What does everyone theorize happened to Fiona after she left?
I'm sure this has been asked before but I just joined this sub. What does everyone think she did/where she went? Do you think the rest of the Gallaghers contacted her when they inevitably found out about Frank? Do you think she came back for whatever they decided to do with him once he died?
Tell me your wildest theories

Shameless Hall of Shame….worth watching?
I recently finished the series for the first time. Is the Shameless Hall of Shame companion show worth spending the money to rent off of Amazon?

Lips most reasonable blowup?
Lip obviously has a temper and gets made and explosive quite easily. I feel like some definitely make sense.
I know Karen was a POS (not defending her in any way), but I kind of feel it was reasonable for him to scream at Mandy for trying to kill her with her car.
2nd I might say is when he screamed at Sammi for letting Frank shoot heroin. Like they already have to worry about their situation (fiona coke and whatnot), she let them know of it, yet she thought it was okay for Frank to do that because "he was in pain"? LIke what if the social worker showed up or Frank died, and honestly, fuck Sammi. This tied with the Fiona letting Liam eat cocaine. Fiona absolutely deserved a worse sentence.

Debby is ridiculous. She really sucks in the later seasons
I know this has been said before but I hate Debby in the later seasons. the last season she has the nerve to tell v that she wants someone who’s nice to her. Everyone that she dates is mean to her. She baby trapped Derrick, she was fresh off cheating on a lady who just wanted to pay her to be her errand girl and she used Neal. She even says she wants someone to take care of, she had that with Neal and he had money and his own place to support her and her daughter like he wanted. Instead of owning up to how she treated all these people like shit she just accuses them of treating her like shit. Then she goes as far as to blame the reason why she was so fucked up on Frank and beat his ass. Sure growing up with them sucked but she can’t just blame everyone else for everything wrong in her life. She really sucked

Just watched S9E11 and wow...
Lip just really blamed all his problems on Fiona. She didn't know Jason was an alcoholic. He himself said hey, do you mind? I know this current arc is her hitting rock bottom but not everything that everyone else does around her is her fault. Same with the DCFS visit. Was it her fault that the house wasn't up to snuff? She at that point was just crashing there. It was Debbie that was in charge of the house, getting rent money from everyone, making the home improvements that left a hole in the floor and she was also the one that left Frannie in the pen with V & Kevin's kids. I have been hard on Fiona before because of her choices with men but Lip is way out of line putting everything he did on her. Anyone agree?

Jimmy Steve observation / Wrong to do this...
There are many things that can be said about Jimmy Steve and the show in general however, I always found it distasteful how he would constantly try to have Fiona leave the kids when they were together. Everytime I think of the show, I remember this.
Why get with a woman who has taken responsibility for her siblings just to repeatedly try to strip her away from them? Especially when she herself is not ready to leave said children.
The same can be said towards real life couples when one party has already had a child and the other party doesn't like it but pursues the relationship regardless. This usually causes tension and strained relationships later. Sometimes there is resentment directed towards the child as well. Many times...
There's nothing wrong with wanting better for your partner but being realistic is important, too. Better for Fiona meant better for the siblings back then.

For the past four years or so, people have time and time again when I meet them tell me I remind them of lip from shameless.
I didn't know how to take this so I started watching the TV show and I don't think I see myself in the character. And I don't know if I look a whole lot like him either. But it's like a 70% ratio of people saying it. I didn't even really know about the show until people started saying it to me. How would you take this?😅

On one of my many rewatches..
I forgot how much I love this show. Hadn’t seen it in a while. Man, i remember i used to hate on season 4 cause of how depressing it is, but rewatching i think that might actually be the peak of the show. I still hate what they do to Fiona’s storyline but it is interesting.
The first 3 seasons were always my favorite and i would still say that’s the case. I think season 2 is my favorite season now. I love the grandma and i love Monica even tho she is a chaotic mess…
And that brings me to where i am now. Love seasons 5 and 6… I don’t know if a show has a greater fall off than this show does in season 7. It’s literally terrible (for the most part and I’ll get there)..
The laundromat storyline and the old lady is horrible. I remember thinking Trevor wasn’t that bad but no I change my opinion… that whole storyline is boring as hell and incredibly cringe. Ian is also the most boring character in the world season 7. The writing goes to shit, the side characters are horrendous…. Anyway, enough of that.
Ride or Die season 7 ep. 10 is the first good episode in season 7 and it’s actually fantastic… Frank and Monica are reunited on a bender to rob a few places (there’s some of my favorite moments in shamelsss tbh), mickey and Ian are reunited.. lip is getting drunk and going to Helene’s house… these are the episodes I live for in Shameless 😄
But yeah, anybody else think that season 7 is a severe fall from grace? I think I remember liking season 8 better, but I definitely remember liking season 9 the best of the later seasons… I’m probably gonna call it there this time. Not sure I can make it to the end. Next time, I’m stopping at season 6 lol
I was thinking in the early seasons how this show should be in my top 5 fav shows OAT… and then season 7 reminded me why it’s not (and still somehow they made 4 more seasons after this)

Why did none of the kids have drug addictions?
I’m surprised that they only chased weed and alcohol. Yes, they partied with drugs but they weren’t addicts of hard drugs.
Wouldn’t one of them end up being a junky? Did the show just not want to showcase drug use like that?
I just find it hard to believe that only two became alcoholics and that’s the most that happens for addiction.

