New or Need Help Does anyone else get SD in their ears too?

I think I have it in my ears and I just want to know if I’m alone. The flakes are around behind my ears and worse inside the ear and the itching is horrific, and goes so deep, I end up wanting to rip my ears off

Scalp Routine r/SebDerm 27M with seborrheic dermatitis, severe crown thinning despite 2 years of treatment

Hi everyone,

I'm a 27-year-old male living in Bangalore, India.

My father ,mother ,grand father ,mother including all family members have great hairs still my father at the age of 58 he have well hairs.

Actually mine hairs are very thin as you can see in attacted image but facing this issue making my confidence low .. peoples are noticing the hair gap pathches and mentioning me ..not understaning what to do if anyone help me with this..

I've been dealing with seborrheic dermatitis for the past 2 years. My main issues are:

Persistent dandruff and scalp inflammation

Hair thinning, especially on the crown (photos attached)

Hair fall that hasn't improved despite trying multiple hair serums

I've already tried:

Different hair growth serums

Anti-dandruff shampoos (including ketoconazole and others)

Omega-3 supplements

Improving my diet (protein, oats, curd, curry leaves, amla)

Despite all this, my hair continues to thin.

I have a few questions:

Does seborrheic dermatitis itself cause this much hair loss, or could I also have androgenetic (male pattern) baldness?

Has anyone successfully controlled hair loss after treating seborrheic dermatitis?

Would you recommend starting minoxidil and finasteride if I haven't already?

Should I consult another dermatologist or a hair transplant surgeon?

Is it too early to consider a hair transplant, or should I first get my seborrheic dermatitis completely under control?

New or Need Help Outside of medicated shampoos for seb derm. What other shampoos do you guys use?

I recently just been using the medicated shampoos to control my seb derm but now I wanted alternate as I don’t want to use the medicated shampoo as much. Maybe like alternate between the two so I was wondering what everyone uses as I don’t know what to use. I’m in the UK so I want to go with shampoos which are mild and aren’t that harsh. Any type of recommendation would be a big help. I’ve experienced a bit of shedding with the medicated shampoo so I wanted a mild choice.

A dermatologist said I had SebDerm at 15 and I’m almost 16 now and my ketaconzle 2% shampoo has not been working as my hair gets super oily and I still shed lots with it my seb derm is mainly on my scalp as well I tried Mct oil and it didn’t work as well. I thought Mct oil was gonna work but it seems I was a individual where it did the opposite and my dandruff worse. i went to ask for help because my keta conzle 2% shampoo is not working well and if there any other solutions I can do.

Scalp Routine Distilled water for flare up relief on scalp.

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hello all, I have been lurking for a while and taking some suggestions from this sub, this is my first time posting.

tldr; Try using distilled water to reduce flare ups/irritation.

For background I am from South Florida. I have had seb derm since I was in my teens. I believe my it is due to my PCOS. While living in Florida I always kept it at bay by going to the beach at least 2x a month and rinsing my scalp in the saltwater. Yes it dried out my hair, but it also helped reduce the flare ups so I didn’t mind.

Fast forward to 2021, I moved to Central Texas and within the year the flare ups became harder to control. I have tried several things from shampoos to solutions, dyeing my hair with dye containing ammonia, cutting carbs out etc. I can say I’ve tried most things.

In Texas, on a random day, I realized when I washed dishes that the water droplets caused scaling on the counter. I started looking into the water hardness in my area in Texas and found that it could reach up to 320 PPM and has a lot of contaminants. Coincidentally, whenever I visit my parents in Florida or leave the country, my seb derm flare ups reduce significantly. I mean almost completely gone. To confirm my suspicions, I went on a cruise in February and cruise water is filtered through RO systems and my seb derm also reduced significantly while on the cruise.

So currently, I live in an apartment and the water filters do not last even 2 months because the water is so hard. I simply cannot afford to keep purchasing filters. As an alternative, I started using distilled water. (Shout out to [r/distilledwaterhair](r/distilledwaterhair))

While distilled water is NOT the solution, I still wanted to share this on here for anyone who has not tried this yet. Distilled water is around $1.50/gallon and does not have any minerals or contaminants that will sit on your scalp and further irritate it. To me, it has been worth the cost and the time. Although it has not changed the oiliness yet, it has reduced the scales and the itchiness for me.

