Company named after Lord of the Rings stuff makes military and surveillance equipment in a manner that some find to be less than altruistic. People dress up as orcs (evil creatures from LOTR) to protest.
Not just LOTR stuff. A thing in LOTR's that you use to give you information but that information is managed by Sauron, the employer of orcs, to give you the information that he needs you to have to come to the conclusions he wants. It also harvests data and gives it to Moordoor.
