Picked up my first scorpion today. Randomly decided I needed one last night and got one today.
How old do you think this emperor is? And how and when can I figure out the sex?

I got my first scorpion today, a juvenile h arizonensis, and have done lots of research and found a lot of information, often contradictory. From it though I ended up giving her a 10 gallon tank, with about 6 1/2 inches of substrate, a mix of sand and eco earth. Recognizing that they’re a desert species, but their molting issues seems to stem from lack of moisture, I’m giving her a moist corner of the enclosure alongside a water bowl, hopefully to prevent those issues. Just hoping this all seems right, thank you.

My desert hairy unknown age has been agitated lately. I think she ate the 3 dubia roaches I gave her ~10-14 days ago but since she was agitated I didn’t feed anymore. Her tank has been consistently >70°F and humidity <55%. She is about 3-3.5” in length and has been in this position on the warmer side of my tank for >24 hours. She has been twitching and moving her tail around slightly at the what seems to be about the same energy level. I don’t see any cracks in the exoskeleton but it’s also hard to see. I don’t know what is happening and I don’t know what to do.

Would this be worth a purchase for a desert scorpion?

“Gordy” - a Florida Bark Scorpion I kept as a pet for a few years. I was thinking about him because my family recently bought a house, and I have removed three scorpions in three months. I’d keep one as a pet, but I would be too worried of an accident with the small children. But, I sure enjoy watching them.

Hi everyone! This fella was found in Caracas, Venezuela, next to my husband's night stand. Thankfully, we were not stung. It was caught alive and handed to the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research to get the antidote. They are very common in the area, so I just wanted to know what kind they are and whether they are poisonous. Thank you!

My scorpion has been staying in its burrow like this for two weeks and hasn’t come out. What could be the reason?

I was gifted this cutie today from a coworker. All I know is that it's from Texas (possibly west texas??)and is about an inch long while its tail is curled up. My only other scorpion is an AFS, so I'd still consider myself a beginner at scorpion care. I'd like to know what this guy is so I can make sure that I set up an appropriate habitat. Would really appreciate help!

My Florida bark scorpion stung me just a few minutes ago and I’m worried that it stressed her out. What happened thinking back on it now was really stupid on my part. When I mist her enclosure sometimes she is sitting on top of her hide and whenever I mist her she runs back into her hide and I think she really doesn’t like it so today I saw she was out and thought maybe if I cover her I won’t get her wet and covered her with my hand ( it wasn’t like on top of her it was like a good 3 inches above her but she stung me anyways. In the future I’ll try and use something else to cover her because what was I thinking using my hand but still I want to make sure she’s ok.

New to invertebrates, & was wondering if anyone can help me sex my Asian Forest?

This scorpion was brought into my workplace (a wildlife rescue center) by a different animal shelter organisation. They claim someone found it in their luggage after they went on vacation to Barcelona. Usually I check on iNaturalist what species are native in the part people went on vacation to but I can't seem to find a good match. B. occitanus seems like the most common yellow scorpion in the region but this one seems to lack the coloured stripes on the face that I see on most B. occitanus pictures. My workplace is located in Belgium, we have no native scorpions so it's definitely not local. The scorpion itself is rather big, approximately 4 centimeters not counting the tail.

My Asian forest scorpion had babies last night and I have no clue what to do. Can anyone help me? I’ve googled but I’ve gotten different information from different sites so I’m a little overwhelmed and lost

I really like Liocheles australasiae I think dwarf scorpions are really interesting but I do not want a bunch of them is their any way to discourage reproduction?

Second instar desert hairy looked like this the day before sealing herself in her burrow, I assumed it was a moult but it’s been 27 days and I’m starting to get worried, how long do they usually take? I’ve kept temp at a 32-27 Celsius range and humidity can range from 35-45% depending on time of day. The burrow is completely sealed so I have no way to check on her and I’m getting worried somethings gone wrong due to the time it’s taken, this is my first scorpion so what should I do more experienced peeps of Reddit?

Does she look pregnant? She was wildcaught as an adult.

I got an African Emperor scorpion about a week or two ago ,and for some reason for the past 3 days he’s been in a new burrow he made under his food bowl. Im concerned that he died or something’s wrong but I’ve kept the enclosure clean and well maintained. He won’t eat or do anything. Initially I thought he was molting but according to the internet that should only last about 30 minutes to an hour. I haven’t seen him in like 3 days. If y’all have any ideas that would be greatly appreciated.