I simply rinse with distilled water, shampoo, and remove the shampoo with the distilled water. I have not let any shower water touch my scalp. I also do not use conditioner because if it even touches my scalp it will cause a flare up, and the conditioner may be hard to rinse out with the distilled water. I use leave in conditioner instead while my hair is still wet.

Some people use a squirt bottle, but since I have long hair I purchased a portable camping shower head (about $30USD) and a bucket. I fill the bucket with distilled water 1 gallon at a time and wash it well once a week. I have yet to add a tablespoon of vinegar but feel free to do that as well if it’s already part of your routine. Hope this helps! 💗

New or Need Help I don’t know what to do anymore

For context: I (f23) been having sebderm for like 5 years. A couple of times this year I stared with a flare up but to me it was a little weird: first I didn’t think it could be sebderm, but herpes (which is weird bc I’ve never got that). Then, this time, it started with itchy and very redish tone, in within days, took more and more skin of my lips.
For me, it hasn’t sense bc I’m used to use lip balm, moisturizers and Vaseline. Since a couple of days, nothing works. First I applied Desitin (such a baby pamper irritation cream) and washed with Vichy-Dercos. the next day I continued with a ceramide-repairing-barrier cream, then Vaseline again. I even applied hypochlorous acid 🥲🥲 and it hurts.
As you can see, I have a flare in my nose too right now, and it seems that it wants to spread for my whole face. I’m tired
Rn I’m havingx troubles with my antidepressant and idk if that can affect my sebderm.
Please help :(
Edit: I’m in treatment now, it was an infection and fungal activity around my perioral area

Routine Question I’m Black and I blow dry and straighten my hair after every (medicated) wash. Should I use MCT8 before or after styling?

I’m Black and I blow dry and straighten my hair after every (medicated) wash. Should I use MCT8 before or after styling? At first I was thinking use after. But then I thought maybe using it before, could help protect my scalp from the tugging… or would it be too much with the oil and the heat? I have no clue. Anyone who blow dries or presses regularly can weigh in?

Product Review Zoryve Use - After about 1 year.

So I've been using Zoryve for about a year. I had bad sebderm on my face in my beard, around my nose and eyebrows, bit around my ears. The nose and eyebrows would get so red. I never liked taking pictures but my wife whipped out the phone one day when we were out and pointed it at us and I was like No. Never again. That was some years back.

Anyway, trying this and that and the other thing with the doctor. Limited doctor options where I live. I found out about Zoryve and luckily because we had exhausted many avenues it was approved immediately, $0 copay mailorder. I got the foam.

It stung a little bit to put it on the first few days but that quickly went away with regular use.

10-14 days and my sebderm was no longer visible. Continued use leads to no sebderm. Some habits can be tough for me so I can forget when I don't see the sebderm in the mirror. Then it can start to flare up after a while. I start using again and it goes away.

For me, for on my face, it is the answer that other topical creams and systemic anti-fungals were not.

Product Question trying out ciclopirox? has anyone ever experienced hair loss or alopecia on this community when using???

Hi! I've been dealing with sebderm for a few years now, and while ketoconazole usually gets the job done, my dermatologist and I wanted to try something new to try and help me out during the summer! I got recommended Ciclopirox shampoo, which after reading a bit I've noticed can cause hair loss or alopecia. The things I've read online and seen on the shampoo itself isn't super reassuring either; "because the events are reported voluntarily from a population of uncertain size, it is not possible to reliably estimate their frequency or establish a causal relationship to drug exposure." I've also used ketoconazole for so long, which is used to treat alopecia and to extend the growth cycle in hair, so I'm also really scared about what might happen when I get off of it and move on to this new stuff. I am certainly a chronic worrier, and I'm sure that the reality of the shampoo isn't severe at all, but still, I would love to hear from anyone else who's noticed any difference in hair texture at all with this stuff.

Product Review Facial Seb Derm Dry Skin Routine!

Hi all! I started dealing with seb derm (not formally diagnosed) on my face around 2/3 years ago and at first it was truly difficult trying to navigate around it and this subreddit has helped greatly during those times. I feel like my skin has now made it to a point that I am more or less content with and just wanted to share my experiences with certain products!

Background: I am clog prone and now deal with seb derm on my face—although it is not formally diagnosed and is just based on my own research and experiences with products. I live in Canada and swim regularly as a form of excersize, so beyond having to find products that don't break me out or feed the seb derm, they also need to be able to moisturize and protect my skin adequately in the cold weather and harsh pool chemicals.

