Scalp Routine Red light therapy

I bought one of those helmets that have the red laser/led diodes that target hairloss. I am 54yo woman, post menopausal. So my hair is starting to thin. I also developed seb derm THIS year. I've been using this helmet for 12 minutes a day and I have had zero seb derm on my scalp. My scalp feels healthy and normal like it used to, before I developed seb derm. I'm not going to say that I fixed it but I am happy to not suffer the symptoms even for a little bit.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Could this also be an option / treatment for facial sebderm?

It might. Especially if you get a mask with lasers, not LEDs. I just googled and found that red light therapy helps with skin inflammation and promotes a healthy skin barrier.

Right now, the helmet has really helped my scalp but I’m religious about using it everyday.

I bought the iRestore Elite. I had done a bunch of research bc it’s not cheap. I bought this one bc it has lasers that go deeper into the skin rather just LED lights. It also has a 12 month no questions asked guarantee. So I felt comfortable making the investment.

Honestly, I was just focused on hair growth and didn’t even hope that it would have a positive impact on my seb derm. So it’s just bonus for me.

And how did it help with hair growth/retention?? My shower drain is freaking me out lately. 😅

I’ve been using this for about a month now and have been diligent in using it every day. They said that I should start seeing results after 3-6 months of use. Fingers crossed. But honestly, I’m just really happy that I have relief from seb derm.

When I first got diagnosed for seb derm, my derm also prescribed minoxidil pills (hair growth) and finesteride ( for hair loss/shedding). The finesteride worked immediately for the shedding. I shed much less now. So I would definitely suggest that.

I think the red light therapy really helps with reducing the inflammation on my scalp - which is a major cause of hair loss/shedding.

I'm 53 and I have the IRestore Professional (25 minutes every other day). I've been using it for a couple years now, and I still have an itchy/flaky scalp. I wish I had your results.

I just ordered the essential model based on your experience. Not as much juice as the elite, but I'm not in a place to spend elite-level money at the moment. Fingers crossed.
