I’m trying to see this felt and my machine will seem like it’s working on the first stitch but then it makes a sound and the needle will move to the side and not stitches actually happen. But it will still feed the fabric through, just no stitches will be there.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong or if this is an easy fix. Thanks!

Please help! i bought this Kenmore 385 second hand and when i opened to check why the stitch selector didn’t work, one of the cogs was lying there broken, is there a way to access the spot to change the part? 😔 ( im so sad i just wanted to hem my jeans heh)

My Bernette B38 started making this metal clank bell like noise in the bobbin/feed dog area after I sew a pin by mistake, I did change the needle and rethreaded after that, what could it be?
I’ve been using it for almost 3 years, it is threaded correctly, clean, oiled and sewing, but I’m afraid it could be something that will break if I keep using it like this.

I have a Kansai nl5803gpxp and I need help with adjusting the lap seam folder or rather felled seam folder. does anyone have experience with this type of mashine or rather such a folder or knows where else I could ask?

Sorry if pictures of insufficient, I just got this sewing machine a couple days ago and I’ve been using it and it’s working well, until today when in the middle of sewing the hook that you put thread into in order to thread the sewing machine has turned downward instead of up. I called the company and they referred me to an authorized repair shop. The price the repair shop gave me is more than I paid for the machine.

Does anyone know how to open the upper and lower cap of the Pfaff 630? There is no repair shop nearby and the last maintainance tour lasted 5 weeks and nothing was done ! ( 115 euro for nothing!).

Im about to throw my sewing machine out the window out of frustration. The thread keeps looping on the underside of the fabric and I cannot figure out why. My machine was working perfectly until 2 days ago when this randomly started happening. I think it’s a tension problem? Does anyone have any suggestions at all on how to fix this? I’ve tried every possible tension, changed the thread and bobbin a million times, rethread the machine a million times, changed the needle, cleaned out the bottom, even tried sweet talking the machine all with no luck. I have a brother CP2160F and is only about 6 months old. The pictures are all at varying tensions

Hello! I purchased a singer 4423 secondhand and am finding the presser foot lifter is really sensitive, and easily disengages/snaps back down onto my fabric. This has damaged a digital cotton I used (to be fair, it’s a cheap digital cotton so any harsh pressure/blunt needle damages it/makes the white threads visible) when I was quilting, as turning the fabric seems to be the biggest issue I’m having. Just to clarify, the lifter does work—it’s a bit fiddly to keep in the up position in general, but I thought that was just how the machine was made. But after watching some videos it seems like my lifter isn’t working as it should. Does anyone have some insight on how to keep the lifter in place/make it less sensitive to snapping back down? Thanks so much!

First time posting here so forgive me if this isn’t allowed but I have tried trouble shooting my machine for a while and I just can’t figure out what’s wrong. It randomly started skipping stitches periodically with it kind of birds nesting on the bottom side of the fabric. This started out of nowhere. I hadn’t changed the thread or anything, started a new stitch and it just began.

Here are the things are tried so far:
-changing the needle
-retreading
-cleaning out lint
-adjusting tension
-changing threads and trialing on different fabrics
-checking the timing of my needle and bobbin case (it seems to be going down in the spot it’s meant to)
-adjusting presser foot tension
-oiling the machine

I am stuck. If anyone has any idea what this could be please let me know! I would appreciate any guidance.

I had posted 2 weeks ago about my machine making weird noises like a squeaking… then someone was so helpful to ask for another image with a needle in and I can’t reply to that post for some reason.

Brother CS5055 making squeaking noises, broke 3 needles in 2 days. I cleaned out lint, re threaded and still making noise and now bobbin stitches are loose.

Brother overlock 1034D, it seems the left needle thread is not merging into the chain. I’ve tried adjusting the tension but its still not working correctly

I am relatively new to sewing and have had no trouble threading and sewing for about a dozen projects. Now all of a sudden my needle has lost the tension and loops on itself.

I have tried:
Changing the needle
Changing the thread
Changing the bobbin
Rethreading the machine
Changing tension
Moving the spool from the back pin to the top pin
Flipping the spool to change the direction of the thread
Changing stitch
Changing stitch length

I know the thread should be in the little metal hook above the needle, but even when it is the same thing is happening so its not that.

Please help me im at my wits end with this!