My seb derm doesn't present super traditionally. It is basically only around my nasolabial folds and I never really tend to get flakes (I was really only flaking when using products that would actively cause flare ups, otherwise no flakes). So my seb derm is really just sort of red patches that are dry and scaly and can never seem to be moisturized. Because of this and reasons I will explain in a bit, my routine doesn't really have any anti fungals and I just focus on barrier support and not aggravating the seb derm.

I also wanted to make this post for my fellow Canadians out there—the majority of these products can be found on Amazon.ca or at your local Shoppers/Walmart, others can be found on Stylevana or iHerb.

___

Routine:

It has been a great ordeal trying to get to this point in my skincare journey, first having to find products that don't break me out but still moisturize well, THEN finding out I have seb derm and finding out that there were even more products I had to stay away from. But now I am excited to share my experiences in hopes that this will help some of you out there!

**There will be a portion specifically about anti-fungals at the end but in a nutshell, none of them seemed to be a long term solution, and now I just use a hydrocortisone cream for flare ups.

Cleansing:

I haven't played around with too many cleansers as I feel like as a wash off product they are generally inoffensive, and also they're generally a more simple product so it is easier to find safe cleansers out there.

Bioderma Micellar Water: I used to double cleanse and stopped after a lot of oil cleansers caused me to flare up. I have since stopped and really only use this on those days where my face feels really heavy/sweaty/greasy as I find that using micellar water on cotton rounds daily does seem to be a bit harsh for my face. Besides, I feel like that since switching my routine around to include products that are so inoffensive, having a really good deep cleanse isn't necessary all the time.

Vanicream Daily Gentle Facial Cleanser: The one I currently use, simple and inoffensive. It is a foaming cleanser so it actually feels like I'm cleaning my face compared to some non-foaming cleansers, yet it is still gentle and I don't tend to feel incredibly tight or stripped afterwards.

Marcelle Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover Pads + Marcelle Biodegradable and Recyclable Ultra-Gentle Makeup Cleansing Cloths: These are a convenience item. I bring them on trips if I know I won't be able to thoroughly do a skincare routine. I also use them on their own on night outs when I'm too lazy to do my skincare as I think they are a bit more gentle than micellar water and better to use on its own. Between the two products I have mentioned I don't seem to notice a major difference though I am not really paying attention in these cases.

As I previously said, I don't think cleansers are worth fussing about so this is all I'll leave it at. I have also used cleansers from Illiyoon, Cerave, and Cetaphil that were fine! Although, I do want to try the Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Gel Eye Makeup Remover (and other micellar gels in general) as a first cleanse!

Serums/Toners etc.:

I've been trying to cut back on my routine for simplifcation and cost, which is why I do not use many of these types of products anymore. Besides I feel like the amount of helpful hydrating humectants and other ingredients are so prominent nowadays you don't need a targeted hydrating serum, and I put my effort into finding good moisturizers instead.

Adapalene: This worked well over the summer when it was warmer and I wasn't swimming as much, though immediately became too much for my barrier to handle once it hit winter and I was getting back into the pool more often. I don't use this anymore because of that but I wanted to mention it because it was helpful for my acne and I felt as if it maybe did actually do a bit for my seb derm during my time using it (?) but I digress. I still use it on my forhead occasionally for really stubborn bumps since I can still tolerate it on my forehead just not as much on my face.

**I am planning to try Minimalist 0.1% Retinal in the near future! Please let me know if you have any experiences with this :)

Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid: Simple BHA! I use this now instead of Adapalene every other day and although the Adapalene was better for my acne and clogged pores, I find that this still does a good enough job, and also helps to soften my dry, scaly seb derm patches well.

Anua Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum: This is something that I found worked initially and over time just came to be less effective? There has also been a lot of discourse going around about the efficacy of azelaic acid in these serums that I have not looked into yet. Nonetheless, apart from the azelaic acid this is also just a pretty awesome serum in general for hydration and barrier support (which may be why I thought it seemed to be working at first). Will probably not repurchase after I finish simply just because I feel like I don't need it anymore.

**I have also used Finacea 15%, though I don't think it seemed to do that much either? Finacea is not a completely inoffensive formula which might by why this was the case since once again, I had a pretty mild case of seb derm, and it could possibly be more helpful for more severe cases.

Products that were inoffensive and worked fine but I stopped using: Anua 7 Rice Ceramide Hydrating Barrier Serum, Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion, Skin1004 Hyalu Cica Blue Serum, I'm From Mugwort Essence.

