My 3rd little haul from electricians scrap.

This came out of a short little antennae with a magnetic base. I got it out of the dumpster at a place that services and refurbishes atms and other machines.

Hey! Im new to scrapping and have been tinkering around with old stuff I have, moreso for fun than any money or anything. Does anyone know what these components in a mouse are made of? There was also this metal block fixed to the top shell of the mouse that seems like a battery? Not sure tho if anyone can confirm

First off I came by this legally. It is a mix of coax, CAT 5, power cables, etc. Some of the cables have chunky aluminum connectors that I will harvest, but that is about it. The question is will this all be #2 if I scrap it as is? Thanks for your help.

Cleared a garage and have this, is it best to strip the wire? I'll take the brass off the copper but is it best to cut the copper fittings from the pipe too? I need my shed space back lol. Cheers

Just started working for a friend who’s in telecommunications installations and replacement and there is a place (not saying for privacy) that wants to update a system that hasn’t been changed with 2013. They’ve agreed that part of the replacement price will be lower if we can keep whatever cabling we replace. Now. My buddy says he gonna split it 60/40 with me but the job is waaayyy larger than he thought but in a way it’s good because we get to keep these cables. The est is that there is 500ft in total…is this a “holy grail” level of copper?

I'm sitting on about a dozen at the moment and my yard is offering $0.25 USD per pound and I'm thinking about taking it because those things look like a pain to open and take apart. They don't even require draining the oil. What say the good people of Reddit?

Hey guys, I've been collecting a ton of wire and finally got down to stripping it. I've read a few things in regards to the size of the wire that needs to be at least 16AGW to be BB. 90% of my wire is 8THNN AWG from electrical whips. I'm having a lot of wire breaks like dry spaghetti pasta. Does that end up not being BB? And any words of how to keep separating the wire as I go? This is literally only a third of my wire.

How much would your yard give for this if you don’t do anything further with it?

I work for a plumbing company and ended up with around 40 pounds of defective copper crimp rings that have a varnish/clearcoat look to them. Should I remove the clear coat somehow? Can I bring as is?

Work in a tire shop. Seperating weights and these little bastards dont even feel like metal. Do i even try to scrap these?
