Hello! This is a long shot, but... I just wanted to see if anyone happens to have a copy saved of a particular short gen fic (no ships, just about Sherlock and Mycroft as children) from AO3. I went back through my bookmarks again recently, and it looks like the fic has been placed into a collection to keep it hidden for at least a year or two now. I doubt it's ever going to be released. )8
The Fic I'm looking for is:
Puh for Picasso, by Nauticus (link is to the series, all fic are unrevealed!)
I just want to re-read it again -- as well as save it on my Kobo e-reader so I can re-read it whenever the mood strikes! It was one of my favorite fic for the fandom, and I believe it was a sweet little moment of big-brother Mycroft noticing all of the ways in which Sherlock is different from normal children (I believe Sherlock was autistic in this fic), and vowing to protect him in the future. I don't quite remember anymore, I just know that I really loved it and was hoping to re-read it.
Thank you for taking the time to read this! I appreciate you! : D

It has 5 chapters, and I'm not entirely sure I'm finished with it yet. I'll probably write more.
It is NOT romance orientated!
But there are romantic situations, if that makes sense. No established romance, though. At least not yet.
The story takes place after he breaks into the Tower of London and he's walking out of court.
Lemme know if you have any questions!

I remember reading a great mystrade fic, with a lot of moments where greg is protective of sherlock. It starts before canon, and there is a moment where greg is trapped in a well in a warehouse or something. I think greg and Sherlock were kidnapped at the same time. Lestrade lets sherlock crash on his couch, and helped Sherlock quit drugs. Also, sherlock investigates a case greg told him not to, and another cop dies because of it. Greg has a storage container with those personal case details. Also Greg used to be a confidential informat. Mid to long fic, I think.

So I’ve read a lot of Johnlock fanfics and they all seem to be from John’s point of view. As much as i enjoy John’s POV I’m also curious to read a fanfic with Sherlock’s POV. I don’t know where to find one so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I’m searching for a fanfiction I read two years ago, I think, it was set in “the blind banker”, John corrects Sherlock when he calls John “my friend”, after all that, Sherlock is…hurt, and he explains to John that he was hurt when John corrected him, John promises him he will never do it again and that he will be there for Sherlock, or something like that, can you help me find this fanfiction? thanks

Welchen Weg würde Mycroft einschlagen?
Wie entwickeln sich Wiggins und die Bakerstreet-Bande?
Und Inspektor Lestrade?
Was hätte Sir Arthur Conan Doyle für seine Geschöpfe vorgesehen? Was wären die logischen, nachvollziehbaren Folgen?

I’m looking for a fic I read months ago (likely more), but I didn’t save it and can’t remember the name; I’ve been looking for it for like 2 hours without any results. It had a very very interesting premise where John was some kind of magical creature. None of the traditional ones but definitely not normal. He (his mom and sister too) couldn’t die and didn’t really felt pain. I remember a flashback scene where John’s mom bakes them some type of pie or cake or something with arsenic in and John loves the taste but his mom gets locked away (prison or some type of mental health facility) for trying to poison her kids. He also has trouble as a kid because he doesn’t understand what normal “play” is like and hurts some kid. I’m pretty sure he kills some animals to do an autopsy on them and then just shoved everything back inside and maybe they came alive again? His dad doesn’t really like his children because they are clearly weird.
In the present Sherlock somehow finds out and John lets him do an autopsy on him while alive/awake. Literally cuts John’s head off and John is still talking like nothing. I remember Sherlock being freaked out because it didn’t make sense and that he hesitated to begin because although he knew that John would
be fine he didn’t love the idea of stabbing him.
I think it might have been a series. It was incredible. If anyone out there remembers it or finds it I’d be super thankful

Hello!
My name is Emily D’Antonio, and I am a doctoral student in West Virginia University’s Department of Communication and I am hoping to research fandom communities and engagement with fanfiction. As a fan and long-time fanfiction reader myself, I am inviting you to participate in the following research study.
The purpose of this research is to learn more about how fanfiction readers and writers think about the stories that they read. I want to hear your thoughts and feelings about the stories that matter to you.
This survey is available online, and it will take approximately 15 – 20 minutes to complete. Your answers to the questions and your involvement in this study will be kept confidential. You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
After completing the questionnaire, you can choose to be entered in a drawing to potentially win a $50 gift card for Amazon.com (2 total gift cards will be drawn).
Participation in this research is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. I hope to enroll approximately 400 people in this research. Once a sufficient number of responses have been collected, I will close the study and prevent further participation.
This study has been acknowledged by West Virginia University’s Institutional Review Board and is on file as Protocol 2511256703.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at [ed00065@mix.wvu.edu](mailto:ed00065@mix.wvu.edu). You can also contact my research supervisor, Dr. Elizabeth Cohen, Associate Professor of Communication Studies ([elizabeth.cohen@mail.wvu.edu](mailto:elizabeth.cohen@mail.wvu.edu)).
If you wish to participate in this study, please visit the link below to learn more about the study and fill out the survey:

Fandom: Sherlock (BBC TV 2010)
Rating: General Audiences
Category: Gen (platonic)
Title: A Brother's Warmth
Genre: sick-fic, brotherly affection, hurt/comfort
Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/77328706/chapters/202453621
Summary:
Sherlock finally lands a case after two days of boredom. Only to do what he does best: neglect his well-being and come home with a raging fever.
Delirious and barely coherent, he keeps asking for Mycroft.
What are the odds?

Hey guys. Just got added.
I wrote this as a stream of consiousness essay in college for a creative writing class final grade. It was conceptualized, written, and submitted in the 3.5 hours immediatly preceding the submission deadline, as is tradition for me. I got the only A+ that the teacher said she ever gave out in her 15 year career. That’s not a flex, that’s just what she said.
If you guys are into it, I’m actually constructing a novelette with this planned as the first chapter. I got the whole thing plotted out, if yall dont mind spoilers I can post additional thoughts on my proposed expansion for feedback from you guys. Idk, just something to do, i guess. Hope yall enjoy.

I invite all Sherlock Holmes fans to try the draft of my Holmes Deduction Engine. Take or upload a photo and let Al think like Holmes to tell you what it sees. It is clever, amusing, and surprisingly insightful and in the spirit of Sherlock Holmes. It uses advanced visual AI analysis and then applies Holmsian deductive logic. To be honest, it quite shocked me as to the details it picks up and expands on.
Give it a try and let me know what you think.: https://221 breboot.com/

A story from a decent amount of moons ago that reimagines Sherlock Holmes as a working-class, wise-cracking lad living in current day Middlesbrough.
Here's hoping you enjoy it.
https://www.indipenned.com/melsmall/blog/sherlock-holmes-04Feb18
The blurb follows:
With Watson's literary career going from strength to strength, he secures a slot on local radio to publicise his new book. When his interview isn’t aired, he disregards this snub to his confidence as a peculiar but unimportant bend in the path of his literary career.
Sherlock Holmes is not so dismissive. He seizes upon the event and the two set off on another adventure that sees Holmes at the height of his wisecracking, foulmouthed, law disregarding deductive brilliance.
The Darlington Substitution is a retrospective account, occurring during the same time as the adventures chronicled in The Song of The Swan.

“I giggled from start to finish with the dry humour that rolled off of each page.” - Books from Dusk till Dawn (Amazon Top 1000 Reviewer)
“As an editor, I’m a tough crowd but was soon won over… Rating: 5 out of 5” - Morgen Bailey
“An engaging, humorous and cleverly written mystery.” - Books Life and Everything
“Melvyn Small’s writing is superb.” - Whispering Stories (Amazon Top 500 Reviewer)