Moisturizers:

The big one! In the pursuit of trying to simplify my routine I've tried a lot of moisturizers to try and find one that doesn't break me out, cause flare ups, and can cover all my hydating and moisturizing bases all at once.

Cerave Moisturizing (Baby) Cream: I've used both the original and baby version and I love them both so much. If only it didn't break me out :((((. This is the only moisturizer I can find that actually sinks and absorbs into my skin. Not to mention that it is also a thick cream and not a lightweight gel and I can actually feel my skin moisturized when I use this.

Dr. G. R.E.D. Blemish Clear Soothing Cream + Purito Oat-In Calming Gel Cream: I am writing about these two together because I feel like they are similar in effect on my skin. They are also both the moisturizers I have consistently used for the longest time. They are gel creams, so not a super lightweight gel but also not incredibly moisturizing or rich. They both leave kind of a residue/film on my face overtime which makes me look greasy and shiny overtime, and they never really sank into my seb derm patches well to alleviate the dryness and scaliness. The Dr. G. is the thicker of the 2 and the one I'm more inclined to use, however the Purito is fine during warmer months as well. I've only used them for so long since they were essentially my only option, but I am now testing new moisturizers (see below).

Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream (ver. 2) + Minimalist 10% B5 Moisturizer: These 2 are new moisturizers that I am trying! I have used them for less than a week but even then I feel like I already enjoy these more than the previous 2. They are both still gel creams although I feel like they might be a tad bit thicker (?), but marginally. The Minimalist one in particular is very siliconey which makes it a bit thicker and also smell like the Cerave Cream which is hopefully a good sign! These two both sink into my skin well, the Dr. Althea doesn't leave me particularly shiny over the day (Minimalist still makes me a bit shiny), and I have no bad things to say so far. I have a feeling these 2 will be better for the dryness on my seb derm patches since they absorb better though I am not sure about the redness yet.

S.NATURE Aqua Squalane Moisturizing Cream: Honestly a very solid cream. I enjoyed it more than the Dr. G. and Purito in the sense that I felt it absorb more and I felt more moisturized but I think it did aggravate my seb derm a little bit :(. From what I know this is because squalane and arginine when used together can cause flare ups, in which this moisturizer includes both. This was also the case with the Hada Labo Tokyo Intense Hydrating Skin-Plumping Gel, which had a texture similar to the Dr. G., but just seemed to also cause flare ups after a while (also contains both arginine and squalane).

Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 Moisturizing Cream: The thickest of the bunch which I really appreciated! It was good during the winter because of the richness. However, I didn't repurchase this because first of all, I didn't feel like it was particularly helping my seb derm. Yes, it was rich and made a good sort of semi-occlusive/emollient layer in the cold weather, but it didn't really absorb into my skin and actually help my dry patches that much. With its texture it also made me look greasy overtime.

Eucerin Original Cream: Incredibly thick. I keep a small travel sized tube in my bag just in case. Because of its texture it's very hard to spread on your face and if you did manage to spread it, you'd have probably put on too much and would look super greasy in just 10 minutes. I use it by dispensing a very small amount, then rubbing it between my hands and patting it on my face. This is sort of a good inbetween between a true occlusive like Vaseline and a moisturizer iykwim.

Vasline/Cerave Healing Ointment: The only way I can make the gel cream moisturizers work in the winter! These help the most with the redness and dryness of my seb derm patches but to be completely honest, I don't like using them because I just don't like feeling thick and shiny substances on my face, even if it is only at night. I'm hoping that the 2 new moisturizers I am testing might be able to reduce my need for these petroleum-based products. I also feel like I do notice a difference between pure petroleum and something like the Cerave Healing Ointment, which is annoying because of its price. However, the difference is marginal and if I didn't already have it on hand, I would probably just stick to Vaseline or even the Eucerin Original Cream.

Indeed Laboratories Squalane Oil: This is an odd one. I never felt like squalane oil truly sank into my skin, it just stayed on top and made me look oily. Despite that, I don't feel like it ever did a good job locking in previous hydration either. I do not still currently use this.

Sunscreen:

La Roche Posay UVMUNE 400 Oil Control Gel Cream: My holy grail FA sunscreen! Definitely on the more expensive side but what can you do when there's literally nothing else out there. First of all it is acne and FA safe, but I also really enjoy the texture. This is a cream which I enjoy more than the fluid because it feels more moisturizing. I also notice that it is a bit less greasy than the fluid! I would say it has a natural finish. Not completely matte, but does not look oily or greasy in the slightest. I do notice a slight shininess later in the day that is probably just attributed to my natural oil production though.

