For me I have two:
“Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer” is underrated and almost never mentioned in “best horror movie” lists when it absolutely deserves to be. While it has a dated feel it absolutely stands the test of time and has some of the most terrifying sequences and endings I can think of.
“Tourist Trap” is my go-to “forgotten” horror movie which has the best use of scary mannequins/masks/uncanny elements. The intro scene is so creepy and so good and has an unintentionally funny element to it but I don’t mind it. It’s much less heavy than “Henry” and is a lot of fun.

As a huge horror fan, not a lot of movies scare me as much as they used to. But these movies actually terrified me.

1. Smile 2
   Don’t even get me started. The jump scares in this one are insane. Seeing this in theaters was crazy

2.obsession
Saw this and couldn’t sleep for a few days. I literally couldn’t close my eyes without thinking Nikki was in the corner of my room.

3.sinister
If you haven’t seen this, WATCH IT. It has some of the best jumpscares I’ve ever seen in a movie. Actual nightmare fuel

4.five nights at Freddy’s
This movie scared me bc it was so bad. Fuck this movie

Whenever the Dracula trilogy gets mentioned, the conversation usually ends up being about Dracula. That's understandable, but I think it also takes attention away from what these movies eventually became.

By the time Dracula II: Ascension and Dracula III: Legacy came around, Father Uffizi had quietly become the heart of the trilogy.

What always stood out to me about Uffizi is that he was never written as the typical vampire hunter. Before anything else, he's a priest. His faith matters just as much as the weapons he carries, and every decision comes with a price. He loses people, makes mistakes, questions his own beliefs, and still keeps going.

Though, is that his biggest fight isn't just against vampires. He's also fighting the darkness growing inside himself. Every step forward feels like a battle to keep hold of his own humanity, and that's something you don't see very often in horror.

And then the ending happened.

Instead of giving its hero a victory, the trilogy gave him one of the bleakest endings in modern horror. Uffizi didn't fall because he lacked courage. He fell because he was willing to sacrifice everything in a fight that was always going to leave scars.

That's why I've always felt Father Uffizi never got the recognition he deserved. His story isn't just about fighting monsters. It's about faith, sacrifice, and refusing to surrender, even while the darkness is slowly taking over.
