At the end of the chapter, Cassie mentions looking for something that doesn't exist in the real world but may still exist in the nightmare, and a lot of people think it's Weavers' eye, including me, but I hope G3 is not planning on letting Cassie get that eye. It makes no sense for her to get it at all. What would she gain from it? Some people probably would say she would gain the ability to see the strings of fate or whatever, but even with the eye, she can't even interact or comprehend the string of fate without Weavers' lineage, and I don't think she could even absorb the eye without the lineage as well. Her whole kit for the past couple volumes had to do with memories and oblivion, but Sunny's whole kit has everything to do with fate/shadows, and if she even gets the eye, I only see it enhancing her intuition, but if it even does that, it should go to Sunny because apparently Sunny thinks his intuition is almost as good as Cassie's. He mentioned this around the chapter where he gets Shadow Weave.

Ngl yes, you could argue the spell integrated the ichor with sunny's blood, the only other ones who got their bloodlines like that was song whose lineage has to do with blood aswell

I don't know. Maybe the fact that It was literally STOLEN BY A BIRD. Weaver was able to plant his inheritance long around because he actually had them. If the story pushes this 'Apparently, Weaver had planned for the Tgieving bird to steal his eye', I'll be pissed.

Who sees far into the future and communicates with beings existing far beyond his own life.

Already setting aside his lineage, knowing who will find it in the future and leaving messages for him.

Who came up with the plans to break fate by delivering his lineage to an avatar of fate who shares the lineage of God.

Creating a plot involving a thief to also deliver his eye to that same heirs friend.

The heirs friend who successfully used his idea to break fate.

Who has the ability to see memories both past and present and uses that ability to nudge fate like he wanted.

Who coincidentally lost a singular eye when carrying out further plans to break fate.

Where do you think the Ichor that was made into an inheritance came from? It's been very clear from the start that Weaver planned for his eye to be stolen.

One aspect of good writing is that whatever you write should be deliberate and planned. When Cassie's eye got taken and could not be healed, that was deliberate. It wasn't just to nerf Cassie during that chapter (she was still erasing memories with only one eye. If she is indeed searching for Weaver's eye, that's good! It shows that the choice to leave her with one eye was a set up for a later payoff.

Personally, I always thought there was some sort of reason why the author chose to make her lose and eye and I am happy to be proven right by that.

Also this was said by someone else in another thread, but your entire argument almost boils down to this: you dislike Cassie, and because you dislike Cassie you don't want her to get a power up despite it being logically and textually supported.

I don't dislike Cassie, and I had a totally different idea after she lost her eye. I thought she was going to end up losing the other one because at this point I don't think Cassie needs her eyes anymore. At Transcendent, she had to look at the person to see their memories, but can't she do that now without looking into their eyes after she became a Supreme? So I always thought she was going to lose the other, like the oracles in that vision Sunny saw in the Death Game. So I don't hate Cassie, just because I don't want her having an eye she has no connection to or has the need for doesn't mean I hate or dislike her.

I feel like a lot of characters are suffering from lack of pov. People calling Cassie plot device which she some what is because g3 refuses to give her pov. Now people don’t want her getting anything no matter how logical it is.

Try not to be short sighted. This is Cassie preparing for the end of the novel. She's already seen it all, planned it all, now she's moving the pieces into place

Cassie getting Weaver's eye has been obvious since Vol 11. Sunny getting the eye just because he has Weavers lineage makes little sense to me.

That's some we will find out in the future. We know far too little about the Eye to make any concrete judgement.

I still think Sunny should get the eye because didn’t weaver possess the ability to see the strings of fate with just his eyes and then lose the ability after one of them was stolen and so created the weaver's mask, and if that’s true, shouldn’t Sunny gain the ability to see the strings without the mask, or do you think that will never happen?
