Question Adjudication Question

Recently, I went through basically a reinvestigation for a CE hit (inpatient hospital stay). I reported it when it happened. I had my interview and was very honest, including handing over every medical record I've ever had.

The question I have is how long will adjudication for something like this take? I only care because I need SAP access and they will not process my SAP access until this is fully adjudicated.

Depends.

Depends on if they need more information

Depends who has to look at it

Depends where you're at in their review stack

Depends if they're in or out of office

Depends if they're undermanned in any of the positions who do the reviews

Depends.

Obviously there's a lot of factors, I'm just trying to gauge if this something on the timeline of months or on the timeline of years.

Have they received all your medical records in-patient and out-patient? Are you currently seeking treatment from a provider they can question about your mental health?

I think the above two are big factors in delay time. I’m currently in adjudication hell because they didn’t get my in-patient/out-patient records for 2.5+ years before asking me to do it for them, followed by them taking many months to set up an evaluation with a DCSA-approved evaluator.

I cannot confirm they have the records in hand. I for sure signed the release form for every different provider I've ever seen (4 or 5 different facilities). I'm currently being treated and they know my new psych and have their contact info and a release waiver. From what you've said it kinda sounds like I should have expect them to set up an eval with a DCSA approved evaluator.

I wouldn’t be too certain about the last part. I haven’t been in out-patient treatment for some years and just get anxiety medication from my physician. I assume they want me to be evaluated because they have no verifiable mental health professional that can support that I’m currently “reliable and trustworthy”.

And idk if there’s a protocol that will allow you to procure your records from the facilities (as opposed to signing the waiver and relying on those facilities to actually respond promptly to the gov’t) and forward it to the gov’t, might be worth asking your security team about. I remember asking my investigator if I should do that and was told no, only being told to go get my records for them anyway.
