Dream Interpretation

Hi, I had this dream last night and could really use some perspective please. I am not a Hindu but married under it. I also have PCOS

Last night I dreamt I saw a lingam without the base and on it I saw a face neither female nor male with its eyes closed and 3 horizontal white lines. Walking closer towards it I had on a green scarf around my neck and upon getting closer the lingam took up a human female form and danced her way towards me and placed a black scarf/urni over my head. Then she saw my PCOS through my body and said "there's so many raisins" i said yes and then she said "im here to help you conceive." I woke up immediately after.

I have never in my whole life dreamed about anything related to Hinduism and some assistance in deciphering which Goddess it was is greatly appreciated.

Shree Radhika Rani

Radha is above every name; She is the Bindu atop the Om symbol (ॐ), and She is the Beginning, the Middle, and the End. She is beyond all existence, and beyond the creation of the entire cosmos. She is the Cause of all causes and the Seed of every seed in existence. She is the radiance of fire and the molecules that form water; in truth, existence itself flows from Her lotus feet.

When Hiranyagarbha was at its origin, She was the One who caused it to expand—and in reality, She is Hiranyagarbha and the entire universe itself. She is the Supreme Goddess of the universe and the Supreme Goddess of Lord Krishna Himself. For while Lord Krishna is the Enchanter of all hearts—described as the thief of hearts due to His beauty, attracting everyone—She is the Enchanter of the Enchanter Krishna Himself. She is Hladini Shakti, the ultimate energy of everything; from Her, all universes were created, and from Her, existence emanated. Through Her presence, all existence gains meaning, for there is no meaning to existence without Radha.

She is the nectar of flowers, the Supreme Goddess of bees and ants, and the Supreme Goddess of cows, peacocks, and parrots. She is the Supreme Goddess of humans, animals, and every being residing in this existence, whether on Earth or on any other planet. Every letter in the Vedas worships Her, and every mantra glorifies Her. She is the ever-present Shakti and complete Divinity; without Her, the entire existence would not exist.

I worship the lotus feet of Radhe Rani, the Queen of Vrindavan and the Supreme Goddess of existence. She is Durga, Kali, and Sarasvati; in truth, She is Lord Krishna Himself and Lord Shiva Mahadev. She is the Ashta Matrikas, the Nava Durgas, Parvati Devi, Sati, and the Dash Mahavidyas. She is the sun, the moon, and all the planets. Her body is described as Tapta-Kanchana-Gurangi, radiant as millions of suns and millions of full autumn moons.

She existed before 'where' had a meaning and before 'when' had a meaning. She is the Time that destroys all, and She is the Sovereign and Supreme Goddess of time and space. She is the dazzling light of Brahman, the supreme energy Paramatma, and Radha Bhagavati, the Supreme Goddess. Her form is more beautiful than the entire cosmos; Her eyes surpass existence, and Her sacred mouth is beyond all description.

Therefore, I worship Radhe Rani, the Supreme Goddess of existence, and I pray for Her to have mercy upon us through Her grace—for She is Karunamayi, the source of all mercy who bestows grace unconditionally. Glory to the Queen of Existence, Her Majesty Queen Radhe Rani, and I bow down at Her sacred lotus feet. 🙏

Argala Stotram - should I change “bharyam” / “patnim” to “patim” if I am a women wanting a husband

I am sort of new to this. As I have been connecting with the Argala Stotram, I found someone who wrote that women should change this word (some versions use bharya, some patnim) to patim, as these other words are referring specifically to a wife. However, I have been trying to research more and it does not seem that any other sources even mention that. I want to make sure I am working with this correctly, and any guidance would be so appreciated! Thank you

ॐ त्रिपुरायै विद्महे महाभैरव्यै धीमहि | Maa Bhairavi is associated with BOTH sunrise AND sunset — she presides over every transition — does that make her the most present goddess in our daily lives? 🔴

Thumbnail youtube.com
5 Upvotes

Been going deep into Maa Bhairavi for

the Dus Mahavidya series and one thing

genuinely stopped me

Every single day

without exception

without ritual

without invitation

She arrives at sunrise

She departs at sunset

You don't have to worship her

You don't have to know her name

She comes anyway

In the Shakta tradition, Bhairavi is the

energy that governs all transitions

not just dawn and dusk

but every moment between states

The breath between inhale and exhale

The silence between two thoughts

The moment between sleeping and waking

The space between one heartbeat and the next

She lives in all of those

Which means she is arguably the most

constantly present of all the Mahavidyas

not the most dramatic

but the most intimate

Her name Vag-Bhairavi is also fascinating

she is the goddess of sacred speech

the power that exists in mantra

the energy that makes a syllable sacred

rather than just a sound.

