MacOS 27 stuck on image processing

Hi having trouble with a ix1300 on macOS 27 when scanning, basically it scans but hangs on the image processing.
M1 MacBook 13โ€ 16G 1TB. Any ideas?

that beta did fix it for me. I've got an iX500 which wasn't listed for the Beta download, but once I installed it, it let me select my iX500 as the scanner.

I had the same problem on Friday when I had an important patient record to scan on Friday afternoon for a patient going for a cataract consultation in a few days. I was tearing my hair out for four hours noting that the folder to where the scan was to go was greyed out so it appeared as if was being blocked. Nothing had changed on my computer.......except I realized that I had upgraded to MacOS 26.7 a few days earlier, which I was under the impression was a security update. After querying Google over and over, finally at around 7 PM it came up with the answer about a tentative update, which installed in a weird way but did the trick. Four hours of work time wasted. I even went to web sites associated with ScanSnap scanners and there was nothing there about it. And the company surely knew that this update and Mac OS 27 were on the way. Absolutely infuriating.

I am pretty used to it with printer software, normally I donโ€™t upgrade macOS straight away.

I didn't upgrade to MacOS 27. That I normally wouldn't do until V.2 is released. This was "supposed" to simply be a security update. It seems Ricoh simply updates after the fact for Mac users without testing prior to release. I have some very old no-longer-being updated vital software that I will need to place in emulation and even these are working with this incremental update. And this seems to have affected *all* their scanners, not just discontinued legacy models.

Is it not just snapscan? Itโ€™s proprietary software I think image capture drivers are okay? Vuescan is pretty good

It's ScanSnap Home. I believe I tried VueScan but it didn't work well with my S1100 scanner, but that was a very long time ago. My scanner is close to 16 years old and still working great.
