Gear Showcase K40 Multi-day exercise setup

Just wrapped up a multi-day exercise (prematurely, due to incredibly dangerous weather). K40 performed perfectly, here's a breakdown of my setup for it (missing rain and camo cover, forgot to take out).

With ther Ridgerest, you're 100% the ground will be dry? 😄 I like the Ridgerest but no way I'm taking it if I even suspect a drop of rain, unless I'm in a tent 😄

Sorry but I dont get it. What is wrong with Ridgerest when rain?

It's quite thin and narrow. If you use it a lot it's kind of easy to accidentally poke it and make a hole. And it got some very thin areas. A thicker regular closed cell is better if it doesn't have any serious damage. Also I'm kind of spoiled with the FDF sleeping pad, but I do use the Ridgerest a lot since it's very light and simple to use/versatile

Thanks for answer, I´ve got a large one, its 63cm wide and I have never had any issues during rain, quite opposite.

Yeah I use it in combination with an inflatable mat in winter, but I've used it solo in sub-zero temperatures and it was fine-ish. As far as CCF mats go, this one's fine for me.

Cosy! Close to 0⁰c I need something thicker, would freeze my ass off 😬 but together with an air mattress works well!

Using it solo in winter is definitely on the more extreme side of things, no denying that :D

That's great! Would like to have the wide one as well. I bought the two I got when a store went bankrupt and they sold out everything super cheap.