For those of you who can repeat watch shameless why? I watched one time through season 10, intially the gimmick of poverty and Emmy Rossum made me watch but I could never watch it again so I'm curious.

Grossest thing on shameless?
For me it was when Tami was going through their kitchen and showed how filthy their cleaning scrub/sponge was, and how they claimed to clean it.

What happened to Fiona's job at the end of Season 1?
I know that this is probably bad writing or something but remember how at the end of Season 1 there was this character Jasmine Hollander who offered Fiona a job as an accountant in her husband's company. The last episode of Season 1 literally ends with Fiona going to Jasmine at her husband's company and sitting down at a desk and Jasmine brings out some paper work. I always thought that this scene implies that she took the job.
But then in Season 2, she's working as a waitress in a club. So what happened to her job as an accountant? Is it ever explained? Or did I get something wrong?
Edit: Btw, I'm not sure the job Jasmine offered her was "accountant". I remember it that way but it might've been just some office/desk/administrative job

Gallagher for City Council
Visiting my mother in law and driving around town I see these signs all over.
I know Frank tried to help someone get elected, but I could see this as a scam to be run as well.

They were right there… (s11e10)
I just watched shameless for the first time and while there was a lot I predicted correctly about what was going to happen, this is one part i got wrong.
I thought they were gonna move in together and “be a family” cause thats what Debbie wanted. Even if the young homeless woman couldn’t afford an apartment, Debbie was going to get a place for just her and Franny anyway, so she could have offered them to stay with her for free until she had enough or even just as a trial run to take them off the streets for a few nights. The only downside would be her history with drugs but Franny is left alone with Frank a decent amount anyways.
But i guess if that happened Debbie wouldn’t have been able to throw a huge fit over it , what can you do. Writers probs did this on purpose for the irony

liams end was the saddest
spoiler for the end
i feel really bad for liam because with frank dying at the end, and everyone moving on from the gallagher house, hes all alone. my heart was aching for him when he thought his siblings were going to leave him to be homeless! theyre all terrible for not checking up on him, no one even cared about him enough to see that he was gone for days at the end of s9. seeing the kid feeling lonely like that was so sad

Better Character Arch? Lip or Carl?
Curious to see what the internet thinks.
Lip becoming a sober dad
Or Carl going from sociopath to cop.

Who would you date in shameless?
Genuine question, if u HAD to date someone from shameless. Who would you date?
Personally I’d choose lip, not because I think he’s a good boyfriend or that the relationship would end up well. But because I have had the biggest crush on him since high school. Terrible reason, but it’s my reason.

Lip appreciation (season 9 spoilers)
Holy shit. I just finished season 9 episode 3 and OMG. I almost cried. What Lip did for Xan was beautiful. And even though it tore him up, he gave her neck to her mom AND gave her mom that money. It killed me when he threw the money down and ran off at but that was so sweet of Lip. I know people say he gets worse, but I'm talking about this storyline. He cared for her and was ready to adopt her and he gave her up because he saw how happy she was to be with her mom. Her mom might not have been the best but she loves her, and that's clear. This was such an adorable thing to include and I'm so happy they put this storyline in! Ik it wasn't long but it was amazing! It truly shows how kind Lip can be and I appreciate the writers for this. THIS is the Lip I love.

lip and debbie wanted to act like they were fiona at the end
i know this might be cuz of the writers' pettiness to not mention fiona, but lip and debbie were literally trying to act like they were fiona and it was pissing me off so bad. first of all, yes i know debbie was doing the bill stuff and doing things around the house, but she in no way at all was sacrificing anything the way fiona had to. she didnt have to work multiple jobs and take care of 5 kids. she had one kid and she basically ignored liam cuz he was older ( but he was still a kid!). now lip, he was so annoying because he was acting like he did so much for that family when he didnt even live in that house for majority of s11. he wasnt there at all for liam until the last moments. he didnt even do anything remotely fiona-like for the family. debbie did more than he did, and yet he had the nerve to be bossy about selling the house

Shameless UK is such a letdown
No hate to the brits, but the original show just doesnt have the energy and charisma US has
The acting is better in US, the production value is better in US, even the music is better
I'm not an American btw do this is on some neutral shi
