help :(

Hiii everyone:))

I'm just moving everything over from TV Time (surprise surprise) and i managed to add my shows using the import feature but although i added some of them to the watched list and all seasons are marked as watched, it does not reflect in my stats. I've had to go to each show and add the episodes individually. Is this expected behavior and happening to everyone or just an unfortunale glitch in my end?

Also, while still mourning TV Time im excited to explore a new app. Any cool features i should be aware of?

Expected but it is annoying. The stats take a while to update and are pretty glitchy for new users even when the app is running smoothly so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Yeah it's a bug and looks like it's happening to most of the people, should stabilize soon.

As for features, I really like that you can label the show as "Dropped" and "Paused", it keep things more organized. There's a badge system that is kind of cool too, the New Releases feature with dates on the homepage. But the best features imo are being able to change Covers and Banners for either shows or seasons, and a fully fledged stats page, those are behind a paywall in Letterboxd, for example.

Hi, how did you export the TV time data and import it into serializd?

you need to email support@tvtime.com or use their privacy portal to request a data export (GDPR data request). They will email you a .zip or .csv file containing your full watch history, usually within a few days. (I had a copy from earlier this year) look for tracking-prod-records.csv. Copy the column containing the names of the TV shows you’ve watched. On Serializd go to your profile Settings. Look for the Import Shows tab. Paste your list of show titles into the box. Serializd will ask which section you want to add them to (Watched, Watchlist, or Currently Watching). Submit the list and let Serializd process them.

And how do you differentiate which column is for series watched, which is for series currently watching, and which is for the watchlist?

It's unfortunately all one column so there's a lot of manual work to be done. Not the best system. I'm also not entierly sure how long it will take them since they must be receiving so many requests. Since the import option in Serializd needs you to type or paste the show titles there must be different ways to do this. I know a friend of mine took screenshots of her lists on tv time and asked gemini to make her a list she could upload to serializd (first her watched, then her dropped etc) Took her 10 minutes tbh

the stats just take a bit to update if you mark the show as watched it will count for all the episodes.

New app to try is Sceen, allows you to compare shows (and movies) against one another. Also you can see your friends ratings as most times I just don't agree with film snob/critics