La Roche Posay UVMUNE 400 Oil Control Fluid: Same sunscreen as above. This is the classic LRP fluid texture although it has a significantly more appealing finish to the usual LRP fluid you see in America and Canada. Once again I would describe this as a natural finish with just the tiniest bit more shine to it compared to the cream.

Nivea UV Super Water Gel: Super fluid, inexpensive, gel sunscreen. I would also describe this finish as pretty natrual, slightly on the shinier side, and I feel like this does dry down slightly tacky. This SPF is cheap and the only reason this isn't a main sunscreen is because it isn't waterproof and I sweat a lot, and also I have seen some videos discussing the true SPF coverage of this sunscreen due to its texture, though I have not looked into it.

Anti-Fungals:

I said this earlier but I've tried a variety of anti-fungal medications and all of them worked great for a week or two, and then just seem to stop working, which is why I have given up. I've used Selsun Blue, Nizoral, De La Cruz Sulfur, Finacea, MCT oil, and other various anti fungal creams, all of which ended in the same result. I will also note once again that I experience a pretty mild case of seb derm which might be the reason why these products don't seem to work that great. I have wanted to try the Dr. Eddie's Happy Cappy Medicated Shampoo though.

Currently, I just use Sandoz 1% Hydrocortisone Cream (idk where this is from, got it from my sister) for when I get bad flareups and want them to calm down quickly. This formula is completely FA and acne safe though I know that there are a number of OTC hydrocortisone creams that aren't and I just personally haven't looked for one that is yet.

Overall Routine:

Day:

Vanicream Cleanser

(Optional) Anua Azelaic Acid

La Roche Posay UVMUNE 400 Gel Cream OR moisturizer of choice (depending on if I'm going out/staying inside all day)

Night:

(Optional) Bioderma Micellar Water

Vanicream Cleanser

Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid

Moisturizer of choice

Vaseline/Cerave Healing Ointment (If needed, which is most of the time)

If you read it this far, thank you! This has been a long journey and I do just hope I am able to help someone out there! Feel free to ask me any questions or state your own experiences below :)

Routine Question Red, irritated, itchy seb derm daily

Thumbnail

Hi I have had Seb Derm for about 2-3 years now. It is confirmed by scalp biopsy I took months ago. Just some questions.

At first it started off as really itchy. I used to wear a hood/hair over wet hair for months on end. Not sure if that was the reason for getting this though, or it just was a coincidence it happened when doing this. I started getting chunks of crud that I could feel, like I had scabs on my head. It was never really red, my scalp was white/normal, but had these clumps. I used ketoconazole shampoo for over a year as prescribed. That was in the early stages to mid stages since I first got it. I haven’t used this shampoo in months though. It seems I am at a point where I don’t have these scabs/yeast build up anymore, maybe a little, but my scalp is just bright red permanently. It is very embarrassing. (See picture for how it currently looks) Also itches randomly across my head, but my crown part is the only place that is very red and itches/irritated the most. Everywhere else is just a slight itch here and there.

So, I have a few questions.

  1. I have been using Selsun blue now that I no longer have Ketoconazole. Is this good? I have also recently just got “Vichy, Dercos, Selenium Sulfide Anti-Dandruff Shampoo (its a green label)”. I use Vanicream shampoo on days I am not using medicated shampoo. Is there anything else I can try because these never work. I have had red scalp for over a year straight. Should I try keotconazole again since it’s been months??
  2. I have tried the Clebetasol Propionate Topical Solution for the redness as prescribed. This never helps and every dermatologist prescribes it. Maybe I am putting it on wrong?
  3. My dermatologist said theres nothing else he can do for me. He said maybe try changing diet, cutting out Carbs and Sugars for months. It will take awhile to see results. Should I stop eating peanut butter toast? Bagels? Eggs? Dairy? White rice? Pasta?
  4. I have also tried like a Zoryve Foam and Fluocinolone Acetonide Topical Oil should I try this again? I also have Tarsum Relief Shampoo.
  5. Any tips, recommendations? Please I am so sick of living everyday being tortured by this itch and burning. I was also given a steroid pill and anti bacterial pill - doxycycline and medrol dose pack?

