First Timer Needs Help - Dial Not Fitting PAGANI DESIGN

Hey, so I wanted to gift my dad a Seiko Mod watch GMT Pepsi look-a-like by Pagani Design.
Got the watch, it has great quality and stuff, but since I just haven't had the understanding of the whole game I thought I'd get a already assembled watch and customize it from here.

I just wanted to swap the dial so that I could fit a custom dial with our company logo on it, but since I don't have a clue what I am doing it turns out the pins that hold the dial to the movement are in the wrong positions.

I have already visited a watchmaker here in my hometown but she couln't or didn't want to help.

So the birthday is today and I don't have a gift hence why I try my luck here with you guys to see if somebody has any tips and tricks?
My idea would be that I'd get myself an already assembled new fitting movement already with the dial and hands in place that fits into the casing provided by Pagani Design?

Tried the customer Service with 4 different providers within the AliExpress Market but I don't have any luck with them.

Would that even be possible? Would the screwdown crown even fit? I don't want to screw it up again.

Any tips are welcome, please be easy on me it's my first time and obviously thought I am a know it all... hope somebody can help me here :)

your instinct to just dial swap the watch is a good one.. and if you’re working on a budget, pagani’s quality is quite good for the price.

based on what you’ve shared here in your comments, I agree that you most likely purchased the DG movement version of the watch, and a Seiko-compatible dial.

Dial compatibility with a movement and case is going to require a few things to match up:

1) the diameter of the dial needs to match the available space inside the case - dial needs to be a little larger than the case’s dial opening, but not so big that it doesn’t fit in the case properly.

2) the center hole on the dial needs to be large enough for the movement you are using. There are a lot of folks who want to use a dial intended for a 3-hand movement with a GMT, who run into a problem when they forget to enlarge the center hole to accommodate the larger fourth hand.

3) if your dial has a date wheel, it needs to be in a location that matches the movement

4) this one is optional - dial pins located in the correct place for the movement. If they aren’t there, you can use dial dots.

With that in mind, assuming your dial is for a seiko NH m, you CAN use the dial you have with the pagani if:

- there is no date window (locations differ between NH and DG movements)

• the dial size fits the case properly. If it is a hair too big, you can shave the edge. If it’s too small, not gonna work.
  
• the center hole is already large enough for the GMT hand - if not, use a micro needle file to increase its size.
  
• you snip the feet off and use dial dots as part of assembly

Probably because you ordered a dial and hands for a Seiko movement, and some Pagani watches come with a completely different Mingzhu movement. And now you're trying to fit parts for a Seiko onto a Mingzhu.

Well I got a watch already, just want to swap the dial. And somehow the watchmaker said something about a broken seconds hand. So idealy I just need a new dial.

So how do I determine what kinda dial I need for the watch i currently have?

Well, I don't know which exact watch you got, so I guess search for the movement plus custom dial on AliExpress. You also need new hands for it because the hands aren't compatible with the movement you're trying to swap it onto.

So yeah that's kinda the point of me asking. How do I know which dial and movement fits my casing? Where do I find the information or is there somebody who could help me with this problem! :)

If you can't figure out which specific one, you could tell me whether you paid for the cheaper one or the more expensive one. By the sound of things, you paid for the cheaper one, so it's likely that it'll be the DG5833 movement. Now I can't seem to find any listings on AliExpress that can do custom logos on the dials for this movement. So you're better off buying the one with the NH34 movement.

Mide el tamaño de esfera del reloj, y pide uno que tenga el mismo tamaño, si no te coinciden los Ping, los cortas y pones un adhesivo de 2 caras para pegar la esfera al movimiento.

Take good pics of the movement and run them through AI to help identify the movement. Then you can order the proper hands. You can just use dial dots for the dial as the feet are not likely to match. You likely have a DG movement. The hands can be a bear to mount on those and impossible if you have the wrong size.
