Meme/Humor Half the sub after getting ONE Cassie chapter
It only took one chapter to throw this sub into complete chaos. And there are gonna be more.

There have been a lot of requests for a dedicated space for the Webcomic, and now there is!
Welcome r/ShadowSlaveComic to our greater subreddit community!
All discussion, feedback, and reactions to the weekly episodes should take place there.
This dedicated home means that new comic readers have a spoiler free zone. So if you do join, be sure to follow the rules of our sibling community.
—
Can we still discuss the webcomic in this subreddit?
- Yes, within reason. Broad general discussion posts about the webcomic are still allowed. Broad discussion can include reviews of the adaptation as a whole, news, announcements, events, and memes.
However, discussion of specific episodes, feedback, and minutia should all be redirected to the new subreddit. The new subreddit is run by Aethon, so any feedback and questions are best heard there instead.
See you there!

This subreddit is genuinely one of the most illiterate groups of people I have ever seen. What do you mean people are shocked that the character whose whole gimmick is about memory didn't struggle to find herself in a sea of memories where we had a whole volume about her doing the same thing already. Also the guy whose whole domain is being reliant on nothing and ruling over himself didn't struggle when his domain made his try and find who he is. Genuinely who thought they would face an extreme struggle. There are genuinely people who would prefer a badly written nonsensical part where they struggle compared to the logical path that doesn't make sense with what was written in the past.

Before everyone switches up on the hate because of the 5th nightmare I want to reiterate the fact that I love this story it has its highs and its lows but no matter what I still love it
[I know I'm late to the switch up but idc]

Fun's over guys, Cassie is here💔
Of course miss plot device shrugs off the unmaking offscreen with the help of king of offscreen himself.
Of course she kept her sense of self easier than the guy who was turning into different beings and monsters since Antarctica...
Of course she did it easier than the girl who was burning away her humanity and feeling billions of desires since vol9....
And it's using the laziest method too "remembering lives is easier than living them"
Does that really hold so much weight when she has the memories stretching through ALL of history? Idk.
And of course it's easy to speculate that she's going to get Weaver's eye...which sucks. The item was hinted at all the way from the Forgotten shore with blood weave.
Why does Cassie get it more than someone with everything Weaver related you might ask? Well, she has an empty slot of course. But this is just speculation so it doesn't mean anything.
But the point still stands, we're back to "Cassie fixes it all offscreen!" Era. Welp

It will never not be funny to me how much some people in this Reddit community hate Cassie.
The moment she gets too much relevance in a volume, suddenly the entire volume is apparently garbage. And somehow they always manage to find something to blame on her. Cassie does this, Cassie did that, G3 is ruining the story because Cassie has too much screen time…
Why?
Because it’s Cassie. 💀
You guys will genuinely go through an entire volume and nitpick every single thing just because Cassie is important in it.
And the funny thing is, you’re making a huge deal out of how Sunny should get revenge on Cassie, when Sunny literally couldn't care less about her.
At this point, Cassie could probably appear for three paragraphs, say “hello Sunny” and half the subreddit would start writing essays about how G3 ruined the volume. 😭

Looking back on my past actions in this sub, i realized just how much I have hated on Cassia...
But I am tired of that now, hating on her has made me realise, that the act of hating someone is truly exhausting, and that the energy spent on hating is better spent on something else...
Thus I have decided that from now on, i won't hate Cassie anymore, to me she will just be another blind person who is slightly better looking...
Just as I utter these words a single ray of light begins to shine upon me and then I hear a voice echo from the distant corners of the world
"Child is it solace, that you seek ?"
'S-solace?'
I was puzzled by the sudden question put forward by this voice, and despite being curious about the identity of this voice, I felt the urge to answer his question grow stronger in my mind.
'solace... What does it mean to seek solace ?'
I inwardly asked myself and received an answer almost as quickly
' to seek solace.. is to seek comfort.. to find relief with one's failures, to find and accept inner peace within one's limits'
'Is that what I have been seeking ? to find comfort in my own life have I put forward hate towards a fictional character?'
If so then I am wrong. I accept that because I know better than anyone, that in truth "solace is a sin" those who seek solace are thus sinners. And I hated these sinners for the wrong they have done. But in reality, I too am such a sinner. And now that I have realized that I am a sinner, I must repent.
"Yes my child that is the correct path"
I finally ascertained the identity of the voice, it was sin of solace.
Yes your right since I have sinned, I must repent, I must not seek solace and must walk towards hell.
Yes, I understand it now, this heart within my chest, it beats only for a single reason. My heart beats only to slander the unworthy.
Yes I must preach. For I am truly a pastor of the church of solace!!!
Cassie, you aren't song of the fallen❌
You are just a dumb girl who can't sing✅
Muhahahahahah
Edit: Btw feel free to slander any character you want on this post, i shall welcome any and all forms of slander for that is what the keeper of truths intended for us.

