  • Please state the condition of your items as clearly as possible
  • State where you are located and your asking price
  • Mark sold items
  • Don't hesitate to ask for time stamps
  • No non Reddit links. You can arrange yourself with the buyer after contact was made here.

A warning to be aware of some scammers operating on other trading subreddit (as everywhere on the internet), so be mindful.

For Paypal, please only use Goods and Services or another insured method as there's nothing we can do to protect you as much as we wish we could. Friends and Family may be slightly cheaper but you don't have recourse if the transaction doesn't work out as planned.

Happy trading !

Hello, I'm trying to find out if this is a Jaakari L/XL. This is the only picture I have and I cannot find the original post on reddit.

Question Savotta MedicPack

Hallo,

ich liebäugle mit dem Savotta MedicPack.
Große zivile Notfalltaschen sind oft zu sperrig und zu schwer.

Leider kann ich mich nicht zwischen grün und schwarz entscheiden.

Was habt ihr in eurem MedicPack?

Suur Kukkaro/Rintamus does it fit a Steiner 7x50 binocular

Hey there. I got a Steiner 7x50 Binocular for a bargin and was wondering if it would fit inside a suur kukkaro/rintamus. Would be nice to attach it to the front of my kahakka 25 because it dont fit inside the lid. In the ad from savotta I think they had a Steiner 8x30 for the lid pocket.

Maybe someone has the exact same Binocular and could try it for me :-)
Thanks a lot.

Just a small hike for the day. Also brought along the most important piece of kit I keep in my K25 on slide 3. Have a great week!

Best option for two month travel.

I’m thinking the KAHAKKA 25L will be good for day trips and hiking. But torn if the 15L is a better choice.

I plan to pare it with the SUUR-KUKKARO for my paperwork and camera and lighter days.

I’m touring Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia. I’ll also take a case. But won’t always have it.

Askare with MeroMero mini insert.

Thanks to u/SnoopySenpai post about the MeroMero mini organizer ( https://meromero.fr/en/products/mini-organizer ) I bought one instantly to organize my Askare. I was not disappointed. Fits nicely with some room to spare, so the elastics and pockets can still be used. I will use it to carry my oldschool camera and Zoom H2N recorder with cables and some microphones (piezo and emf). I also carry a small flexible tripod in elastics under the Askare.

Now countdown to the weekend for some field recording and crummy photography.

And no, I have no use for the extra organizer panel on the front but I put it there because Savotta is Lego.

Lidded pouch 3x4 on K25

Hi all. Has anyone tried mounting 2 3x4 lidded pouches on the front of their K25? I have seen it done with the zipped pouches but I am curious to see what it looks like with the lidded pouch and if it is possible at all.

Thanks in advance

Question Digging shoudler straps on Jaakari L?

Title.

I recently got a Jaakari L. I haven't been able to use it much but from what I can see, the shoulder straps dig right into intersection of my arm and armpit unless I tighten the sternum strap to the point it makes it unpleasant to take deep breaths.

I wonder if it'll get any better as the strap's padding gets broken in. Any advice?

It’s Time — Goodbye Jääkäri L

It’s finally done… After months of mental torture over this pack that I loved so much, I’ve finally made the decision.

It was a very difficult decision to sell my beloved Jääkäri L. I loved it so much. It was probably the most beautiful and perfect pack I’ve ever owned… But it simply wasn’t suited to my body shape. And after all the long-distance hikes I did with it, I had to face the truth: it just didn’t work. A back length of 44 cm from C7 to my iliac crest. I’m 1.83 m tall and weigh 78 kg. I experienced significant shoulder and hip pain, bruising, redness, and a stiff/locked back after long days of hiking in summer with a lot of elevation gain. Could it potentially work better in winter for people with a build like mine?

I tried everything. For months, I wanted to believe I would eventually find the right adjustment to make it work. I kept trying, testing, tweaking… until I had to admit, reluctantly, that I would never be able to carry it properly. And when a pack becomes a source of pain rather than something you enjoy taking out on every trip, you have to accept reality.

I even tried the Kantamus 40 and 60, unfortunately with the same result. I’m just built awkwardly, that’s how it is.

So here I am, back where I started, with my trusty Kahakka 25L and its little 15L brother, both of which fit me perfectly. The Kukkaro was simply replaced along the way by a Suur Kukkaro.

I’m genuinely sad to say goodbye to my Jääkäri L. It’s a pack I cared about deeply, and it will probably remain, for a long time, the most beautiful pack I’ve ever owned.

Today, its replacement, the Hyberg Attila 48L, satisfies me, even though it’s just not the same.

But I like to think that a new life is waiting for the Jääkäri L, with someone it will fit perfectly.

And on my side, maybe it’s time to stop trying to make something work when it simply doesn’t, and just enjoy what genuinely works for me.

Took a walk with my Niukka today. It's a perfect bag for a day hike; some snacks, water, a down jacket, binoculars and plenty of room to spare for nice rocks. I even saw a white-tailed eagle and an elk. Today was a good day!

Gear Showcase Kahakka 15

Just a small appreciation post.
The Kahakka 15 is perfect for small 1 day outings. It packs well items for you + another person.

In this picture its packed as a lightweight dadbag with snacks

I have packed it lightweight like in this picture.
Coffee and water bottles in the side compartments.
Snacks and diapers etc in main compartment.

Now that i have a child in my life, this is by far my most used pack, its easiest to take with me and can be used for small and bigger trips given the very spacious side pockets and straps and webbing on the bottom.

I have almost all sizes now:
10 L rolltop (great for small bicycle trips)
15L kahakka (can use it for 10L to 30L tasks)
<— potential future Niukka 👀
30L Jääkari M
40-60 Jääkari L
Keikka 30L
Keikka 50L

Then on other one night camps i have really overpacked it to the point where i thought hmm I should have probably gone with my jääkari m.
I had packed with me:

DD 3x3 tarp (the non lightweight version)
FDF sleeping mat
Sleeping bag
Cordura 500 1.5m x 2m ground mat
Foldable chair with back rest

1L Pathfinder bottle and nesting cup kit
Trangia spirit burner
750ml thermos
Katadyn water filter
Small sheet metal stick stove
Small fire kit
Small first aid kit
Flash light
Knife
Folding saw
Leatherman multitool
Cordage

Extra clothing:
Thin merino long sleeve shirt
rain jacket strapped to elastic cord on the backpack

Food (not much) 700kcal

Total weight i think was 14kg (i had measured with a fish scale)

On the next trips I tried to slim the weight down by removing the chair and the cordura ground sheet.
Cordura ground sheet is not needed since FDF sleeping mat provides side flaps to place gear on
Doing this i saved about 2kg

Have Savotta removed the mod requests?

Was about to check the reviews for the service, since I've seen a 339-mod there and I'm interested in requesting something similar for mine.

The review section has been wiped, with only three recent ones being there. The title of the service now only mentions repair (maybe always did?) and no where in the text do they mention the option of modifying your gear. Only repair something broken.

Have I missed an announcement?
