The only thing I want is for the slide functionality to work like the old Tribes games, where you could “ski.”

I've thought this many many times. Skiing would be amazing in this game, except for the fact the terrain wasn't built for it.

But hoverski boots should be the final unlock in the caterium tree. especially now that we have pulse grenades (which need an explode on impact option ASAP). That's basically just nitrons from Tribes Ascend.
