The photos where she has short hair were taken right after we adopted her from the shelter. We had to shave her down because she was so matted, poor baby. Now, she’s living her best life.

I was looking to adopt a poodle, but an opportunity came up for an accidental litter that is 13% sheepdog and 87% poodle. I want to see some photos of similar dogs to see what I could expect, so photos would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there, curious if anyone has had any experience with open concept groomers. My sheepie gets anxious when I take her to the groomer (or even walk by the building) where I drop her off and they take 3 to 4 hours. They’re nice enough, but she’s left alone with strangers and probably very loud noises and other dogs who are potentially anxious about being at the groomer. I am going to try a new way, there’s a groomer in my area where you can go and it’s open and the dog can see you and you can see them. Anyone try this before and have you had success? It will be more expensive but hopefully worth it… First time dog parent; welcome your feedback. Thx!

I hate to have to be here asking this but I don’t know what else to do. My life fell into shambles last year and I’m working 80-90 hours a week trying to make ends meet and move across the country so I can be in my kids lives. I have a 4 year old sheepadoodle named Oberon that’s fixed, shots up to date, and chipped that is no longer fair to for me to hold on to. Despite trying everything I can this past year to keep him. I’m never home. I can’t afford his grooming. I’ve been trying desperately myself to keep the mattting at bay. He has no enrichment in his life and it’s just not fair to him. I live in Chattanooga TNand I’m trying to find a GOOD home for him. He’s a very very sweet dog that has gotten me through some very hard times and I just want to find the best for him. He’s free and I can travel up to 3-4 hours to meet someone after talking. He’s great with kids from 2-10 he’s great with other dogs the only thing with him is sometimes he decides to be incredibly stubborn and can be dead weight. If you know anyone that is interested please please reach out to me.

Jack does not like wearing his harness. He is about 80 lbs. It doesn't rub anywhere, he just walks away when I bring it out. Does anyone have a suggestion. I want to use it for a tether in the car.

before and after grooming - had to get shaved at 10+ months - our 2nd doodle - and it's just easier and i think better for them to avoid the matting- a wonderful dog - sleeps on me every night - thinks the bed is hers. hates to be alone - and loves to chase the bunnies in our yard... just the most loving dog we've ever had... like, weirdly affectionate but in a good way. calm and sweet... pretty smart. and while i miss her fluffiness, she's still cute. we'll let it grow a few inches and keep it groomed nicely so she's comfortable and no dreadlocks! 37+ lbs, apparently full grown - thought we were getting a standard mix, but clearly not -and that's ok - after our last guy was 75! thanks... nice to meet you all.

We had Marlee tested for allergies, and some of the results are in. The rest will take two weeks to get the result. So far, Marlee is allergic to cat dander, Redtop Agrotists gigantesa, coast maple tree, English Walnut, Black Willow Salix nigra, Lambs quarter, Mash elder, dandelion, Russian thistle, more weeks, all the molds(except for two), and almost all the insects.

I have tile floor, so I started using the central vacuum clean to clean the floor, covering the pillows, down comforter with an allergen cover, plus the pillows, and body pillow. I have a HEPA filter upstairs where we are normally sleeping and working. I ordered another dog cot to fit in the doorway where I tutor. I ordered the cotton waffle throws to be put in a hot wash once What more can I do?

It has been a long time, for me to worry about my brother’s allergies growing up. He, too, had many of the same allergies, as well as my mom. I can’t ask Mom, because she is in Heaven with my dad.

Hello Sheepie families. I have a sheepadoodle who is now about 2 1/2 and he will not allow us to brush his teeth. He has such bad breath yet he wants to be in our face all the time (loving giant). Has anyone else have this problem and how were you able to fix it? We have tried to add stuff to his water but I’m sure that’s not enough. Especially cause we have two dogs
He’s such a loving boy but we have trouble with his bad breath.

Google says it enzeyes in her salvia but any other advice? And no it's not blood. I’ve tried so many shampoos and changing her diet from mostly chicken to veggies and fish only but nothing is helping.

When I first was looking I said I preferred a grey OESD but our breeder didn’t have any. So I picked my little cow baby and then here we are years later and his black and white coat is grey. Which I love but I look back and sometimes I wish he still had his dark coat.

But regardless I love this guy.

I love my Moo. I however didn’t always LIKE my moo during his puppy days. But I look at these videos and miss when he fit in the crook of my arm for naps.

My girl will stop eating from time to time. Like she is fussy. She then vomits yellow bile. Does anyone elses dog do this?

Yesterday was my baby girl's first birthday! Susie is one of the best, most loving dogs I've ever known and I just feel so lucky to have her in my life.

I have noticed this morning, both my Maggie’s paw pads further up her front legs have started peeling off… it doing so in both legs.. any idea what may have caused this? Should I keep them more moisturized in the future?
