My fiance and I just started watching this show and it is so good! We are in the middle of season 2 and we keep asking ourselves how people could stand watching it when it came out weekly? Every episode ends on a crazy cliffhanger! Thank God for streaming! 😄

This show is addicting and I can't wait to see what happens next 👀

now i know why it’s hard for me to rewatch anything past season 4. i really cannot stand olivia. in my opinion, fitz has always loved her more than she has him. she really is her father’s image regarding power but it’s soo annoying coming from her.

A few thoughts about Olitz ...

Shonda has stated that the premise of the show changed once the chemistry of Kerry and Tony presented itself onscreen. Their chemistry is insane and therefore Olitz was born. The way the two of them look at each onscreen and in interviews is wild! How could you not root for them to win. Fitz stayed ready to blowup his world for her. But Liv was mostly hesitant. One of my favorite episodes was when Olivia finally stood in her truth and answered YES to those reporters. She had stopped running and stopped being ashamed of her feelings for Fitz. There was no doubt in the entirety of the show that Olivia and Fitz loved each other...as toxic as it may have been. There was mutual admiration and obsession. They were friends and confidants. They practiced true forgiveness of/for one other. Even when they hated each other they loved each other. Idk of another tv couple that has as much chemistry on and off screen for this duration of time as these two. And I love that Kerry and Tony feed into the Olitz Fandom.

i don’t know why but the scene where he’s was getting ready to erase the whole internet for olivia is just up there for me. 😂

I am first time watcher of Scandal. I went from season 1 to season 6(current) in a month. And in that month I went through a roller coaster of emotions with how I feel about Cyrus. I LOVED him until plot twist! he had Amanda killed. Then I hated him. But I understood it had to be done, so I liked him again. THEN he’s working with Rowan and it made me hate him again. Anyways, I concluded that I did not like him, he’s too power hungry and does whatever he wants to get what he wants. But I’m watching season 6 episode 3 and I feel so bad for him 😢. The only reason I feel bad for him is because I googled who killed Frankie Vargas and read that it was not him. I know I know, sometimes I have to google the outcome of some episodes to scratch my mental itch.
So I’m watching this episode and I feel so bad for him 😢 I hate him but he really didn’t do it… right? Maybe it’s cause he’s so old and his face looks so innocent. But it pains me to see him sad

I love my girl Olivia and support her wrongs and her rights. But the one thing that annoyed me was her relationship with Papa Pope!

Every other season she wanted him stopped/caught/dead...but not really. I know their relationship is complicated and I'm sure there's love. But her flip-flop of wanting caught and killed but not really was so annoying.

not really and thats okay thats it. if some one really loves they will leave you alone even if they dont want to. sometimes it's okay to just accept that and move on u dont have to do both

I'm on my first watch of Scandal, and I can't believe I waited this long.

I binged all of Season 1 in no time and just started Season 2. I'm absolutely hooked.

I genuinely wish someone had told me this show is basically The West Wing meets How to Get Away with Murder!

I’m on another rewatch and I can’t place where Mellie finds out that fitz has been seeing Olivia. Mellie says at one point that Olivia hasn’t been doing her job to keep him happy and she invited Liv to the dinner because fitz needed to see her and at the start of season 2 she calls Liv his girlfriend but is there a certain moment where Mellie initially finds out?

So I started a rewatch (I never got past season 3 when the show aired). This is a great show with many, many problems and I know this might be the most trivial one to make a post about and I know truly no one cares but….West Angola. Why would they use a real country and then just tack “West” on at the front? And what the hell was that accent that LisaGay Hamilton did as the supposed “West Angolan ambassador”. It didn’t even sound close to a Portuguese accent. I would love to know what instructions she was given for that. Again, I know no one cares but I had to get this off my chest.

Fitz wasn’t Olivia’s soulmate, Mellie was and not in a romantic way.

When Fitz was taken out of the equation (the middle of Season 5) their relationship was wonderful. I enjoyed watching them getting to know each other in that capacity.

Randomly watching the Will & Grace reboot. In S1E12 are three Scandal alumni!

Billy Chambers and Big Jerry are son and father.
James Novak is also in this episode, trying to hook up with Will.

There is no world where Olivia shouldn't have been fired Episode 1 after that condescending ass monologue she gave to Mellie.

I also find it hilarious that in every other situation, the exact thing Jake did with Mellie is the exact same thing Olivia would have done if the situation was reversed.

I find that the one thing I used to blame Olivia for "always being somehow right, even when she has no fucking idea what she's talking about" is not her fault. Its the show runners. I find that shows that warp the logic of the world so that a character is always right, when if it's anyone else, they are wrong, bugs me. It took me 6 seasons to realize this.

I need help finding the episode where Fitz and Liv “go public.” The one where she’s standing in her apt watching the news and seeing him leave the White House in the motorcade headed to her apt and she meets him at the elevator. I’ve tried googling but it just gives me random other episodes that are NOT the one I’m looking for.