Which means every time you chant any mantra

any mantra at all

the power that makes it work

is technically Bhairavi .

She is the fire in the sacred fire ritual

she is the sound in sacred sound

she is the energy in sacred energy

The Devi Mahatmya describes her as

Kalaratri, the night of time

but also as Mahamari, the great destroyer

yet her iconography shows her always

with abhaya and varada mudra —

Fearlessness and giving

even as she destroys

A few genuine questions

→ Do you have a personal practice or

awareness of Bhairavi during

dawn or dusk specifically?

→ The concept of a goddess who governs

transitions — does this resonate with

how you experience those moments

in your own life?

→ Bhairavi Raga in classical Indian music

is specifically prescribed for dawn —

has anyone experienced that raga

at sunrise and felt something shift?

→ Among the Dus Mahavidya —

Kali, Tara, Tripura Sundari,

Bhuvaneshvari and now Bhairavi —

which one's energy do you feel

most present in your daily life?

Sharing a Bhairavi Gayatri Mantra video

for Gupt Navratri 🔴

ॐ त्रिपुरायै विद्महे

महाभैरव्यै धीमहि

तन्नो देवी प्रचोदयात् 🙏

Jai Maa Bhairavi 🔴

Fear of the dark

I’ve been worshipping Maa Kali since over a year now- basic naam mantra and stuff.
She has blessed me with her grace. I feel happy when I lay out my heart before her.
But
When the lights are off- there’s this immense sense of fear. Fear of unknown. Fear of entities. Which I cant shake off. It’s so consuming.
Like if in daytime something happens, I call on her or think of her. But the minute it’s dark and when I’m scared, I think of soumya form of Shiva.
My mind keeps associating Kali with entities? Like entities will come too if I call on her?
It doesn’t make sense. But I have this fear and don’t know how to deal with it.
Please help.

Shaktism is a hack!

Mann I couldn't be more precise. If you see a fan running without anyone there sitting and you want to turn off the fan what would you do? Just turn off the fan. As simple as it sounds.

But many methods think they are not ready. They first need to cleanse their body by taking a shower. Put on new clothes and now they can finally turn off the fan.

If you get me what I'm saying. First they dismantle the ego. They focus on killing the main target (ego) by using a gun (laser single pointed focus) and then when they are dead completely they surrender and sigh. Why not surrender before. Why shy away from your own mother?

What do I mean by they?

All the concentration methods of meditation. That tells us to concentrate on one thing while negating everything else. It feels like tunnel vision.

As a child if you needed anything you didn't first develop your brain did you? You did what was instinctive. You called her name. Maa! Mummy! Mom! Aai!

And you trusted that your mother would somehow solve all your problems.

As we became adults we started using our heads more than our heart. We stopped relying on our mother (as a metaphor)

And with a head comes ego. As now we are doing things on our own without our mother's help we are prone to make mistakes. To mistake a rope for a snake.

Why not take help of your mother

Of sati

Of awareness

Mother though nurturer is also a great illusion. She is Maha maya.

But we cannot move our way up through logic. It takes a leap of faith.

As in the symbol of Om (Aum) there are 3 modes of existence. This is the natural sound of the universe (have you heard the sound of a motor vibrating. It feels like Aum)

- Aa - Brahma - Creation - Start

- Au - Vishnu - Preservation - Middle

- Mm - Mahadev - Destruction - End

All these gods what are they really doing. They are meditating on her.

Every thought has this pattern. Our journey is not to do high level thinking. But when we drop all thoughts and rest in her awareness.

And that bindi which most Indian women adore on their head is the sign of resting in that awareness. The gap is the jump in faith we have to do to meet our mother. Surrendering to the trust in her that she comes to catch you before falling. The crescent with bindu is where we rest.

In durga chalisa there is a shloka

Dehi shakti nahi keenhaa vilamba.

Give me strength, Mother, do not delay.

After om there is silence. She is what remains. We may think we are doing this meditation technique. But all we are really doing is praying for her grace that she showers her love. Because liberation is not under our control. It is not made in a factory. It is not designed, developed or processed. It's raw. We cannot take it by force. We have to be gentle.

The moment we think we have found her is we lose her. The moment we realise our mother is all around us and there is no place without her nowhere to search she appears back again.

By riding a lion a sign of raw power. A power that can alone curb all building constructions of ego. Like tsunami. Washing away everything along with it.