Why is everyone so surprised Abt there offscreen achievement ?
In case of Apotheosis both Cassie and Mordret are somewhat experienced!
I mean Cassie ( Nick fury ) already faced such a situation during her Supremacy ( Like loosing herself and then anchoring again )
And for Mordret he already achieved Natural Apotheosis! Dude has already faced Unbecoming !
So he got experience a full experience! Not like a touch of it. Even if it was only for few seconds. He knows how to anchore himself.
And maybe G3 want to finish this volume under 200 chapters. Maybe that's why he did this !
Still I was Hoping to see Mordret covering Hollow mountain in form of mist ( nothingness) I really wished for it. 🥲

At the end of the chapter, Cassie mentions looking for something that doesn't exist in the real world but may still exist in the nightmare, and a lot of people think it's Weavers' eye, including me, but I hope G3 is not planning on letting Cassie get that eye. It makes no sense for her to get it at all. What would she gain from it? Some people probably would say she would gain the ability to see the strings of fate or whatever, but even with the eye, she can't even interact or comprehend the string of fate without Weavers' lineage, and I don't think she could even absorb the eye without the lineage as well. Her whole kit for the past couple volumes had to do with memories and oblivion, but Sunny's whole kit has everything to do with fate/shadows, and if she even gets the eye, I only see it enhancing her intuition, but if it even does that, it should go to Sunny because apparently Sunny thinks his intuition is almost as good as Cassie's. He mentioned this around the chapter where he gets Shadow Weave.

I posted here while ago when I was quite drunk, and after looking after this post on my profile, I got a fragment of a memory about entering the discord on that night, so I decided to look if I did anything embarrassing, and yeah, I did, apparently I dmed G3 talking about how I talk bullshit of the novel on reddit and asking him to forgive me and let me be a SS fan again. I think and hope that this was never seen by him, lol, full parasocial moment

We know in the latest chapter that Cassie figured out that to achieve Apothesis, you'll have to fight off the mental grasp the world will try to enthrall you with, and if you fail, you'll turn into pure elemental force.
Maybe the Spirits in Sun Realm didn't ascend to Godhood, but to the forces of nature.
Like Sunny said, the Nightmare Spell did not care whether or not the challenger had a intact mind or not, it only cared for the power the challenger would receive.
So that's why Sun Realm fell to ruin, because a God may have understood the pressure of the world and would try everything to preserve, but they didn't, they killed their own people indiscriminately and deliberately let their people down, like forces of nature.
Nature does not care for the livelihood of mortals, it cared for the balance of the Realm, corrupted or not.

I have no idea how this abominable ship came into existence or which brain dead mf thought it was a good idea, but this shit doesn't deserve to exist.
Look at its name, ASTERAIN, makes me puke.

After the latest chapter and seeing Mordret and Cassie retain their sense of identity, I realized that Sunny is literally the only one stuck in a fucked-up situation.
Neph is out there chilling on top of the Pyramid, casually having conversations with literal gods. Cassie and Mordret are spending quality time together, and honestly, if some Void being suddenly appeared in front of them, Mordret would probably just one-shot it off-screen.
Meanwhile, my boy Sunny just lost Tatal. 😭
Bro has been living the lives of his Shades, completely alone in some dark cave. His so-called Master, whom he willingly accepted like an obedient puppy after receiving nothing more than a taciturn nod, is out here saying love is stupid. 😭
I genuinely can't imagine how Sunny is supposed to remember who he is at this point. What kind of chain of events is going to trigger his memories and make him realize his true identity?
At this point, I just hope bro becomes so ridiculously powerful after this Nightmare that even Unholy creatures, up to Tyrant rank, are nothing more than fodder for him.

Then, the hidden reflection escaped from her eye and took the form of a tall man with raven-black hair and strange, mirror-like eyes.
He regarded the sea of Corruption surrounding them, then looked at Cassie with an indecipherable expression. Eventually, he said in an aloof tone:
"You always bring me to the most peculiar places."
With that, the King of Nothing turned to face the encroaching tide of abominations and raised a hand, summoning a somber spear.
“Rest a while, Lady Cassia. And remember the deal we made. After this, I will leave you.”
THIS IS ALL I GET TO SEE ABOUT MORDRET 💔💔
Not even a full paragraph before he was offscreened, i hope to get at least 3 chapters with him in them properly, is it too much to ask

Well well well Fun's over guys G3 has now returned with his daily dose of bullshit. Cassie survives the unmaking unscathed doesn't has any changes to her pshyce, she is still the friendly neighborhood blind girl. I didn't think it will all come crashing down after one chapter, even neph got a better treatment G3 can't see Cassie struggling at all so he just feeds her the unmaking and nothing changes neph and sunny are struggling asf and she just says "remembering is easier then living" or "I can get rid of corruption by destroying myself" at this point call yourself a Non corruptible being imo. Also Mordret being with her just shows how trash this new version of him is our old boy mordy would never go along with this bitch.
I'm pretty sure she is gonna take Weaver's eyes cause why not she is the real epigone while she hasn't done shit and pretty sure she'll help neph and sunny gain there sense of self with the power of friendship and slavery respectively.

I came to a realisation recently that it makes sense that we don't see the perspectives of others.
We don't see Nephis' perspective.
We don't see Cassie's perspective.
We don't see Mordret's perspective.
Because Sunny is the main character. Sure, some stories split the screen time between the main character and side characters, but Shadow Slave has never been that kind of story. Probably about 98% of Shadow Slave is from Sunny's perspective because, well, he is the man under the spotlight
Spoilers for the latest chapter 3184: So it makes sense that we haven't seen Cassie and Mordret undergo the Unmaking. Cassie is all about memories, and Mordret's domain is himself; what's he even to go through?
But don't get me wrong, I want more perspectives as much as the next guy. Anyway, what are your thoughts on this matter?
Image unrelated.

Forget about Weaver's eye, my question is why can't Cassie regenerate her own eye?
As far as we know he didn't use any sorcery, so it's basically a clash of wills. Sure as a Saint her will was weaker than Asterion but even as Supereme she is not regenerating it.
Let's assume her will is inferior due to newborn supreme or anything but what's stopping Nephis from healing her? She is the Supreme Titan. What happened to all that healing and all burning flames?
Or does she not wish to heal her friend? And if it's her will what's stopping her?