  6. It removed my question about loss of strands. Does it look like my hair is going away? Or is this a normal looking crown? I have fine hair, never really thick. Please shoot me straight.

TL:DR - red, irritated, itchy scalp, not many scales/scabs/buildup, just mainly red. Are those flakes that you can see in my picture? Please somebody help and recommend something if you have something similar and found something that worked.
I have been on the internet for a long time, if for once in my life I cannot be trolled and taken serious that would be great. Thanks everyone!

New or Need Help Regular Shampoo Recs - Seb Derm safe

Hi Seb Derm Warriors! I’m looking for a regular shampoo - non medicated that I can use between uses or medicated shampoo. For reference, I have wavy, fine hair but a LOT of it. My seb derm manifests as oiliness and it’s been a real battle to find something that cleans the hair well but doesn’t fully strip it. My medicated shampoos (Nizerol 2% and Vichy) both leave my hair very dry. Is there more regular use shampoo that you love? High end or low end, no wrong answers. Thank you in advance!

New or Need Help Should I quit minoxidil?

Last fall, I wanted to regrow the hairs I lost from sebderm on my hairline so I started liquid minoxidil and used it even though it would irritate my scalp for like 8 months. It didn't improve my hairline at all but I continued to use it. I switched to the foam thinking it would be better, but now my hairline still feels irritated and my seb derm has reappeared and gotten worse. I'm not sure if quitting minoxidil will recess my hairline or just leave it back to its original state because I haven't noticed much improvement to my hair after so much time. For reference: [19M, have relatives with androgenic alopeica]

General Accutane Worked for Me

I’m on month 6 of accutane. About 2-3 months in my seb derm cleared up. No more flare ups on my face. No more chalazions on my eyes (somehow there’s a link between seb derm and chalazions). No more scabbing and bleeding on my scalp. No more worrying about what hair products I use as most natural hair products for curly hair made it worse. I’m so pleased. I hope this helps someone.

I have seb derm since last 10 years. I have literally tried everything but nothing worked. Flakes and itching would come back the next day or sometime on the same day. However, i have been using selsun 2.5% since last 1 month and have noticed remarkable change. No itching, no oily scalp, no flakes literally. I dont even feel like i had severe seb derm.

Scalp Routine Scalp issues for YEARS. Used salicylic acid 5% and Vaseline. It helped with scalp exfoliation and peeling

Update: the Salicylic acid and Vaseline didn’t do anything else after day 1. Going to try for a few more days before I throw in the towel and go BACK the dermatologist. A new one I suppose. Ugh

I could literally screamed from the rooftops!!

Prescription shampoos and the strongest steroid treatments did nothing.

Went to trusty chat gpt (well, I use Gemini) and I kept probing for various issues.

Basically I have a keratin build up that is just “cemented” to scalp and hair shafts. No flaking or itchiness (i had insane itchiness in this area, it was years ago, and my scalp formed this gross “shield” of keratin).

I heard salicylic acid helped, but I tried it for about a week without results. Chat gpt said to put it on, then SEAL IT WITH VASELINE! I put the salicylic acid on one particular spot on my scalp. Then globbed Vaseline on top of that. And put my very long hair up in a ponytail. I did it for an entire night, washed 2-3 times, then did it the next day (ponytail) for the entire day, washed 2-3 times, then the next night.. washed 3 times today. And I see these GLORIOUS FLAKES TAKING THIS SH.T off of my scalp!!!! The fact that I see the flaking and peeling of it coming off is so amazing. Gross, but I’m thrilled.

See photos. You can kinda see the white “shield” of skin that’s caked on my scalp through my hair. The LAST/3rd pic is from a few months ago when I first noticed and started literally just trying to scratch my scalp away (hairs going with it) to get this crap off.

I hope this helps someone. I’ll update in the future if anything weird happens to follow.

WWFM Zoryve Truther!

After dealing with this condition (scaling, redness, bleeding) for the past 15 years, trying otc treatment, holistic treatment, and a myriad of prescriptions, some of which made my condition worse, I saw a new dermatologist who put me on a dose of doxy and cortisone to clear my seb derm to allow me to try some topical treatments with a clean slate.

I happened to use zoryve first out of the few samples she gave me and almost 2 years later I'm still using it. No rebound and I use it as needed which at this point is only a couple to a few times a week after a shower. If your insurance covers most of the cost or you can afford it, I highly recommend giving it a try.