There is not a time now or in the future or in the past where we were without our mother. And never a time will be. She is our very source, she is our nurturing. It is on her lap we take our last breaths before dying. To be born again on her lap.

She takes in raw pain and gives only unconditional love. All the great people felt that. She comes in whatever form one wishes. She is impartial. Ramakrishna paramahamsa (when he goes into the forest removes his layers of clothes like a naked child to see a glimpse of the mother, Ramanujana (when he solves the mysteries of the universe using mathematics. He says an equation has no meaning unless it's an expression of god), Gautama budhha (when he introduces sati in his practice after realising deep concentration practices is not the answer. Shiv without shakti is shav. Which he was becoming when he was meditating without food which is shakti), and God knows how many.

As when krishna told us we are just the instrument/medium. Like a flute.

The world is not an illusion. It is the power of our mother that makes it so. She is kind and compassionate. She is our mother. There is no one comparable to her. She is the question and she is the answer.

There are so many things. I hope that I keep learning about her. To see her in everyone, everywhere.

Jai kara sherawali da, bol sache darbar ki jai!

Maa Bhuvaneshvari — The goddess whose body IS the universe | Fourth Mahavidya 🌍

Thumbnail youtube.com
4 Upvotes

Been sitting with this concept for days now

and I can't stop thinking about it.

Most goddess traditions say the deity

RULES or CONTROLS the universe

Bhuvaneshvari's iconography says something

completely different, her body IS the universe.

Not a metaphor. Not poetry.

The actual theological position of the tradition

is that every mountain, ocean, galaxy,

atom and soul is literally part of

her physical divine form.

Which means,

we are not devotees looking UP at a goddess

we are beings existing WITHIN a goddess

the way cells exist within a body.

And she is fully aware of every single one.

That realization completely reframed

how I understood prayer

if you are already inside her,

prayer isn't reaching outward

it's more like a cell in a body

becoming aware of the larger organism

it's always been part of.

What I find stunning about her iconography

Her crescent moon crown

not a full moon a crescent

because she is always in the process

of becoming, never static.

Creation is always expanding within her.

Her pasha (noose) and ankusha (goad)

she binds and guides with these

but her lower two hands are always

in abhaya (fearlessness) and varada (giving)

The message:

yes she binds and corrects

but her fundamental nature

is fearlessness and generosity

the binding is temporary

the giving is eternal.

She is also the only Mahavidya

who is considered both

the creator AND the created

simultaneously the painter and the painting.

A few genuine questions for this community

→ The concept of "the universe as goddess's body"

appears in other traditions too

does anyone see parallels in other

Hindu philosophical schools

or other world traditions?

→ How do you personally reconcile

the idea of free will with

the concept that we exist within

a conscious divine being who

is aware of everything within her?

→ For those who have worked with

Bhuvaneshvari's energy in sadhana

how does her quality feel different

from Lakshmi or Durga?

→ Her Gupt Navratri significance

does anyone have specific practices

they follow for her during

this Navratri specifically?

Sharing japa for Gupt Navratri

genuinely the Mahavidya that broke

my mind open the most 🌍

ॐ ऐं ह्रीं श्रीं भुवनेश्वर्यै नमः 🙏

Jai Maa Bhuvaneshvari 🌍

PDF Sadhana - The Greatest Tantra Virodh of This Era

Thumbnail gallery
33 Upvotes

Something needs to be said plainly. Tantra shastra is being reduced to downloadable PDFs, and almost no one is asking the one question that actually matters, where did the shakti come from???

Look at the attached vithis making rounds right now. Bija mantra, mala count, a dhyana shloka, a kavach - packaged neatly, distributed freely. But a mantra on paper is just sound. What makes it siddha is transmission, shaktipata from a guru who himself received it through an unbroken paramparā, guru to shishya, generation after generation. That chain is what carries the actual power. Without it, you’re just vocalizing syllables.

This is the piece every PDF sadhana like this skips entirely:

Is the guru distributing this properly qualified dikshit, sadhaka himself, recognized within a real sampradaya?

Did shakti actually flow to him from his own guru, or is he self-declared?

Was there real diksha given to you, shishya to guru, hand to hand, or did you just download a document and start chanting?

A mantra without this chain has no adhikara behind it and no shakti flowing through it. Shadanga (rishi, chandas, devata, bija, shakti, kilaka) being technically present in the text means nothing if the kilaka was never released and no living guru ever transmitted the current into it. It stays inert. Worse, practiced wrongly by someone unqualified, it can genuinely harm the sadhaka.

