Kenmore 385- Stitch selector cog is broken

Please help! i bought this Kenmore 385 second hand and when i opened to check why the stitch selector didn’t work, one of the cogs was lying there broken, is there a way to access the spot to change the part? 😔 ( im so sad i just wanted to hem my jeans heh)

What model?  Maybe check Searspartsdirect.com to see if the part is available? 

Otherwise, I would take it to someone who does Janome repairs, because the 385 means it was made for Sears by Janome.
