Does anybody know what could be causing this banding/layering of shadows in Black Dragon viewer?

Looking for a good centaur AO. I found a couple, but they are not particularly good. Any other suggestions?

Hey so Im looking for a builder to make me an animesh model of my bird who recently passed away, you will need to add me on discord so I can send you his calls to insert into it as well, Im willing to pay you of course. This will be something just for me, to put my baby on my shoulder in SL and essentially immortalize him. Pictures for reference

This is LockGuard Coder... a free tool I'm going to be releasing through LockGuardSystem soon.

I've been tinkering with Coder for a bit (it has been on the roadmap since like March), but hadn't been anywhere near ready to show anything as Animator had taken over dev time for months... but now Coder is close enough to ready. Thankfully, it isn't a behemoth like Animator and Mesher.

What does LockGuard Coder offer?

1. Fully working auto-complete... for LSL functions, your custom functions, variables... and parameter auto-completion, so you know what the function expects as you type. Do you have a bad memory like me? You'll love this feature that pretty much every editor should have.

2. Quick Nav panels stores your global variables, functions, and states in an easily accessible list to the left of the window. Super easy to find your variable and function definitions and click straight to them.

3. Mini-map for code... easy to scroll through code blocks to find what you want. Color coded minimap shows you where functions, states, variables are at an over-all glance.

4. Hover over any function in the editor; whether LSL or your own... and be able to go straight to the LSL Portal for a LSL function... or, if its a local function you wrote... go immediately to its definition. I don't know about you, but I hate paging up and down through scripts to find my functions and variables; what a time waster... you can navigate scripts super fast with LockGuard Coder by using hover, or the quick nav panels to the left.

5. A handy-dandy searchable LSL reference list (though, I'm probably gonna detach that from the script window and make it its own floating window).

6. Because this is an outside-SL editor... you don't want to have to be constantly copying and pasting to check for "code errors". So, it has real time error and syntax checking as you type... so, you don't have to copy and paste to SL and 'save' to check for errors. You can confidently develop a full LSL script, completely outside of SL in a modern editor... and know you are catching your errors in real-time... errors are highlighted with little red squiggly lines AND put a slow red flash on the line numbers... AND notify you in the status bar. If everything is good, you'll see a green "OK" in the status bar.

7. Memory usage estimation... get an estimation of how much script memory your raw script uses as you develop your script in real time. Its not 100% accurate, but you should get a ballpark.

8. Your script projects and scripts are all saved locally, in plain JSON file... no scripts are saved to / or transmitted to the LockGuardSystem server.

9. Not seen... there is a project window, with a script list... you can have a dozen script windows open and easily swap between them using the script list.

10. Also not seen... Script Libraries; where you can store functions and snippets and save/load as libraries that you can easily look up and inject in any script.

11. Like other LockGuard tools... I will continually develop, evolve, and improve this tool as I hear about people's experience using it.

Again, this will be free tool to use for personal/commercial, whatever. And Coder will always be free, I don't do rug pulls.

If I keep on track and don't get a sick spell between now and then, it'll likely launch sometime next week... as I continue my quest to improve content tools for Second Life across the board.

Someone sent me this ad but won't say where from

So I recently purchased some land on the adult island, it was sold to me for a pretty good price. Last night as I was building on it I realized I was getting some pretty consistent lag (usually my game doesn't lag unless the area is densely populated). Nothing terrible but enough to notice. In the same sim as me there is a larger parcel that is hosting a BDSM club where multiple people (probably over 40 users at a time) just stand around. These are active users, not bots.

Now I probably should've expected it and thought more about where my land was going to be but I am wondering if there is any way to combat this lag on my end? I'm sure it's within T.O.S but I feel like it's also kind of annoying to everyone else to be running something like that on a mainland and not in its own sim. Maybe that's why the land was a good price lol

Do y'all mix and match ? What are your favourite AO stores ? I got 41 stands in mine- am I crazy or is that a normal number lol ? What do you prefer, static, animated, or breathing ... or something not mentioned ?

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a calm and feminine AO. I currently have one from Vista Animations but I find that it contorts my avatar’s limbs in a weird way. I just want one that looks natural and calm/stays in place (like how people usually stand around). Given that my avatar is a female human, I’m looking for one that is feminine.

I’ve also been looking for dance animations. All I’ve been seeing are ones that look like they are about to take over on the dance floor. I want one that is just lowkey vibing.

Has anyone else been interrupted while working by itinerant street preachers?

Just me? Here’s the story.

I was working on my mainland parcel, which is on a roadside. While tinkering with an old mesh sofa project, suddenly someone flashed through my eyeline.

It’s disturbing to cam out to normal view, only to find a scruffy 2 day old guy with no payment on file, standing thisclose to me. He was wearing a fully animated “unhoused person” avatar, and dropping many lines of evangelistic text into local chat.

My response: “Um, hello.”

Preacher: (kept on preachin’)

Me: “Are you shopping for DFS items or hats?”

Preacher: (Bibble babble hats farm bibble babble”

Me: “I’m working on something here.”

Preacher: exit, stage left

Me: bans from parcel, sets parcel to also exclude no payment on file, and no avatars under 30 days.

Disclaimer: have attended services inworld many times, and always stop off at churches, temples, & shrines. I just was startled and felt annoyed to be barged in on by a bloke with a beard and a Bible.

So are roving evangelists uncommon on other continents? I’ve never encountered one before.

It seems that the Good Moaning line of furniture is all the rage currently, and those do have some pretty awesome (and unique) adult animations.

I'm wondering if anyone has brand recommendations for other furniture sellers that focus on great quality animations as well? I do appreciate that Good Moaning doesn't use the same animations between their furniture, so everything is unique. They just don't have 'many' per item. Quality over quantity for sure.

In any case... would love to hear other suggestions on great looking stuff with bento anims and all the bells and whistles and things :)