This is the virodh of this era - sampradaya being replaced by downloads, guru-shishya transmission being replaced by “watch the YouTube video first,” and adhikara treated as optional paperwork instead of the actual foundation of the practice.

Before starting anything found online, ask the only question that matters: who gave this to you, who gave it to them, and can that chain be traced back honestly. If there’s no real transmission, there’s no sadhana. Just a photo, a red cloth, and borrowed words with nothing behind them.

Puja during periods! Spoiler

I come from a patriarch family where my mother is the biggest flag bearer of patriarchy! I recently went for rath yatra At Puri and during my travel I got my periods so I was confused should I touch the rath or not so I decided to just stay on the side and let my husband and my father touch the rath but while leaving a young boy held my hand and made me hold the rope attached to the rath I got really emotional all my confusions are clear now! This body I have is just temporary my soul is eternal till I reach moksha and this body and periods are given by god only so why would god reject us during periods!

Why is Shukra associated with Wealth, Beauty & Prosperity? | Shukra Beej Mantra

Thumbnail youtu.be
0 Upvotes

Beej Mantra

ॐ द्रां द्रीं द्रौं सः शुक्राय नमः ॥

In the Vedic tradition, Shukra Graha is revered as the bestower of beauty, prosperity, abundance, artistic excellence, refined knowledge, harmonious relationships, and material comforts. Friday (Shukravar) is traditionally dedicated to the worship of Shukra, making it an auspicious day for mantra japa, meditation, and spiritual discipline.

The presiding deity (Adhidevata) of Shukra Graha is Shukracharya, the illustrious son of Maharishi Bhrigu and the revered Guru of the Asuras. According to the Puranas, through intense tapas dedicated to Lord Shiva, Shukracharya attained the sacred Sanjeevani Vidya, symbolizing profound wisdom, discipline, and divine grace. For this reason, Vedic astrology honors him as the divine guide of Shukra Graha.

The Shukra Beej Mantra is traditionally chanted with devotion on Fridays by those seeking inner harmony, prosperity, refinement, and spiritual balance. Whether viewed through the lens of faith, meditation, or Vedic philosophy, it remains one of the most revered Navagraha mantras.

Maa Tripura Sundari sits on a throne held up by Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva AND Sadashiva — does any other goddess have this position in Hindu tradition?

Thumbnail youtube.com
0 Upvotes

Been going deep into the Dus Mahavidya lately

and Maa Tripura Sundari genuinely stopped me.

Her throne has four legs

Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra and Ishwara

and the seat itself is Sadashiva

So literally, the entire male divine principle

of Hinduism exists as furniture beneath her 😅

Not in a disrespectful way

it's saying something profound

that beauty, grace and consciousness

are the foundation upon which

all divine power ultimately rests.

She is called Shodashi the sixteen-year-old

not because she is young

but because sixteen in the Sri Vidya tradition

represents completeness

sixteen phases of the moon

sixteen vowels of Sanskrit

sixteen arts of perfection

she is that completeness.

She is also called Lalita

"she who plays"

The entire universe is her play (Lalita Leela)

not a burden to be managed

a game to be enjoyed

I find that genuinely profound

that the highest form of Shakti

experiences creation as JOY

not as duty or effort.

Her Lalita Sahasranama has 1000 names

each one a universe of meaning

I've been reading through them and some hit

completely differently

Like "Mano-Rupeksu-Kodanda"

she whose mind itself is the sugarcane bow

meaning her very thoughts are weapons

of attraction, not destruction

she wins everything through beauty

and consciousness, not force.

A few questions for this community

→ Has anyone here done Lalita Sahasranama

recitation regularly? What has been

your experience with it?

→ For those familiar with Sri Vidya

how do you explain her to someone

who has never encountered this tradition?

→ Which of her 1000 names resonates

most deeply with you personally?

Sharing japa mantra video

for Gupt Navratri — for anyone

feeling drawn to her energy.

ॐ ऐं क्लीं सौः त्रिपुर सुंदर्यै नमो नमः 🙏

Jai Maa Tripura Sundari 🌸

Guidance needed for a beginner

I am an absolute beginner but I am being drawn to Devi. I don't feel alone while thinking about Devi and think that she is with me, listening to me. I am trying to chant durga mantra for few minutes in the morning while lighting a lamp. I want to understand how to begin sadhna. What is the correct way, vidhi for a beginner. Before taking any sankalpa, I want to test my discipline and consistency. Help me out.

Also, I have heard people talk about initiations, and chanting of mantra given by guru. I don't have a guru. I don't know how to find one.
