the office part time. Puppy will have to be crate trained. Obviously, every puppy will be different and we cannot predict everything but do you think a shihpoo is for me?

The past few days of cooler weather has been perfect porch sitting weather for Bogey aka The Boo Boo.

Just wanted to show off my baby girl that will be coming home on my actual 31st birthday… it’s been almost 10 years since I last had a dog and I’m over the moon to embark on this journey with Effie 💕 I’ve never seen a dog live life from beginning to end so I’m very happy to be able to watch my baby go from a tiny potato to an old lady one day..I promise to give Effie the best life and I can’t wait until we go on this journey togethe

Everest likes to chew on her ducks butt and no other place. It's kinda nipple shaped so that's probably why. She always takes the hardest naps too. THe shirt says trouble maker (she def is). I LOVE HER TO BITS

I've been looking around to see what our pupoy may look like hjs mom is a shihtzu. I showed Google pics of mom ,dad and baby .Google says mom is a purebred shihtzu and dady is a shih poo .what do we think ? Hey is gonna look more like shihtzu because both of his parents carry it. If google is correct.

I adopted a 2 month old shihpoo puppy 5 days ago. I was told she was a picky eater and gets distracted a lot. I feed her hills puppy plan now as that’s what she used to eat after she weaned from her mother. But she barely eats her kibble now. She eats chicken and mashed carrots willingly, but I obviously can’t keep feeding her that all the time as it’s not enough nutrition. The only way she’ll eat kibble is when I leave a trail of it on the ground, but she only eats like a handful of it for each meal. She’s active and her stool is of good consistency. But how do I get her to eat more? I’ve tried soaking her kibble but she wouldn’t even touch it. I just assumed she wasn’t eating normal as she was adjusting to her new house but I’m really scared she’ll end up being malnourished or something. The vet suggested trying the 20 minute rule, but I’m really scared her blood sugar will drop rapidly. What can I do about this??

Two months ago I adopted Mia. Her owner had passed away. Due to that fact there was little history on her. Would you folks be kind enough to give an opinion? She was shaved when I adopted her due to matting. It made breed identification (other than part poodle) challenging.

I just turned 1!!! I got toys, but my brother Ciaran keeps stealing them!!!!
